~ this is a flash back to when alex and her mother were sick in bed ~

Alex laid weakly in her mother's bony arms. Alex was still young, her body able to fight off sicknesses. Her mom was a different story though. She was frail, weak, and old. Gray had started to find its way into her hair and her eyes were tired. Her skin was plastered with smile marks but more noticeable frown wrinkles. They were both laying in their bed, sweating and pale from the sickness. Her mother weakly pushed a hand through Alex's hair " d-darling...?" She spoke up softly. Alex wheezed in pain before responding " ya..?"  Her mother cleared her throat. She knew she wouldn't make it but she had hope for Alex. " y-you know I l-love you so much r-right...?" Her voice gave out in the middle of the sentence, eyes welling up. Alex nodded weakly and smiled " yes momma and you know I love you so much more!" She said, already sounding like she was getting better. " you know, darling that every broken soul turns into a shining star..?" She said trying to communicate to her daughter that when she died- which would be soon- that she'd be a star " and those stars come out every night and watch over you...they are always there with you...lighting up the darkness for you and helping to guide you....." alex listened to what he mother had to say before nodded " y-yes.......what do you mean by that m-momma....?" She had sense the tone of her moms voice. She didn't sound good. Alex in pure worry started to let tears slip down her colorless cheeks, swallowing hard. " I'll always be with you..even when I'm long gone....." she was worried. Once she was gone the only person that could take care f her would be Alex's cousin who. She'd know had been unstable for awhile so it was like there was no one. "And when it's your time or when you d-decide it's your time...." Decide. " I'll be up there..waiting for you...among the millions of stars" she smiled weakly and kissed her daughters forehead, hug tears slipping down her cheeks, Alex's whimpers echoing Through the room " let's just sleep baby....when you wake you'll feel better....I love you" she knew once she fell asleep that's be the end for her and she'd turn into a star. Alex nodded softly and sobbed quietly " I-I-I l-love you t-too" she shut her eyes, eventually falling asleep to her mothers warm touch.  When she'd wake her mother would be a star among the hundreds of other ones.
