Chapter Fifty Two

Athena:

I'm still on the road, walking more into town. It seems like an interesting more modern town.

I see two girls walking down the street holding hands. "Excuse me," I said approaching them.

"Hello, can we help you?" the one with the Australian accent asked.

"Yes. Um... where exactly am I?" I questioned, not knowing how to ask.

The Australian furrowed her eyebrows and the other one frowned. "You're in StoryBrooke, Maine," the Australian replied.

"I mean.... What world am I in?" I asked, trying to be more specific.

"Hold on, you're not from here, are you?" said the other girl with the furry coat.

I shook my head. "No," I then ran my fingers through my hair. "Um," I nervously chuckled. "I honestly don't remember how I got here. I just woke up in the Forest."

"Oh, that's odd," said the girl with the fur coat. "You really don't remember anything? Do you remember who you are?"

"Athena," I said. "I know my name is Athena."

"Well, hello, Athena," the Australian girl said, holding out her hand for me to shake. "My name is Belle." I took her hand and shook it.

"It's nice to meet you, Belle, I wish it was under better circumstances."

"Yes," said the other girl. "My name is Ruby."

"Nice to meet you too!" I said with a smile. "Now um... do you know of any places I could stay around here?"

"Well first I think we should take her to Mr. Gold," said Belle.

"Ah yes," said Ruby. "Didn't he make a memory potion?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. Memory potion? Are these people magical like me? Belle nodded. "Yes. I think it's best if you come with us, Athena. Mr. Gold and his wife, Liana, will be the best equipped to help you!"

"Liana?" I furrowed my eyebrows once more. Why did that name sound familiar?

"Is something wrong?" Belle asked.

"What is Liana's maiden name?" I questioned.

"Oh um... I believe it's Winters," Ruby replied.

My eyes widened. "Winters? Are you sure?" Ruby nodded her head.

"Liana Winters is my sister," I said.

"Your sister?" Belle questioned.

"Yes," I nodded my head.

"But she never mentioned having a sister," said Belle.

"Well, we didn't grow up together, you see," I said. "I live with my father, who is not Liana's father..."

"Oh, I see," said Ruby. "Step sister?"

"No, love," chuckled Belle. "Half sister. But come on, let's take you to Mr. Gold. He should be able to help with the memory problem. And I'm sure Liana will be thrilled to see you."

I nervously laughed. "Maybe? I only really knew her when she was just a little babe. I doubt she even knows who I am."

"Well, why don't we go and see? Yeah?" Belle asked.

I nodded. "Sure, lead the way."

~Liana~

"I'm so thrilled to be able to call you my Wife, Liana," Rumple said, as I sat upon the counter in his shop while he was dusting some of the items.

I grinned. "And I'm so thrilled to be able to call you my husband," I said. I couldn't stop grinning, and I let out a chuckle.

"And I'm so glad we can just be honest with each other now, I don't have to hide anything from you," Rumple said, approaching me.

I then furrowed my eyebrows, whilst looking past him to see Belle, Ruby and a strangely familiar woman.

"What is it?" he asked.

"We've got customers," I said.

He groaned. "Can't we just close shop for today?"

"No, Rumple," I said, giggling. He rolled his eyes at me as the people came in. "Hi Belle!" I said with excitement. Belle has been one of my closest friends.

"Hey Liana!" said Belle. "You are glowing!"

I smiled. "How can we help you guys today?" I asked.

"We need a memory potion," said Ruby.

I furrowed my eyebrows as did Rumple. "Because of me," the familiar woman appeared before me. She looked oddly similar to me. "Hi," she weakly smiled, running her fingers through her jet black hair. "I don't know... if you remember me, but my name is Athena. And I'm your older sister."

Athena....of course I remember Athena! My eyes widened, and I brought her into a hug.

She was surprised and she took me in. "I didn't know you had a sister, Liana," said Rumple.

I removed myself from Athena and look at Rumple. "That's because she didn't grow up with me," I said. "She is my half sister. We share a mother but we have different fathers. She was only really around when I was little, way before the Narnian war happened."

Athena nodded in agreement.

"Oh, I see," said Rumple. "And you need a memory potion because?"

"I can't remember how or why I got here," she replied. "I just... woke up in the middle of a forest."

"Alright, let me see what I can whip up for you," said Rumple.

"What's the cost?" Athena asked. "With Rumplestiltskin I know there's always a cost."

"Well, you're family now, Miss Athena," said Rumple. "So, it's on the house."

I smiled. I'm happy to see how much Rumple has grown.

"Wait what do you mean, family?" Athena furrowed her eyebrows.

I grabbed a hold of Rumple's hand. "We're married Athena. We've been together for quite a few years now."

"Really? Oh... I'm dumb." Athena face-palmed herself. "Belle and Ruby introduced you as Mrs. Gold first."

I smiled. I liked the sound of Mrs. Gold. "Everyone has those moments," I said.

Rumple then went into the back of the shop to get the memory potion for Athena. I was wondering how she got here and why.

"So, where have you been all of these years?" I asked.

"Narnia," she replied. "Living with my father. I've been working on a few art projects recently."

"That's cool," I replied. "I bet it's beautiful there now that the snow is all gone."

"It is," she replied. Rumple then brought out the memory potion.

"Here you are," he said, handing her the vile. "You should remember everything as you drink it."

Athena took the vile and drank the shimmering blue liquid. She closed her eyes for a minute—it looked like she was remembering, as concern grew upon her face. Her eyes opened. "I remember." A tear rolled down her cheek.

"What happened?" I asked.

"My father. We got into a huge fight over something so stupid. He was drunk. And... and he... he said that I reminded him too much of mother. And that I couldn't live with him anymore. So," Athena gulped. "So, um," she bit her lip. "He took the last magic bean that he had on him, and wished that I'd go to a land without magic, to make me suffer the most."

"I'm so sorry Athena," I said.

Athena nodded and wiped her tears away. "Me too."

"You are always welcome here," I said, trying to make her feel more at home. "Do you have a place to stay?"

"Granny's," Ruby said with a smile on her face. Athena turned to her. "My Granny's Inn, she'd be happy to have you stay."

"Oh! And do you like books?" Belle asked.

"Yes, I love books!" said Athena.

"Then you can work for me at the library!" said Belle, who was grinning.

"Really? You'd hire me?"

"Of course!"

"Well thank you so much, Mr. Gold," said Athena.

"You're welcome," Rumple replied.

"And I'm so glad you're here, Liana. I no longer feel alone."

I smiled. "Me too."

"Well, we should get going to Granny's and explain the situation to her," said Ruby. Belle nodded in agreement.

And then it was time for them to leave. And as they were leaving, David and Hook approached the shop. I sighed. Why did today have to be a busy day?

Rumple sighed. "What do you want?"

"There's an emergency," said David. "Emma is trapped under ice by a woman with some kind of ice magic."

"And this involves me because?" Rumple questioned.

I glared at Rumple. He had such a nice attitude towards my sister. Why not with David?

"Wait... did you say ice magic?" I asked.
David nodded. "Maybe I could help?"

"If you can melt the ice?" Hook suggested.

"I might be able to? But then again... I feel as though I'd make things worse."

"And it seems that I could melt the ice and destroy it with a thought, but that would also destroy your girlfriend," he said to Hook. "Is that what you want?"

"No one's destroying anyone. Now, the woman who has Emma trapped is in there with her, and she's looking for her sister... name of Anna. She thinks she's in town because of something of hers she found in your shop... a necklace."

"Is that it?" I asked, walking over to a beautiful star necklace.

"Wait. I know this," said David. I furrowed my eyebrows. "I know exactly who Anna is."
