Road Trip!

Rainbow put her last bag on the shuttle bus. The other girls were already in their seats, and she sat down next to Aria and Sonata; of course the tension was suffocating. Fluttershy sat in the back with River. Then Sugarcoat, Indigo, and Sunny were in the front. Adagio was sitting the passenger seat.

The driver started the bus, and drove down the road.

Adagio plugged in her ear buds and turned on her music. She started singing quietly.

"If I ruled the world, I'd throw all my money in the air like confetti! If I ruled the world, every house got a DJ and a backyard party!"

Fluttershy, Josi, and Aria joined her in singing.

"And I'd break all the borders down, when I shake the ground! If I ruled the world, of dream out loud!

So everybody get up, up, out of your seats! Kick off your shoes like you're down at the beach! Jump up, up, up on the beat, singing 'ay oh'! Up, up, out of your seats! Be who you are, love is all you need!"

By now, they were all singing together; their voices blended perfectly.

"All of geeks, freaks, and wannabes, singing 'ay oh'! If I ruled the world, I would give it, give it all to you! I would give it, give it all to you!"

All the tension was gone. The driver looked at them. "You sing good. Ruby will like this." He looked back at the road. "You will like this camp. If you don't...well, you kind of have to. She has ways of making you stay." The girls didn't hear him; they were all talking. He sighed.

Rainbow leaned her head on Aria's chest. "How long is the ride?"

Sonata pushed Rainbow off her sister. "It's three hours. Stay off her."

Aria bit her lip. She leaned over to Sonata. "You should just tell her. I know it won't change what she did, but then she'll know why you're so mad."

"I'm not mad!" she hissed. Sonata grabbed a book and slammed in on her legs. She opened it to a random page and stared at it.

River tapped Sonata's head. "Are you reading Allegiant?" Sonata nodded. "Okay. Spoiler alert, Tris dies at the end!"

Sonata turned. "Bruh!"

Fluttershy nodded. "Then she didn't die in the movie! I hate that! It changes everything!"

"Please stop talking about the book. And the movie. I hate both of them," Rainbow said.

Adagio turns on another song, but didn't put in her ear buds.

Sugarcoat gasped. "No."

Indigo leaned close to Sugarcoat and started singing.

"Youre insecure. Don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or."

Sunny joined in with Indigo.

"Don't need make up, to cover up, being the way that you are is eno-o-ough. Everyone else in the room fan see it! Everyone else but you!"

Everyone started singing and moving close to Sugarcoat, and Sugarcoat put her face in a pillow.

"Baby you light up the world like nobody else! They way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed! The way you smile at the ground, it ain't hard to tell, you don't know oh-oh! You don't know you're beautiful! If only you saw what I can see! You'd understand why I want you so desperately! Right now I'm looking at uou and I can't believe, you don't know, oh-oh! You don't know you're beautiful, oh-oh! That's what makes you beautiful!"

Sugarcoat pulled Josi over the seat. She held Josi on her legs. Humor shined in her eyes.

"So c-come on! You've got it wrong! To prove I'm right I put it in a so-o-ong. I don't know why, you're being shy. And turn away when I look into your ey-ey-eyes."

Then Sugarcoat moved really fast and grabbed Adagio's phone, then turned off the song. Adagio took her phone back.

The driver looked at them. "We're about to pick up the other four girls. And your phones won't work soon because we'll be in the mountains. You should put them away now. Ruby won't want to see them."

They all shoved their phones away.

After a few minutes, the shuttle bus stopped. The door opened, and five girls walked in.

The driver jumped up. He pointed at the girl with red hair. "You aren't supposed to be here! Get off! Now!"

The girl smiled. "I signed up an hour ago. Ruby knows I'm coming."

The girls sat down, and didn't talk.

Rainbow smiled. "Hi."

One of the girls glared at her. "Who are you?"

"I'm Rainbow Dash."

"Oh..." The girl with red hair pressed her lips together. "I'm Sunrise. My friends are Moon Shadow, Garnet Mist, and Sage Flower."

Rainbow pointed at all of her friends and said their name. "I hope we can be friends."

Garnet smirked. "I'm sure that would be amazing! Right girls?" Sage was playing with a stuffed animal, Shadow was glaring at nothing, and Sunrise was watching Rainbow. Garnet sighed. "Okaaay then."

Sugarcoat tapped Josi. "You can get off of me."

"No," Josi said.

Sunny pulled Indigo close to her. "I know we kissed, but we can't do it again."

Indigo sighed. "Why not?"

"Because you dated Sugarcoat, and she's our friend. I can't date my friends old girlfriend."

"Is this because you miss Rarity?"

Sunny shook her head. "I do still miss her, but I want to move on. And I do have other reasons." Indigo nodded. Sunny looked away. "I want to date guys again. Rarity was my only girlfriend, and I don't want another one. When I date again, it's going to be a guy."

"I want you to be happy."

The ride went on for two more hours before they got to the camp. The girls walked in, and found the office. A lady with pink and red hair, a black dress and black heels smiled. "Hello, girls! I'm Ruby," she said. "This is mine. I run it and I own it. You'll love it here." She gave them each a room key. "It has the number of your room. Have fun!"

They left for their rooms.

Rainbow dropped her suitcase on her bed and looked around. There was a bed against a wall with a window over it, a bathroom and a kitchen area.

She put her clothes in the dresser then made some coffee. She walked over and opened the closet.

A big stuffed deer head as hanging on the wall.

Rainbow slammed the door and turned. She looked at the door again. Okaaaaaay?

She poured the coffee in a mug, then put in creamer and sugar.

The was a knock on her door.

Sunlight walked in. She was holding a book. "Hi, Rainbow Dash." She closed the curtains and locked the door. "I'm sorry I was watching you. But when you said your name...I wanted to cry." She bit her lip. "You were in love with Sunset Shimmer?"

Rainbow blinked. "Yeah, I was. But only for a few months."

She nodded. "Right, she told me. She said she liked you."

"Who are you?"

"I'm Sunset's mother."

Rainbow moved away. "I thought you were dead!"

Sunlight smiled. "No, the HUMAN me is dead. We switched places when Sunset was two. Then I wanted to visit her, but my counterpart wouldn't let me."

"Why would you come to me?"

"I know that she's dead. I just wanted to meet her old friends."

Sunlight left, and Aria came in.

The siren smiled. She sat down by Rainbow. "Hey!"

Rainbow nodded. "Hi."

Aria looked at the door. "The rooms here are so nice. I think we'll have fun this summer."

"Yeah."

Rainbow passed Aria a cup of coffee. She put her hair up in a ponytail. "How do they have water and power, but no internet?"

"I don't know." Aria took the coffee. She started drinking, but then she coughed and it spilled on her and the floor. "Great." She leaned over and grabbed a towel. "I'm sorry."

Rainbow put the towel on Aria's legs. "It's okay." She smiled. "I remember the day I told you everything. You really helped me."

Aria smiled. "I knew you would need it."

"I did."

Rainbow let go of the towel, and put her arms around Aria's neck. They stared at each other. Aria leaned a little closer. Their lips brushed against the others, then they let themselves kiss.

Sonata was walking to Rainbow's room with a pillow. She stopped when she saw her sister and Rainbow kissing, then walked back to her room.

Aria pushed Rainbow off. "We...can't do this." She stood up. "I have to get back to my room."

Rainbow sighed.

Aria went to Sonata's room in the morning.

Sonata smiled. "I made some tea. Ruby said that someone will bring up food later." She poured two cups of tea.

"Thanks."

"So what did you do last night?"

Aria bit her lip. "Well, I went to talk to Rainbow. We talked for a while, then I left. Then I went to sleep."

"Cool."

Sonata poured her tea out. "You know, I'm not hungry. You should go eat with one of our friends. I'm just going to take a shower." After Aria left, she went in her bathroom and took off her clothes, then she stepped in the shower.

But she didn't start the water. She leaned on the wall and closed her eyes. She put a small box on the floor, and turned on the water.

Ruby smiled. "Okay, girls! Today you will just be looking around the mountains. You can ride the horses, if you want to. Stay in a group with three people. We'll start with everything tomorrow. Have fun!"

Garnet smiled. "Come on, Fluttershy! Let's go for a ride! Sonata, you can come, too."

Fluttershy, Sonata, and Garnet went to get out the horses. After they tacked up their horse, they started their ride up the mountain.

"Where are we going?" Sonata asked.

"I don't know," Garnet said. "Oh, watch it. This path is skinny and steep."

They went together, and stayed in a 'single-file' line. Fluttershy was in the front. She stopped.

Garnet sighed. "What?"

They heard a harsh growling.

Sonata tensed. "What is it?"

"Wolves," Fluttershy whispered. "Four of them."

Garnet bit her lip. Her horse was moving uncomfortably. They were both nervous, and the horse was moving fast. Garnet couldn't get her under control. The horse bolted. It ran past Fluttershy and the wolves, then down the trail.

The wolves left, and Fluttershy and Sonata went after Garnet.

They found her quickly.

Garnet's horse was on a ledge.

"Oh my gosh!" Fluttershy gasped.

The horse reared and Garnet fell off. She hit the ground and fell off the ledge.

Sunlight smiled. "Thank you for letting me come. I know I was late."

Ruby nodded. "You really wanted to come. Anyway, I needed more people here." She played with a small dead bird. "If I ever ask you to come have tea with me, will you say yes?"

"Um...." Sunlight tipped her head. "Sure."

"That's good. I never feel happy alone anymore." She pet the bird. "So I have my pets. And I have friends. I see them everyday. You may get to meet them while you're here. You would love them!"

Sunlight nodded quickly. "I know. I love everyone I meet."

"A-are you sure? Because I know your secret."

Ruby smirked. "Bye."

Sunlight went back to her room. She closed the door and leaned on it for a minute, before she picked up a class and threw it at the wall.
