Every Move Counts (Chapter 4)~Bandana
Garroth's eyes widen as he finds out my name. A smile paints onto his face, "Come on, Laurance! Let's go tell the others!" Garroth seems cheerful. I can't help but have a smile on my face as well. Garroth grabs my wrist and drags me along, "Guys! Guys! This greenie knows his name!" Garroth crashes into the campfire. Everyone looks at Garroth and I. Vylad is practically on the edge of his seat as a look of excitement is on Zane's face. "Well... Do you want to tell them?" Garroth looks down at me and unwraps his hand from my wrist. I nod, then look back at the crowd. "My name is Laurance." I inform. "Laurance! Laurance! Laurance!" The crowd cheers. They don't stop chanting my name until Travis walks over to me. My body stiffens at his presence, since I haven't met him before, I want to make a good impression. "He-Hello, Travis." I stutter upon my words. Travis wraps something around my wrist. It's a bandana, "Welcome to Roto, Laurance." He greets. I can't help but smile once again, "Thank you." The stuttering completely disappears from my voice. Travis smiles, "This is about you, now. Enjoy it." Travis then disappears into the crowd of men. I look down at my wrist and take a good glance at it. It's green, just like the grass and trees. I glance in Garroth's direction, but see that he's not there. I scan the crowd and see Garroth sitting by Dante, chatting. I glance at Vylad and Zane then sit down by them. The three of us talk for the rest of the night. Laughing, smiling and just having fun. Travis starts to hit a pan with a spoon to get everyone's attention. Everyone grows silent, "It's time to go to bed... We have a lot of work to do tomorrow." Travis commands. One by one, people start disappearing to the hammocks. I'm one of the last ones. As I'm about to leave, I feel a hand slap onto my wrist. I turn around and see Travis there. "You're special. Be careful about what you say to the others, ok?" Travis informs. I nod, then he releases my wrist. I run off to the hammocks and soon, fall asleep.
•Dream•
Lights.
Flashing lights.
Beeping sounds that could break eardrums.
I scream.
"Shut up, Laurance! You're not helping!" A male voice says to me.
I twist my heel and see Jeffory; one of the runners, standing there.
He was the one who yelled at me.
"What's going on?" I ask him.
"A security breach! If you scream, the robbers will hear us!" Jeffory exclaims.
I cower down and hide under a desk as Jeffory hides behind a large screen that reaches the ground.
I realize that I'm by a girl, "Hello?" She asks.
"Uhh... Hi." I reply.
The girl has tan skin, caramel eyes and black hair. She's absolutely beautiful.
Someone screams. I peel my head over the desk and see Garroth with a dagger thru the chest. Garroth falls to the ground.
I hide under the desk once again by the girl and start chewing on the nubs I call nails.
"What's your name?" She asks.
"Laurance.. Yours?" I reply. I'll need her name if I want to protect her.
"A--"
A watery substance falls over my vision.

•Reality•
The sun shines in my eyes. "Hello?" I turn in the hammock, but soon find myself face first into the ground. "Nice going, Greenie." Someone's voice rings in my ears. I look up at the male who said that, "My name isn't greenie. It's Laurance." I correct. The man looks back at me. His eyes are as dark as his hair, "Don't tell me what to do." And with that, he walks off.
