Chapter Thirty-Two
Liana's POV
Before the group enters the camp, I can hear the lost boys talking. "Can I at least use magic on these boys?" Rumple asked.
"No," said Neal.
"I'll do it," said Regina.
"You remember the spell?" Rumple asked, looking at Regina.
Regina looked back at Rumple annoyed. She then looks back to the lost boys and puts them to sleep with her magic.
We all enter the camp. "Where's Pan?" asked Neal.
No one was here.
"I don't know. Henry!" Emma yelled.
"He's gotta be here somewhere," said David. I nodded in agreement.
"Where?" Mary Margaret asked.
Then all of the sudden my eyebrows furrowed as I heard a young girl, "Help!"
Emma goes in running towards the voice, and the rest of us follow. There was a young girl in a cage. Could this be the girl Belle wanted us to rescue from Pan?
"You're... an... an adult?" she asked, looking at Emma.
"My name's Emma. I'm looking for my son."
"Wendy?" Neal questioned, looking at the girl.
"Do I know you?" the girl asked him.
"It's Baelfire," said Neal.
"You two know each other?" asked Emma.
Wendy then gasped. "Bae! Yeah. Yeah, we do. Can it really be you?"
I watched as Neal grabbed a nearby rock and broke the lock open. "I'd thought I'd never see you again."
Neal helped Wendy out of the cage and then hugged her. "What... what are you doing here?" He asked, separating from her.
"Well, I... I came back to save you," she said. Oh poor girl.
"You did that for me?" asked Neal.
My heart broke into a million pieces.
"Well, I couldn't bare for you to be without a family, not after you told us that your mother and father were both dead."
I then looked at Rumple who furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. He looked hurt. "You told her I was dead?" he questioned. I then placed my hand on his back and rubbed it slowly.
"It was easier than telling the truth... my own father abandoned me."

"Hey Wendy, since you've been here, have you seen my son?" Neal questioned. "His name's Henry."
"You have a son?" Wendy questioned. She looked surprised.
"Yeah. Pan needs his heart," said Neal.
"Has he said anything about the heart of the truest believer?" Emma questioned, eyeing Wendy.
Wendy shook her head. "No. I'm sorry. He never mentioned anything about a heart."
"She's lying," Rumple suddenly spat. I watched as Rumple started to approach the poor girl. "Where is he?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," said Charming. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I've carried enough lies in my life to recognize their burden. She knows where Henry is," said Rumple. I frowned at the girl.
"Is that true?" Neal asked.
"You don't understand," she replied.
"You're helping Pan?" Mary Margaret questioned.
"Guys," I started. "Slow down. Take a deep breath. Let's hear her out first."
The girl looked at me and smiled weakly before saying, "He's keeping John and Micheal alive, only if I do as he says."
"Trust me," said Rumple. "Whatever he's promised, he will go back on his word."
The girl looked at Rumple next. "And why should I trust a man who abandoned his own son?"
Regina suddenly spoke. "Because your brothers did. They trusted a woman named Belle. They helped her get this box so we can defeat Pan."
"They're okay?" she questioned, hope in her eyes.
"For now," I said. "And only if we beat his ass." The girl chuckled a bit at my comment. I smiled at her.
"Wendy... we will save John and Micheal, I swear to God. But right now, I really need your help. Please," said Neal.
Wendy sighed. "Pan told Henry that... he needs his heart to save magic. But it's a lie. He needs to save himself."
"What do you mean?" asked Hook.
"Pan's dying," she started.
"Well," I said. "That makes things easier."
"You didn't let me finish," said Wendy. "He needs the heart of the truest believer to absorb all the magic in Neverland. And once he does... he will be immortal, all powerful."
My stomach aches. "Then..." I said. "What would happen to Henry?"
"Well, it's a trade. When Pan lives, Henry will die."
My heart started to beat faster. "How do we stop Pan?" asked David.
"Pan took Henry to skull rock," she replied. "But you haven't got much time."
"Then we stay behind," David continued. I looked over at David, my eyebrows furrowed. "Someone needs to be here to guard the lost boys when they wake up."
"You don't need to stay behind," said Emma. Looking over at her, I could see the sadness written all over her face.
"David's right," said Mary Margaret. "You get him home, tell him we love him."
"Tell him yourself," said Emma.
"Hey, if it's of any value, I second that," I said. "When you two get back from Deadman's peak, Rumple can cure you back home in StoryBrooke."
Emma nodded in agreement. "Yes. Apparently, we will just need to bring some of Neverland's water with us."
Mary Margaret then hugged Emma and I smiled at them. I loved their mother-daughter relationship. I love it so much that I almost envy it.
I won't ever be able to have a better relationship with my mother because well.... She's gone and she's not coming back.
Rumple must have noticed me watching the two as he came over to me and grabbed a hold of my hand, and gently squeezed it. I turned to look at him and smiled.
"And you... you didn't give up," said Mary Margaret, looking at Rumple. "Thank you."
"Well, apparently, that's the only thanks I need these days," said Rumple.
"Tink and I will take care of things here. Meet you back at the Jolly Roger when you find Henry," said Hook.
Mary Margaret then whispered something to Emma that I couldn't hear. But then Emma said in response, "We're all going back home, together." David then kiss Emma's head, and I looked at Rumple again, rubbing his knuckles. She was right. We were all going to go back home. No matter what the consequences. Rumple will not die on my watch. Neither of them.

The five of us finally arrived at Skull Island. It was much bigger than I had imagined.
We got off the small boat and walked on the shore of the island. "Hey, aren't those Henry's?" I asked, pointing towards a pair of shoes.
"Yes," said Emma. "These are Henry's shoes. Wendy was right. They're here."
I watched as Emma was about to walk up to the door or entry way of the cave but was blown back, almost crashing into me.
Emma grunted. "You okay?" I asked, helping Emma up.
"I think so," said Emma. "What was that?"
"Pan cast a protection spell," said Rumple.
"Oh that makes so much more sense," I said. "Of course he would be smart enough to do something like that, to slow us down."
"Yeah... so, there has to be a way to break it," said Regina.
I then watched as Regina created a ball of fire within the palm of her hand and blasted it at the invisible wall. Unfortunately, it came back towards us like a boomerang.
"Whoa! Careful with that!" Neal exclaimed.
"Try all you want," said Rumple. "but Pan's magic is too powerful. At least for you."
As Rumple was about to walk through the invisible wall, I stopped him. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"Sweetheart," said Rumple, looking at me. "You have to trust me. Okay?"
"It's not you that I don't trust, it's Pan."
"I know," he sighed, placing his hand on my cheek.
Rumple then kissed my forehead, and then his hand strayed away from my face and he turned around. Everyone then watched as he walked through the invisible wall. "Wha..." said Regina.
"How did you do that?" asked Emma.
"The spell is designed to keep anyone who casts a shadow from entering," Rumple replied.
"And you don't have one," Neal said, making the connections. "You were telling the truth about ripping your shadow off."
"And Pan knows it," Rumple continued. "That's why he cast the spell he did. This isn't about keeping you out. It's about drawing me in. He knows I won't give up the chance to finish what I came here to do."
"You really did come here to save Henry," said Neal, his eyes widening.
"I gave you my trust with that box," he said, pointing at it. "Now I need you to give it back."
As Neal extended his arm to Rumple, Regina quickly took the box out of Neal's hand. "Hey!" said Neal.
Regina walked towards Rumple. "You better come through, Gold. Or I'll make whatever Pan has planned for you look like child's play. You understand me?"
I watched as Rumple took the box. Rumple smirked. "Well, a simple good luck would've sufficed."
Rumple and I locked eyes with each other, before Rumple turned back around and walked off.

"So, what are we supposed to do now?" Regina asked.
"What about the spell my father used to rip off his shadow?" Neal asked.
"You think if I knew how to do that, I would've done it already?" she questioned.
"Liana?" Neal asked, looking at me. "Any ideas?"
I shrugged in response.
"The moon," said Emma, looking up.
"The moon?" Regina asked.
"The moon is what causes our shadows, right? What if there was a way to block it out using magic?" Emma asked.
"That's... that's actually quite clever," I said. "So wouldn't that be like an eclipse?"
"Yeah... if it is like an eclipse would that even be possible?" Neal asked.
"Maybe," said Regina.
"So?" said Emma.
"I need help," said Regina.
"With magic?" asked Emma.
"It requires a lot," said Regina. "I guess we're about to find out how much those lessons I gave you paid off. Follow my lead."
Emma nodded her head and I watched as the two women started to create a lunar eclipse.
