One Liar, Two Liars

Sunset heard a crash, and then a scream.

The drug store owner gasped.

"Henna!" Sunset shrieked.

She ran in the back room, and kicked the door down. Henna was laying on the floor, with a knife in her side.

"Don't pull it out," the man said.

"Can you help her?"

He nodded. "Yeah."

Sunset stepped away. He ran his hand around the knife. He gently pulled it out.

Henna took a breath. Her body heaved. "Sunset?" she whispered.

"Oh, Henna. I was so scared."

"I'll be fine." she looked at the man. "Thank you. Could you give us a minute."

He nodded, and left the room.

Sunset took Henna's hand. "You'll be fine."

She pulled her shirt up, and looked at her side. "Does it look bad?"

"No, it looks fine. It's just bleeding," she whispered.

"Don't stare at me like that," Henna said. She pressed her hand on her side. "There, it's healed. Now let's go. That man gives me the creeps, and we have to find your friend."

Sunset pulled her up. "Ok. What do we tell him?"

Henna smirked. "I'll take care of him."

They walked out of the shop. Henna waved her hand past the clerks face. His head fell. Sunset and Henna started running. Rain started to fall as they got closer to Pinkie's house.

Sunset grabbed the spare key from the fountain in their rock garden. She slowly opened the door. Pinkie was sitting in their living room. Fluttershy stood close to her. Marble looked down.

Pinkie was staring into her cup. She breathed in the steam, and coughed.

Fluttershy took the cup, and put it on the table.

Marble glared at Sunset. "Who's H, and why did she kidnap my sister?"

"I don't know," she whispered. "Did Pinkie tell you?"

"No," she said. "H did. Look at all the messages that freak sent me."

Sunset scrolled through all of her texts.

Want your baby sister back? Don't worry. I won't kill her. I had that fun with Rarity. -H

You're running out of time. -H

I think you want me to kill her. Looks like I'll have to cover up again. -H

"I can't read anymore."

Pinkie looked up. "Keep reading."

Who should I blame for this? I know. Sunset. She's the reason I'm doing this. -H

Come on, Marble. Pinkie's crying for you. Come get her. -H

"I want you out of my house!" Marble screamed. "And never talk to Pinkie again! Leave."

Sunset looked at Pinkie. "Fine."

"No, wait!" Pinkie gasped. "I need to tell them both something first. Can you give us a minute?"

Marble walked out of the room.

Pinkie pulled a paper out of her pocket. "She's not dead."

"Who's not dead?" Fluttershy asked.

"Rarity's still alive."

Sunset stared at Fluttershy. She blinked, and bit her lip. "Did you see her?"

Pinkie nodded. "But I'm not sure where she is now."

Want some help with the truth? Here. -H

Sunset pressed the link.

Rarity grinded against Rainbow's chest. "I love you."

Rainbow pushed her away. "You know I love someone else. I told you who it is. Anyway, you're with someone."

"But I'm sure you can kiss me once."

She's my friend. I can't do that to her. Go kiss someone who loves you."

Rarity slapped Rainbow across the face. "Who do you think you're talking to?"

She pulled Rainbow's jacket off, and ran her hands down her arms.

Rainbow stared at her. "Get away from me!"

"Why, babe? Don't you want to kiss me?"

"Back off!"

The video ended.

Pinkie stared at the screen. "Rarity loved Rainbow. I thought she loved-"

Fluttershy narrowed her eyes. "What is it?"

"Rarity and I were dating!" Pinkie screamed.

"What?"

Sunset picked up her phone. "I'm sorry. I have to go!"

She ran out of the house. Henna was still waiting for her. "Are you ok?"

"No. Come on."

They went to Sunset's apartment.

Sunset looked at her. "Stay here tonight. Please, I don't want to be alone."

Henna nodded. "I'll stay. Of course I'll stay with you. Just let me go get my stuff. I'll be back soon."

"Ok."

The apartment room was dark. Sunset remembered the day a few months back when she had come home, and blood was everywhere. When H had first started attacking them. When Rarity and Rainbow were still with them. The memories hurt.

"Thanks for the memories, even though they weren't so great." she whispered.

She set her bracelet on her desk, and walked in the bathroom. The sink was still running.

"When did I-?" She stared at the water. "Red? What?"

Blood was flowing out of her sink. She ran to turn it off, and slipped. She slid across the floor, until her arm hit the table leg. A piece of wood was wedged into her arm. She grabbed the table leg with her hand, and squeezed it. Blood pumped out of her shoulder, and her chest heaved.

"Henna," she gasped. Pain shot through her chest. "Please."

A hand touched her shoulder. "It's ok. I'm here."

Sunset looked at her. "Henna?"

"No. It's not Henna. But stay calm. I'll help you."

"Tell me," she panted. "Who you are."

"Please stop talking. Just breathe. I'll tell you who I am, if you do what I tell you."

Sunset breathed in.

The girl smiled. She stroked Sunset's hair. "It's me. Evie. Do you remember me?"

"I-I think I do."

Evie nodded. "That's all I need to hear. No talking. Henna's almost here. I'm going to go now, before she gets back. I love you, Sunset. I'll come back to you soon." She stood up, and walked to the door. She sighed. "I hope."

Right after she left, Henna appeared. She saw Sunset. "Are you ok?"

"There's something in my shoulder, and breathing hurts."

"I've got it," she whispered. "I was thinking. You should tell the police about H. They could find her."

Sunset sighed. "What would I say? "Hey, cop. There's some stalker called H trying to kill us. She murdered Rarity, and kidnapped Pinkie Pie." Henna, they would think we're crazy. Sylvie is coming, and I'm sure she'll think of something."

-

"I can't think of anything!" Sylvie said. "They have evidence. We don't."

"They do have evidence, but what if it's fake?" Sunset asked.

The principal looked at her. "Can you prove it's fake? Bad question. We can't prove anything."

Sunset stood up. "I'm going to visit her. I'll call you when I'm done, and tell you what she said. Just give me some time."

"I want to. But time is one of the things we don't have. Get her alibi."

-

Rainbow smiled. "Hey, Sunset."

"Hi. I need your aliby. Like, now!"

"My alibi?" she was suddenly on the defensive. "Why would you need that?"

"Do you want to stay in jail, or not?"

"I'm sorry, but I really can't give you my alibi."

Sunset closed her book. "Rainbow Dash. You sound like someone who wants to stay in jail."

"I don't," she breathed. "But I will, to protect you and my friends."

"But that's the thing. Even if you're in jail, we're not safe, and you're not safe. As long as H is alive, we have to keep looking over our shoulder to see if there's a freaky bitch behind us, holding a sign that says 'hey, bitches. Enjoy death'. You know what I want? I want to have a chance to just live our perfect lives again. No H, no Evie. You wouldn't be here. And Rarity...she would still be with us."

Rainbow sighed. She looked close to tears. "There's something you need to know." she ran her free hand through her hair. "Rarity tried to have an affair with me. We were at your apartment. She said she needed help with something, but didn't tell me what. So I went. I thought you would be at home, but it was just her." her breath hitched. "She pushed me in your closet. When I heard the door slam, I froze. Then she was all over me. But before she could get my shirt off, there was a gunshot. Rarity's eyes dulled, and her body slid down mine. Her blood was smeared all over my body. In the shadows, I saw someone slipping away. When the police finally came, they told me someone said thay saw me shooting Rarity. I was arrested."

Sunset's shoulders fell. She sighed. "Are you sure that was Rarity?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean I don't think that was Rarity who fell on you. Pinkie said Rarity's still alive. What if H set you up?"

The clock went off.

Sunset glared at the officer. "I'm one of her lawyers. I need another minute."

"I'm not supposed to allow that," he said.

"Did you hear me? I'm her lawyer. I have a question for her. So if you could step out of that room for 60 seconds, I would be very happy!" she pointed to the door, and smiled.

He turned on his phone timer. "You have one minute."

Sunset looked at Rainbow. "I think I have an idea who H is. But I'll need to get proof. There are two weeks before the trial. All I need," she exhaled. "Is time. Something we really need, but don't have. Don't worry. We'll get out of this. I know it."

"Time's up!" the officer said. "You need to go."

"You've got it. But I'll be back."

She walked out to the parking lot. Fluttershy was waiting for her. "Come on!" she called.

Sunset started running. "I'm coming!"

Fluttershy's smile melted. "Sunset!" she screamed. "Sunset, watch out!"

Car breaks screeched, but didn't stop. It rammed into Sunset, and she was thrown back. Her eyes glassed over.

-

Beep...beep...beep. The heart monitor's ring filled their ears.

"If I have to hear another beep, I'll kill myself," Pinkie swore.

"Don't even start," Fluttershy whispered.

A nurse finally came out of Sunset's ER room. "Hi, girls. I'm Elana. You're friends of Sunset Shimmer."

Fluttershy nodded. "Is she ok?"

Elana sighed. "She cracked her skull, and tore up the left part of her brain. That ripped some of the veins, and caused bleeding through her head. Right now, we have her in a controlled coma to keep her relaxed. But even if her head does heal, she'll never be the same again."

"What do you mean?" Pinkie asked.

"Well, her brain controls what her body does. If that whole left part if gone, she would be able to work half her body."

Henna looked up. "And if it doesn't heal?"

Elana didn't say anything.

Silence. No one moved, talked, or even cried. Then Henna slowly fell. She moved her hands over her face, and gasped.

All of their phones went off.

One liar, two liars, dead liar, I hate liars. I think I'll eat green eggs and dead l for breakfast tomorrow. -H

Pinkie bit her lip. "I wonder who she's choosing for her plate."

-

H pulled out a pen, and paper. She started writing.

Rarity- dead... probably

Rainbow- in jail

Pinkie- kidnapped, then sent back home

Applejack- missing...right?

Sunset- near death

Fluttershy- well, she's fine...for now.

As for Evie? I can't wait to kill her.

-H
