Take It, And Put It Here
Let's pretend it's still Monday!
Chapters over the next 12 days will be a little bit shorter, since I'm posting every day.
Evie let out a long breath. "Who killed Sunset?"
"The same person who kidnapped Pinkie," A said, without looking up. "Is she really dead yet? Our dear friend H said she still alive. For now."
"Do you know why she's doing this?"
A finally looked at her. "I honestly don't. I only know why I'm doing this. We all have a different reason to hate them. But I wasn't planning to kill anyone."
Evie inhaled. "Do you know who H is?"
"No. She's never told us, or shown us her face. All I know is what H stands for." she leaned over to Evie. "It means..."
-
Henna sighed. "I wish I could do something. If we were in Equestria, this would be so easy. But my magic's not as powerful here. I'm not strong enough to do this."
River looked at her. "And I can't even control my healing magic. Last time, I almost killed someone."
A doctor walked in. "Hi, girls," she looked at Fluttershy. "Can you come with me? We hate to run some tests on you, to make sure the ba-"
Fluttershy leaped up. "I'm coming!" Her hand flew over her stomach. "Aw!"
He took her other hand. "It's going to be ok. Come on."
They walked back to another room. He pointed to the bed. "Lay down."
"Can you please not do this today?" she pleaded. "I'm really worried about my friend."
"And I'm worried about you. We need to do an ultrasound, to see how the baby is. So please, just lay on the bed."
Fluttershy sighed. "Fine. Could you help me up?"
He heaved her up onto the light blue hosiptal bed. "The nurse will be in here soon. How do you feel?"
"I'm tired, scared, and done."
"I'm here," the nurse said as she walked in. She hooked the wires on Fluttershy's stomach. "Lay all the way back."
Since she was too tired to fight, she did what she was told.
The machine started beeping.
"When's the baby due?" she gasped.
"You've been pregnate for the past eight months," the nurse told her. "Have you even told anyone? The baby should be here in the next month. You need to tell the father that he's about to become a father. At sixteen."
"I know. I just don't know how to tell him. He may freak, and be mad at me. We weren't meaning to have an affair. It just happened. Over the last year, we've been meeting without telling anyone. There's only one other person that knows, but I didn't tell her. She saw us together last week." she sighed. "What do you think I should do? I'm so confused with everything."
"You should tell your friends. They'll still love you. That's why you call them your friends." she took the wires off. "Go."
Fluttershy stood up.
"Wait." she smiled. "It's a girl."
"It is?"
She worked herself up, and walked back to the waiting room.
Pinkie looked up. "What was that? Is everything ok?"
Fluttershy nodded. "Yeah. It's great. But there's something you need to know. I'm having a baby."
The room went dead silent.
"You're pregnant?" Henna peeped.
"I am. It's a little girl. You're the first people I've told. I still have to tell her father."
Twi blinked. "Who is the father?"
Fluttershy bit her lip. "His name is Discord."
"You mean, Discord the science teacher?" Pinkie asked. "That's hot."
"Are you mad at me? For not telling you? I honestly wanted to, but with H, and everything else, I just wanted to protect my baby. And all of you. Please forgive me."
They all hugged her.
-
The heart moniter's beeping rang in the girl's ears.
"Hey, girls," the doctor said. He set a vase of flowers on the small table. "This just came in for her. The person asked me to drop it off for them. I'd better get back to work. Call if you need me."
Pinkie flipped the card open. She paled, and read the note out loud.
"Hey, liars. What color looks better for my dress? I just can't wait for her funeral. She'll see Rarity again. -H"
Fluttershy put on a small smile. "Guess what? We're all liars. Isn't that so funny?"
The other girls gave a dry laugh.
Two pictures slipped, and fell to the floor.
Both were of dresses. The first one was gray and blue. The other dress was black with a silver flower on one side.
Five different ring tones went off.
I have names for you. Liar one, and Liar two. But before it works, RIP, to three of you. -H
Fluttershy moved her hand over her round stomach. "D-do you think my baby will be safe?" she sighed. "I think we should stay away from each other until Sunset is better. Just to be safe. I don't want my baby getting hurt from all of this."
"I think she's right," Henna said. "When Sunset's ok, we can all be friends again. But for now, let's just stay away."
"See you later," Pinkie said as she picked up her bag. "We don't talk at all."
-
The next day was hard. It was like everywhere the girls went, they bumped into one of their friends.
Fluttershy was walking to Discord's house. She inhaled, and opened the door. "Hi, babe."
"How's my baby?" he asked.
"Your what?"
He looked at her. "How are you?"
She bit her lip. "Well, my friend's almost dead. And I have to tell you something."
"Ok."
She looked down. "I'm pregnant."
Discord put his hands on his leg. "Who's the father?"
"You."
He didn't move, or talk for a minute. Then he smiled. "That's amazing! I didn't think I would be a father for a long time."
Fluttershy nodded. "I should be due in the next month. It's a girl."
"When did you find out?"
"A few months ago, after the bridge."
Discord slammed his hand on the wheel. "Great!"
Fluttershy touched his arm. "It's ok." She ran her hand over the window. "I can't see anything. It's to fogged up."
"I know."
"Let's just pull off the highway, and break somewhere."
"The exit's are all closed. None of the cars are moving. We're stuck here."
She smiled. "Then let's just do something. I have an idea. I have a new movie to watch."
She turned on her tablet, and signed it.
They moved closed together, with the movie playing. Discord pulled Fluttershy to him.
Fluttershy shook her head. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"I'm just happy. We're going to be parents."
"But how can I tell people who the father is? You're a teacher. They could arrest you."
"Then I'll quit my job."
She blinked. "You would really do that for me."
He nodded. "For you and our baby, I would do it any day."
"I can't let you. Teaching is your life. It's what you love doing!" she said. "If you quit because of me, I would be mad at myself. You can't give up on your dream."
"There are other people who want to teach," he told her. He took her hands. "I love you. I'll call it quits."
Fluttershy pulled back. "No. I'm sorry. I'm not letting you do this. We're done. You're not the father. This baby has no father."
Discord reached his arm out. "What do you mean?"
She blinked away her tears, and moved her shoulder away. "You mean nothing to me."
"No, wait!"
"Shut up! Go play around with someone else."
"You can't speak to me like that!"
Fluttershy glared at him. "Yes I can. Goodbye, Discord!"
She ran from the house. Her tears and mascara mixed together, turning her face a smoky black. She looked back at the door.
-
Sunset groaned. She forced her eyes open. A gentle hand was rubbing the side of her head.
"Are you ok?"
"What-? Where am I?"
"Just calm down, darling."
She looked up.
Rarity smiled down at her. "Your head. Does it feel better now?"
"Mmhm."
"That's good. I miss you," she whispered. "I know what's going on. That's why I came. I wish I could help. You can bring me back."
"How did you die?"
Rarity shook her head. "I can't tell you that. You'll find out soon." she leaned down, and gently kissed Sunset's cheek. One day, I may see you again. I hope it's soon."
The wind picked up, and blew dust in Sunset's face. She screwed up her eyes, but Rarity was gone. Gone with the wind.
Sunset jerked up. A needle was ripped out of her arm, and pain shot through the side of her head. She bit down on her lip, to keep herself from screaming. Blood squirted from her arm, and splatered over the wall. She screeched.
A nurse burst through the door. She looked at her in fear.
The nurse wrapped her arm up. "It's ok," she whispered. Her blue hair was pinned up in the back. "What happened?"
"I saw her!"
"Who?"
Sunset looked at the door. "It's nothing."
She smiled. "Your arm's fine. How does your head feel?"
"It hurts."
"You cracked your skull. I thought you would die." her voice cracked. "This is my fault."
"Why? Who are you?"
She ran her hands down her coat. "It's Evie."
"You came."
Evie nodded. "H did this to you."
Sunset laid back down. "I know." Her head rolled to the side, and she fell asleep.
"Sleep well, my friend. I'll always be here for you."
Evie kissed her forehead. She slipped a note in Sunset's phone case, then left the room. She quietly closed the door.
The cabinet door creaked open. H picked up a needle, and stuck it in the side of Sunset's head. Blood slowly streamed out, and stained her pillow.
Then she walked over to the wall, and started writing in the blood.
