Sleeping With The Enemy
Henna was still holding Sunset's hand. Sunset pulled it away, and bit her lip.
I have a girlfriend.
"Come on," Henna said. "Let's get somewhere safe."
"How did you find me?" Sunset asked.
River flipped her braid on her back. "Equestrian beings. We could feel your magic. It led us to you."
Emerald touched her throat. 'Yeah. Only Equestrian beings know what I'm saying.'
"This. Is. Wierd." Sunset said.
Henna smiled. "How about this? They go to our safe place, and you walk with me."
Sunset nodded. "O-ok. Sure."
River and Emerald left them alone.
"So, did you want to tell me something?" Henna asked.
"What? I spaced out. Sorry."
"You're from Equestria. Why did you leave? Tell me everything. You could've been a princess. Didn't you want that?"
Sunset sighed. "Yeah, I did. I wanted that more than you could ever understand."
Henna smiled. "Tell me."
"I really don't like talking about it anymore."
"Take your jacket off," Henna said.
"What? Why?"
Henna shook her head. "Off. Now."
Sunset pulled her jacket off, and let it fall to the ground. She looked at the long scar down her arm.
"Is this why you wear that?"
She nodded. "Yeah. Sadly."
"How many of your friends have seen this?"
"Only you."
Henna pulled a small chain out of her pocket. She clasped her hand around it, and made a small pendant of an alicorn. She put it on Sunset's neck.
"You're future will be great. Keep this with you, and I'll be there when you need me. Never take it off. It will tell me when to come. But I have to know one thing, ok? Do you trust me?"
"You just saved my life. I trust you with all my heart."
The pendant glowed.
Henna started to fade. "My time is up for now," she whispered. "As will yours soon. Bye, dear friend. Remember the pendant."
"But what do you mean? My time's going to be out soon?"
"That's all I can say. I'll see you again one day."
-
Fluttershy knocked on Discord's office door. He looked up, and waved. She walked in.
"Hey, Discord."
"How are you?"
She smiled. "I'm great. Are you busy tonight?"
He sighed. "Yeah, kind of."
Fluttershy sat on his desk. "Oh, come on. Doing what?
"Just shut up, and kiss me."
Her phone beeped. She looked at the text.
Oh, cute. Shut up and kiss me, huh? Don't you think he should've said 'shut up and dance with me'? Come on, puppet. Dance for me. I'll record the whole thing and post it online for you. You just won't know where I am. -H
She put her phone down, and took Discord's hands. "Let's dance first."
"Um, ok?"
He slid his finger arcoss his phone screen, and played 'Shut Up and Dance'.
They swayed in place for a minute, then Discord dipped Fluttershy. He pulled her up, and kissed her.
She cupped his face in her hands, and smashed her lips on his.
-
A was still holding her freezing hands on Evie's cheeks.
"Ok, I've made this," T said. "It should stop the poison from flowing through her."
She handed A a cloth, dipped in water.
"Just put it up to her nose. When she breathes, it will suck up the scent."
"Thank you."
A laid the cloth under Evie's nose. "Come on, E. Get up."
Evie groaned. "Get... off... me."
"Look at me, Evie."
She forced her eyes open. "Hi, A. Thank you."
A hugged her. "You're ok," she whispsred.
Evie smiled. "And that's a good thing?"
"Yeah, it's amazing."
A leaned over, and kissed Evie's cheek. Evie pulled A's face to hers. "Kiss me."
Evie sat up, and they connected their lips in a kiss.
T smirked. "I knew it. I called it!"
"Yeah, you did," A said when she pulled back. "I do love her."
-
Sunset pulled her form out. "Ok, summer reading? What, am I in elementary school?"
She was walking to her english teachers class room. The teachers would still be in office for a week, before they left. Before she could get to the room, and heard Fluttershy. And Discord. She ran in Discord's class room.
They were kissing and dancing.
"What are you doing?" Sunset screamed. She didn't let them answer. "Breaking the law is what your doing!"
"I'll be back, Discord."
Fluttershy pulled Sunset into the hall. "What are you doing here?"
Sunset glared at her. "Why are you having an affare with a teacher? Why are you grinding on him, and kissing him?"
"I love him!"
"Well, you can't! It's illegal, and H will use it to break you."
Fluttershy rolled her eyes. "You can't keep me from seeing him. You don't own my life!"
"No, but I can still tell your aunt."
"Oh no. My aunt? Really? I'm so scared." she stepped closer to Sunset. "I will keep seeing him. You can't make me stop loving him."
Sunset sighed. "I-I know that. I just don't you getting hurt in the end."
Fluttershy stepped back. "Oh. You're just worried. I thought you were threatening me. I know you care about me. But I'm not stupid. Discord's not going to hurt me. Everything's going to be fine, Sunset."
"I trust you. Just be careful, ok?"
"I will. Thank you."
Sunset picked up her papers. "I have to go talk to Miss C. Wanna come?"
Fluttershy looked at the door. "Yeah. I'll come."
They walked down the hall.
"You know I'm worried," Sunset said. "If someone finds out-"
"I'll take that risk," Fluttershy cut in. "I love him. If someone finds out, I'll deal with them. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine, ok?"
She nodded. "I know. I'm sorry."
Fluttershy took her hand. "Now, come on. I want to get back to my lover."
"You go. I'll be fine."
"Are you sure?"
Sunset smiled. "Yeah. I'm sure."
Fluttershy lightly kissed her cheek. "Thank you."
"Wait. Why did you kiss me?"
"We're friends. It was just a peck. I'm not in love with you."
Sunset waved. "I should go. Bye, Fluttershy."
"See you later."
After she was gone, Sunset leaned against a locker. "This won't end well."
The lights went off. "You've got that right," someone said.
She gasped. "Nonono. Not again!"
-
Sour Sweet slammed her arm against the metal door. She grunted in pain.
"Will you stop?" Indigo asked. "You'll kill yourself if you keep doing that."
"I'm bored," Lemon Zest whined.
Sugarcoat looked up from her phone. She smirked. "Great, girls. Scream so that freak will come in here, and kill us."
"Don't be so blunt," Sunny Flare said.
"That stupid idiot is going to kill us! I'll be 'blunt' if I want to."
Indigo rubbed her head. "STOP!"
Lemon Zest looked at her phone screen. "I have service. I'm calling Sunset."
-
Sunset was pushed down. Her head hit the ground.
H pulled her back up, and threw her at the wall. She held a knife to Sunset's neck. "Don't move."
"I won't," she whispered. Her eyes showed her terror.
"I didn't want an answer," H hissed. She put a cut in Sunset's cheek. "The next cut could be on your neck, bitch, now shut up!"
Sunset didn't say anything.
H smirked. She pet the side of Sunset's head. "Good girl. You did as I said."
"I did," she said. "But not anymore!"
She kicked H in the side. H stumbled, but stayed on her feet. She ran at Sunset, with a knife in her hand. Before the knife could hit her, Sunset moved out of the way.
"Henna?" she gasped. "Henna? I need you. Please come."
"Sunset," Henna whispered. "I'm right behind you. Just turn. H won't hurt you."
"Thank you," Sunset sighed in relief. She turned.
River kicked at knife away from H. Emerald pulled H back, and stabbed her back with her knee.
"I'll be back," Henna growled.
She jumped on H. "NO ONE messes with Sunset, one of our sisters, and gets away with it! Back off now, or you'll be living in prison forever."
Sunset glared at H. "She should be in jail. She killed Rarity."
But H was gone.
"Where did she go?" Henna asked. "I was just sitting on her."
"She's gone," River said.
Emerald looked at them, and mouthed, 'for now'.
Henna smiled. "You remembered to call us. We came, as I promised. You're safe for now. Call us next time you need us."
"I'll probably need you in, like, ten minutes."
"Then we'll be here. Bye, Sunset."
Sunset gasped. "Henna, wait!"
Henna looked at her. "What is it?"
"Stay with me."
"Why do you want me to stay? You have something you have to do."
"I do?"
Henna rolled her eyes. "The papers, stupid."
Sunset smiled. "Oh, right."
River clapped. "Henna, come on!"
'Let's go', Emerald gave her a look.
"You know what? No. I'm going to stay with her for a while. I'll meet you back at the place soon." Henna told them.
"Ok. We'll go meet the others," River said.
She nodded. "Don't tell them where I am."
River and Emerald faded away.
"Walk with me," Sunset said.
Henna and Sunset walked in the bathroom.
"Why are we in here?"
"Just look at this. It's pretty cool."
"Ok, show me."
Sunset pressed her hand on the wall. A small door opened, and her book was pushed out. "Follow me," she whispered.
Henna blinked. "In there? Um, how?"
"You're Equestrian. I filled it with magic when I had Twilight's crown."
"Oh, right. When you stole it from Equestria. Just like some other girls I may know. Well, I mean some-"
Sunset cut her off. "Sirens? Yeah. I know they're here."
She crawled into the opening. "Are you coming?"
Henna followed her. "Do I have a choice?"
They crawled through the damp tunnel. Spiders and their webs clung to the sides.
"I have dirt all over my jeans," Henna whispered.
"We're almost there. Just keep moving, unless you want the spiders on your jeans."
Henna shrieked. "Sunset!"
She laughed. "It's ok."
The walled curved out, and opened into a large room.
"Where are we?"
"It's like the caves beneath Canterlot. I'm not sure what it's for. I just know it's some room under Canterlot High. I found it after my defeat."
Henna nodded. "That's cool. It's beautiful down here."
"I know."
"Thanks. For bringing me down here. I love it."
Sunset couldn't take her eyes away from Henna. Henna was having the same problem. They were drawn into each other's eyes.
I have a girlfriend. I have a girlfriend.
But she cleared her head. She leaned closer to Henna. They didn't even blink.
Henna edged in, and rested her forehead on Sunset's.
They tilted their faces up, and let their lips touch. Then they were kissing.
-
H turned the video off. She made a gagging sound. "That's disgusting."
Evie looked at A. "Why is it disgusting?"
"She has a girlfriend," T said.
"Don't try to make her understand. It will make me want to kill her even more," H said.
She left the room.
T set a cake on the table. "I baked poison into it. She'll be dead in five seconds, after she takes a bite."
"Ok, good."
H closed the door quietly. "Think you can kill me?" she smirked. "Hey, Evie!" she called. "I have something for you to do."
-
Pinkie smiled. "Should we really do this?"
"They think she's dead. What's the problem?"
"Oh, come on, Evie. If they find out I know you, they'll be so mad."
Evie brushed the hair out of Pinkie's face. "It's all going to be ok. You know that I'm not the one trying to hurt you. I'm trying to stop H. I just can't stand living with her. It's terrible."
Pinkie leaned against her. "How did you get away?"
"That's the thing. I really with you hadn't come. I'm so sorry. Just, forgive me one day. If we're both still here."
Evie pulled her blue wig off. Pinkie gasped. "No. Y-you can't be Evie. We buried you."
H tied a bag over Pinkie's face. "Nice, Evie. You got her."
"You can call me Ev," Evie hissed. "And I will always regret what I just did. I loved her. As a girlfriend."
"Love is dangerous. Don't even try it, Evie. I did, and look what happened."
"This was all your choice, H. Don't blame the others."
"I won't find peace until they're all dead."
Evie glared at her. "You already killed Rarity." her voice cracked. "What more could you want?"
"To kill them all."
"But why?"
H smiled. "You ask to many questions. You'll find out soon."
Evie didn't move. "Let her go."
"I can't. You showed her who you really are. She knows too much."
"No, she doesn't. Ask T to make something that will make her forget everything she saw. Please."
H sighed. "Be happy I'm not a total freak."
"Thank you."
"Come on. I have some Shadowbolts to take care of."
-
Sunset was still holding Henna.
Her phone rang.
"Just a sec."
The called name said 'Marble Pie'. Pinkie's sister?
Marble's voice sounded scared. "Sunset? I know you're Pinkie's friend. She said she was going to Rarity's grave, and she's not home yet. Did she ever call you?"
"Calm down," Sunset said. "I can't understand what you're saying."
"I think Pinkie was kidnapped."
Sunset gasped. "Yeah. Kidnapped. I'll call the girls. You stay at your house."
Henna stared at her. "What?" she asked as Sunset ended the call.
"Pinkie Pie's gone."
"I can't track her. She's a human."
Sunset grabbed her hand. "Come on. Can you get us out of here?"
She nodded. "Hold my arm. I think when I fade away, you'll fade with me."
"What do you mean, fade away?"
Henna smirked. "You'll see. But if really feels great. It won't hurt you, I promise. Just don't let go of my arm."
They started fading.
Sunset gasped. She leaned against Henna, and closed her eyes.
"I didn't know you were gay," Henna told her.
"Yeah, I guess I am. Is that a bad thing?"
"No. It's fine. I just didn't think you would kiss me. You don't even know me."
"But I do know you."
Henna blinked. "How?"
Sunset put her hand on Henna's waist. "I just do. Are you gay?"
"I've had one girlfriend."
"Who was it?"
Henna sighed. She looked away. "Sonata Dusk."
"The siren?"
She nodded. "That's why I told River not to tell them where I went. Sonata still loves me, but I don't love her the same way. But that was before you defeated them. I haven't dated anyone since then."
"Would you... want to-?"
"Go out with you?"
Sunset pressed her lips together, and forced a smile.
Henna kissed her cheek. "Sure."
They started to get their color back.
"We're not faded anymore," Henna said. "Come on. Let's find Pinkie Pie."
Sunset heard her phone ring. She sighed, and looked at the text.
Want your friend back? Let's see. I've got Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash. Who do you choose? Poor you. Rarity's dead. It's just you and Fluttershy. But not for long. -H
"Henna. I-I think I know where they are."
Her phone went off again. It was Principal Sylvie.
"Sunset Shimmer?"
"It's me. Are you ok?"
Her voice sounded muffled. "Yeah, I'm on my way to Canterlot High."
Sunset's mind want blank. "Why?"
"For Rainbow's trial next week."
"Oh, right. Yeah. I'll be helping you."
"I'll see you soon. Bye, Sunset."
Henna smiled. "Who's Rainbow?"
Sunset slipped her phone in her pocket. "She's just a friend-"
After she said it, a bullet shot past, and slitted her leg.
"Sunset!" Henna gasped.
Sunset let out a small screech, and fell on the ground. Henna ripped her scarf off, and wrapped it around Sunset's leg. "Do you want me to take you to the hospital?"
"No," she whispered. "I've been in the hospital too many times in the past few months."
She reached in her purse. "Oh great! I'm out of gum. Wanna come with me to the drug store first? You can get a drink or something."
Henna pulled her up. "Yeah, I need food."
They walked to a small drug store down the street.
"I'm going to get something. Is our leg ok?"
Sunset nodded. "Yeah." Go get whatever you want."
She picked up a pack of mint gum as Henna walked to the back of the store. She looked at the wall.
Written in orange paint was:
I thought friends were the most important thing to you. -H
"Henna. Where are you?"
She ran back to where Henna went. There was no one in the store, other than her and the owner. "Henna?"
She heard a crash, and then a scream.
The owner gasped.
"Henna!" she shrieked.
