Dedicated to ektakhan19 Who doesn't seem to understand how much I love her long comments yet because she keeps saying sorry for them , I am writing this update first when I was supposed to work on Miss X so I can read your feedback ..See your feedbacks are treasured and valued .

One week later ..

Sanskar was restless because he felt like something was wrong with Swara even when he just texted her and got her reply back . He was still nervous and worried because he never seen her breakdown like that before and her tears were like dagger to his heart.

He had promised his family that he would spend two weeks with them , his mother complained that he was working too much and needed a break ,even then he delayed agreeing to it because two weeks without seeing Swara was something he didn't envision at the moment but his mother persistence payed off and he agreed just to appease her .

" You are really not here ..Are You " his sister asked him last night when he failed to listen to her speaking with him as he was lost in his thoughts. She probably wouldn't understand about unrequited love when she just got engaged to her long time boyfriend .

" You should have just brought Rohith ,so that he can listen to you talk non stop " he answered back and regretted it the moment he spoke up because truth was his parents did invite Rohith but it had been Uttara who said she wanted to spend some time with them before her marriage and he has hurt his sister by his words.

Sanskar felt like an idiot even after apologizing to her after that and spending the next two hours talking with her because in truth his sister had been right ,he wasn't able to fully seperate his thoughts from Swara and focus on his family .

" Tell her Son , you can't go on like this .." his mother voice spoke up as she sat beside him ,he didn't know what she was talking about as he turned to see her looking at him with concern .

" Swara..Tell her that you love her , I have thought being away from her would help but apparently your heart is too engaged with her . Don't look at me like that ,I am your mother Sanskar and I know when my son is in love and when he is hurt because the girl he loves fails to see him . " his mother spoke up leaving him shocked because he had always believed he was doing a great job of hiding his emotions because so far Swara couldn't even suspect that her best friend was secretly hoping one day she would wake up and see him as more than a friend .

" It not her fault ma , I am her friend and I shouldn't have loved her " he answered back because truthfully he could never impose his love on her when she offered nothing except friendship .

" How long are you going to hide it away Sanskar , how could you give up with out trying . Talk to her ,tell her how you feel and maybe maybe she would feel the same as well ,how would you know if you keep the walls around your heart intact " his mother spoke up leaving him confused all of a sudden .

Yes he had hoped at times to be brave enough to tell her ,but each of those moments he hesitated because he knew deep down Swara never seen him more than a friend , she talked about her dates and her attempts to find the one but never once asked about his love life , she hadn't shown the least bit of interest about him .

At first he had assumed it was because of Kavitha and she believed he was still not over her and so had told her often about how she helped him move on and tried to tell her with words that he was no longer caught up in his past ,she had been happy for him of course but her mind never settled on to the fact he could love someone else.

He hadn't imagined it was possible at first either , When Swara offered a branch of friendship he accepted it for everything she stood for loyalty ,strength and hope. He needed some of her light as he waddled through his darkness but at the end of tunnel he realized she not only extinguished his darkness but captured his heart as well.

His mother was right ,he had a choice before him to speak up and make her realize that he was in love with her and work it out between them on how to move forward or remain silent and wait for her to fall in love with him on her own. The first option should have been the logical choice yet he never could do so because he couldn't lose her because he had been selfish to want more from her.

" Are you even listening to me " his mother words brought him back to the present and he ignored to answer her question and changed the topic to something else ,she knew him well enough to not say anything about it but her words played on a loop through out the day .

Ragini looked at her sister and wondered what had gone wrong ,she looked miserable and even her son Rishi couldn't make her smile which was almost unimaginable ,to Ragini her son was almost perfect. And she knew her sister felt the same yet today she didnt even rush to take him from her.

" Okay you are not this miserable because of Avinash right ,if what I heard from you is correct than you broke up with him " Ragini spoke up once her son fell asleep and she placed him in his crib and walked back to her sister .

" It nothing Ragini " her sister lied to her and Ragini understood she couldn't pry the information out of her but she knew someone who could and so she texted Sanskar later that night asking if he knew the reason Swara had been miserable,sometime Ragini wondered how easy it would have been if those two fell in love with each other.

" What are you planning " her husband asked her as he noticed she was lost in her thoughts and she briefed him about everything.

" Well my dear wife ,we can help your sister only if she opens her eyes and realises she won't be able to find the one because she is already in love with my cousin " Laksh answer came as a shock to her that she starred at him as if he had gone crazy .

" Do you think I dont wish it was that easy ,but Swara had claimed often that Sanskar was just her friend and even if what you say is true what about your cousin . He is still locked up in the past ,the man had always refused all of my matchmaking endeavours. "Ragini answered back at her husband wondering how he couldn't be more wrong about it .

" Yet again you only prove I am right Ragini ,My cousin is saying no to all of your matchmaking as you call it because he is in love with your sister and too much of a coward to act on it " Laksh answered her back as if it explained everything but it really didn't if they loved each other why are they not doing anything about it ,she didn't have to ask the question out loud because her husband seem to understand her confusion.

" They are scared Ragini of losing each other , I understand them because I had been scared too of losing you as a friend that I tried to run away from my feelings as those two that why I know it ,you just have to been in the same room as those two to realize the truth " Laksh answered back and Ragini couldn't understand it not really , but she could accept it .

Ragini had only loved Laksh that she didn't understand the hesistance the comes up with falling in love again . She wanted to push both of them to the end line but she understood Laksh reasons for staying silent until now . Some battles are meant to be fought alone and as much as Ragini loves her sister,she knows her sister need to arrive at her own destination back that night she didn't realize she had already played her part inadvertently .

Swara couldn't sleep that night . She was miserable and yet she couldn't even confide in her sister . Love was supposed to bring happiness to life not this utter desolation ,truth was love didn't make her miserable but it was her lack of courage .

She had been hiding away from Sanskar ,she hoped he would assumed the distance would help her find control over her emotions ,so she distanced herself as much as possible . She ended his call within few minutes ,texted him briefly and vaguely but it didn't help in the least .

Since sleep eluded her ,she decided to do catch up on work instead . Because she hadn't been able to concentrate on her work either that she had to being it back home to finish . Looking at the numbers for hours helped that she finally fell asleep in the living room couch and when she woke up few hours later ,she found herself starring at the man who haunted both her dream and life.

She let out a scream to see him standing before her looking at her with concern ,granted she had given him the passcode to her house but she didn't understand what he was doing in her house when he was supposed to be on the vacation with his family . And why didn't he knock like a normal person .

Swara tried to think about all those things to keep her mind from venturing out to the reason for his visit and because she hadn't still decided on what to do about him . She must have been starring at him for more than a minute without a word that he looked really concerned .

" What going on Swara ,when Ragini said you were miserable I didn't believe it until I saw the evidence all around me . If you really loved him why did you break up with him .I can't see you this miserable " he spoke up and she had her answer about his heart ,he wouldnt ask her to get back with someone else if he had even a slight inclination towards her as more than a friend.

And it made her want to cry all the more because until now she had a bit of hope that maybe maybe he could grew to love her . When he approached her to hug her ,she held her hand to stop him because she couldn't find the solace in his arms not tonight.

" Shona you are scaring me .What going on ?" He spoke up and she heard the frustration in his voice but looking at him upset for her ,she also knew she had to make up her mind. It hadn't been a easy choice ,she want to hold on to him for a little awhile but it was the right one.

" I Love You Sanskar . And i know you don't feel the same about me ,and as much as I care about our friendship I need sometime away from you just until I can find a way to be just your friend " Swara spoke up and she expected to see pity in his face for the poor girl who went on fall in love with the wrong guy and acceptance that they couldn't be friend anymore not until she got control of her emotions but what she didn't expect to see was a huge smile in his face instead .

The Sanskar she knew and loves would never laugh at her plight and yet he had been smiling at her with relief flickering behind his eyes that she couldn't fail to notice and she was still grasping on what it means but found herself back in his arms the next second.

" I never imagined it could happen ,I hoped of course for so long but I didn't think I could be this lucky " he spoke up and she had to tilt her head to look at him in confusion and wonder what he was speaking up about and why does he sound so happy , he eyes flickered over hers and it was the moment everything began to make sense.

" You Love Me? " she asked him and yet couldn't keep her voice from shaking up in fear because she wanted to hope and dream but feared she would crash and burn instead .

" More than you could ever imagine " he answered back and just like that her heart soared with joy and happiness that eluded her for so long, was within her reach . And when his head bent a little to kiss her as if he has been waiting for this moment forever ,she knew he spoke the truth .

But she couldn't imagine how he can love her and yet never tell her about it , it has been just a week but she couldn't hold herself back and she knew from his words just now that he loved her for a long time and she couldn't imagine remaining his friend when her heart wanted him all to herself,she had too many questions in her mind at the moment but when his lips sealed over hers she forgot all of them .

His kiss held the answer to his heart and she knew she was loved by him. She kissed him back trying to convey her love for him by more than words .

" Marry me, " he whispered once they broke apart , and she laughed at his sudden proposal then her eyes filled with tears as they cascaded down her face . Because Swara Bose has finally found the one for her .

She knew it the moment he said those words that he was worth the wait and the long path she undertook before finding him . When she said yes to marry Laksh ,she had been filled with hopes about the future and yet she had never envisioned them until the moment she did and realized he wasn't the one for her but with Sanskar ,she can already see everything about their future.

A future filled with happiness and the knowledge that she was loved , a future where she would always have him to lean on , a future filled with their children ,a future where she would live without regret because in the end ,all her choices led her to him . And she wouldn't have it any other way .

" Yes " She answered back without hesitation because she was no longer scared of the distant future and she said yes because she couldn't wait to get married to the man before her.
