is this just another classic case of men are most scared about being laughed at by women while women are most scared about being killed by men when it comes to dating?

perhaps this is because men start believing they could do better? Maybe the women feel like its dangerous and the fear of losing this man because the other might treat her worse? Perhaps they believe that security is rare because the bar is staggeringly low? Is it true that men are greedy creatures and women are insecure and hopeless? Is that what this means?
