Back to Normal

Ten Months Later...

"Can you please just stop talking about it?" Indigo demanded.

Sunny shoved her. "I'm telling you, I saw her. It was her hair, her walk, it was....her! She's not dead, alright? We have to find her!"

Aria sighed. "If she is alive and she wanted to come home, she would call us. We can't just make her come back. It's her choice."

"We're finally done with Discord and Applejack," Fluttershy muttered. "But my parents still want me to get a new phone, phone number, computer, and email. And they keep asking me why I slept with my teacher." She shook her head. "So how's Rainbow?"

Adagio gave Fluttershy her phone. "I've called her ten times today, but she won't pick up. She probably thinks I'm stalking her." The other girls stopped. Adagio flinched. "Okay, I didn't mean it lime that. I just meant she thinks I'm being to protective. And I-I know I am, but the girl just had a baby! And she's only seventeen!"

Sonata looked away. "I'm helping her. She's just tied right now, but we're still together."

Sugarcoat smiled. "We're all going to be fine. Now we can use our phones without being scared. H and A are both dead. We should be happy. We're still alive after all that happened to us."

"Not all of us made it," River snapped. She sighed. "I-I'm sorry." Tears blurred her vision, and she felt Sonata take her hand. "Do you remember when Sunset Shimmer thought that Henna was helping H? Henna lied to us. She was still helping Applejack. We told her everything, and she was just using us."

"I don't think she was helping Applejack the whole time. I think it started when she got out of jail," Aria told her.

River shook her head. "Emerald killed her. We'll never know what happened."

Adagio bit her lip. "I thought only Equestrian magic could kill her."

"Right. And we're from Equestria."

Josi ran down the hall. She was holding a paper. A smile lit up her face. "We got in, we got in!"

Sunny grabbed Josi's arms. "Wait! Are you for real? We really got in? We really get to go this summer?"

"Yup. We leave in two weeks; right after school gets out."

They all squealed. Sonata smiled. "So how was your date with the Shadowbolt last night? I, uh...well, I don't remember his name."

Josi smiled again. "His name is Trenderhoof, and it was great. I really like him."

Blair touched her sisters shoulder. "Yeah, my sister loves a lot of guys. I can remember her first boyfriend. Ah, that was a long time ago, but he was so gay." She smirked. "But I would honestly ex-"

"Okay, thank you!" Josi quickly cut off her sister. "Let's go."

"Bye girls." Blair followed her sister to the bathroom. Her face looked bored.

Josi glared at her. "Why would you do that? I want them to like me! You're just making them think I'm a freak!"

Her sister rolled her eyes. "No, sweetie. You're making them think that." She knew her sister was getting uncomfortable. "But I mean, I'm sure I would think the same if I found out. You should tell them first, dear. Or I will."

"Oh, and tell them what?" Josi hissed. "I could take back so much and tell them it was all a lie!"

Blair leaned to her sisters ear. "You know, I really don't care. I just wonder what they would do when they find out how gay you really are."

Josi's eyes went wide.

"River?"

She turned. "How can I help you?"

Scootaloo smirked. "I know something that could really help you. If you want it, call me." She dropped a piece of paper. "And I'm only helping you because I was close with Henna."

River yanked Scootaloo back. She glared at the girl and slammed the door. "You better tell my what you want, or I swear to Celestia, I will shove you in a freaking jail cell. What did you know about my sister?" She held Scootaloo to the wall.

"Oh my gosh, I feel so threatened!" she mocked.

"Fine." She set the girl down. "I'm sorry. But please tell my why you know my sister."

The sophomore sighed. "She knew my friends sister. I met Henna one day, and we became friends. After a few weeks, she started asking me weird questions. They were about my friends Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. I told her to get away, and then Applejack died the next day."

River bit her lip. "Did you know Sunset?"

Scootaloo nodded. "I did." She turned and walked to the door. "I saw her the night she died."

"She was murdered."

"I know. And that night...she was acting weird. It was like she knew that she was going to die."

Sonata quickly ran down the hall; she went in a bathroom. Tears trailed down her cheeks. She ripped off some paper towels and pressed them on her face.

Aria frowned. "Sonata? What's wrong?" The blue haired siren turned and hugged her sister. They sank to the floor. "Is it Rainbow Dash?" Sonata cried harder. "What happened to her?" She moved her sister back. "Stop. You're going to hurt yourself."

"She's putting the baby up for adoption!" Sonata whispered. "And...she broke up with me." She stood up. Her face changed, and she glared at everything. "Don't you dare tell Adagio! I swear, if you do I will never look at you again!"

"It's okay, Sonata. I won't tell her."

Sonata nodded. "Thanks."

The sisters hugged again. Aria sighed. "I'm sorry," she whispered. Just not loud enough for Sonata to hear.

Indigo rolled her eyes. "This is crazy! We can't just sneak into a morgue and steal an autopsy report!"

Sunny sighed. "We won't steal it; we just need some time to look at it. I need to know what happened!" She ran her hand through her hair. "Please?"

Sugarcoat smirked. "I'll come with you!"

"Then I guess I don't have a choice," Indigo muttered. She took out her car keys. "Let's go now, before I start work."

Indigo led Sunny and Sugarcoat out to her car. The three girls piled in the Volkswagen Beetle and left the schools parking lot. A siren started flashing right after they got on the highway. Sunny leaned up to Indigo. "Get off here and take the city streets. Now! I don't want cops to know where we're going." Indigo glanced at her friends. "The cops aren't following us, Sunny. We're done with them." Sunny nodded.

They got to hospital, and snuck inside. The morgue was on the second floor.

Sunny pulled open the file drawer with the letter S. She found the file that said Shimmer, Sunset. Sugarcoat took the folder and flipped through it.

"How did she die?" Indigo asked.

"We know that much!" Sunny said.

Sugarcoat gasped. She waved her hand in front of her friends. "It says here that she was shot; she was killed instantly. When we found her, there was a slit on her throat."

Indigo looked out the door. "There are people coming! Just- just take pictures of all the pages, and then we need to go!"

The door opened. "I thought you girls knew that you couldn't be down here."

Huh, yeah I didn't know what I was doing with some of this chapter. Next one will be better!
