JACOB POV

2 WEEKS LATER

From the moment I saw her lying on the concrete I thought she was beautiful. I couldn't stop thinking about her no matter how hard I tried. Maddie Mitchells took my breath away.

My phone started ringing and it cut into my thoughts.

"Hello, Jacob Black speaking." I said as calmly as I could even though I was pissed that they interrupted my thoughts.

"Um, hi Jacob this is Maddie. Lucy went home today and I was wondering if you still had that job available?" Maddie asked stuttering a bit.

So it was Maddie that interrupted my thoughts. To be honest I am actually happy to hear her voice.

"Ah Maddie, I am glad you called. I am sorry I haven't been around for you to talk to. Yes the job is yours if you want it. Would you like to start tomorrow?" I asked.

Truth be told even though Maddie was living with me I hadn't seen her since Lucy arrived she was either out shopping when I was home or sleeping.

"It's OK Jacob I know you're a busy man and I am eternally grateful that you are letting me stay in your home. Yes, I'd love to start tomorrow." She replied happily.

"Great sounds good. Thank you for calling Maddie and I will see you when I get home." I said.

We said goodbyes and i returned to work. 6 o'clock came quicker than expected and I gathered y things and returned home.

Maddie was still up luckily and I grabbed a glass of wine and sat down across from her on the couch.

"Hello Jacob, did you have a good day at work?" She asked.

"It went well, super busy today with meetings." I answered blandly.

"Jacob I have to leave." She blurted out.

"What why?" I asked.

"Because as of tomorrow you're going to be my boss and I don't want people getting the wrong idea and besides I need to get my own place here anyways." She said.

"Maddie who cares what others think. But, I know where you are coming from. Tomorrow I will find you a decent apartment and you can move in there." I answered not wanting to piss her off.

"Thank you Jacob. You've been so kind to me." She replied.

We both went to bed shortly after.

I drove Maddie and I to the office and showed her to her desk.

"Maddie there is a list of things there I need done before lunch." I pointed out.

"Thank you Mr. Black I will get them done now." She said.

"You can still call me Jacob when it's just you and me." I smiled.

"Ok, good to know." She stated.

"Oh and here is your company credit card." I said handing it to her. "Use it as you please."

I walked back into my office shaking my head wondering how did I get so lucky to find her.

MADDIE'S POV:

"Maddie there is a list of things there I need done before lunch." Jacob pointed out.

There had been a long list of things already needing to be done.

"Thank you Mr. Black I will get them done now." I said.

"You can still call me Jacob when it's just you and me." He smirked

"Ok, good to know." I stated.

"Oh and here is your company credit card." He said handing it to me. "Use it as you please."

The first two tasks were simple: set up meetings with a couple potential clients. Next I had to run grab Jacobs coffee. Then, I had to prepare the conference room for a conference just after lunch. The list just went on and on.

Shortly before lunch Jacob called me into his office.

"Jacob I've finished the list. Is there anything else you need?" I asked.

"Maddie you've done great so far. You will be accompanying me on this meeting. Please make sure you have proper equipment to take notes with." He said.

"Thank you Jacob, I will. Meeting is at 1:30 right?" I confirmed.

"Yes, be there 10 minutes early please." He ordered politely.

"Of course Jacob. Thank you again for this opportunity." I said on my way out.

Now I was going to go grab lunch and book it back here to get to the meeting.

I grabbed a sandwich from the shop on the corner using the company credit card. This job isn't so bad after all.

I hurried back so I wasn't late for my first meeting with Jacob. I walked back in the building and a young women stared at me. She was the receptionist.

"You won't last two weeks here." She said to me.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"Because the last 6 PA's Mr. Black has had quit within 2 weeks." She stated.

"I really need this job and I am not going to quit no matter the hell he puts me through." I said confidently.

"Good for you then, I'm sorry I came off sort of bitchy. You aren't like the last PA's he's had. You seem like an old soul and really sweet. I'm Victoria Newberry. You can call me Tori." She said with a gently smile.

"I forgive you, I understand that some of the past PA's were pains in the you know what." I laughed. "My name is MaddisonMitchells, but you can call me Maddie or Mads." I answered.

"Nice to meet you and Welcome!" She smiled. "Maybe we could grab lunch tomorrow if you're free." She offered.

"Yeah that would be great." I answered.

By the time the meeting was over and i finished typing all the notes into a document that I sent to Jacob it was 5 o'clock and time for me to go home. Jacob told me to leave around 5 and I obeyed. To be honest the first day wasn't even so bad I even made a friend- I think. Tori seemed pretty nice. Well after our little fall-out anyways.

A/N: So sorry I haven't updated this in like over a month. Life has been hectic. I am going to try to update more but I have been facing serious writers block. As you know if you have been reading MBFB too you will probably find this chapter a bit forced as chapter 15 was of that book. It's been hard lately to get anything typed out. But I am trying to work through it! I hope you all enjoyed this. 

Also please give me a hand... What would YOU guys like to see in the next couple chapters?
