Chapter 3
"Percy, my dear!" His mother came running up to him, enveloping him in a warm hug.
Even if it had only been a couple of days, she had missed her little boy.
"Hey mom." Percy said, hugging her back automatically.
She let go of him and turned to the other blonde haired boy.
"Jason!" She exclaimed and wrapped him in a hug too which he returned gratefuly. Sally Jackson had treeted him as her own son ever since the wolves had brought him to her palace garden after his mother's death.
Jason Grace's father had left him when he was an infant, and his sister... he didn't even know where she was now. He couldn't even remember her. He'd only been two years old.
Percy flopped down, in a very unprince like manner, on one of the luxurious sofas. Jason sat down atop the arm of an antique chair and took off his cloak and unclasped the belt his sword was attached to.
"Oh gods." Jason exclaimed and looked at the Queen who was now sitting graciously on an armchair. "Why was that woman 90 years old?"
Sally laughed. "She was only 39, Jason."
Percy gaped. "And I'm supposed to marry her? I'm 19! 19!" He emphasised.
"If you choose to not you could-" Sally started but King Poseidon cut her off.
"You will marry her, Perseus." He said firmly. "Notging else is to be said about the matter."
He marched on purposefully past them and into his chamber.
Percy rolled his eyes.
His mother sighed.
"Why can't he marry some princess?" Jason asked.
"Jason," Sally said. "There aren't any princesses around here and we can't exactly go to the Kingdom of Romania and ask the handbof marriage from Princess Reyna after that fued we had lately."
"Why do I have to marry a royal though?" Percy questioned tiredly.
"Oh Percy. Your father wants to make a bond with another kingdom." The Queen said. "My wish is for you to follow your heart. Even if it is a common farmer's daughter you are destined to marry then I will more than willingly support it."
Jason kicked his legs up onto the small glass coffee table and smirked at percy, his glasses flashing in the sunlight streaming through the windows.
"Oh, we all know who Percy is destined to marry." He said smugly.
"Who?" Percy asked cluellesly.
"The servant maiden working at Queen Helena's Palace." Jason said.
Percy scoffed and looked away, feeling himself go red.
The Queen however, leaned forward excitedly, her eyes glinting mischievously.
"Oh really." She taunted. She faced Jason with a stern expression. "Details. Now." She commandered.
Jason laughed. "Well, they had quite a moment when she saw him. She gasped and dropped the plate and Percy being Percy helped her pick it up."
"Continue." Sally said, a smirk tugging at her lip.
"Well, I think she cut herself and Perce asked if she was okay but she just gathered up all the pieces and ran out of the room."
"Aww." Sally cooed. "That is so cute! My baby boy's growing up!"
Percy glared at Jason. "Well, it wasn't like you weren't making googly eyes at that brown haired girl."
"Jason, what are you hiding?" Sally perked up again.
"Nothing." Jason growled. "And I was not making googly eyes at her."
"Sure you weren't." Percy said. He was the one smirking now.
Sally grinned. "Well, I'll just leave you boys to it. Got some taxes to take care of. We really should lower them and stop asking for so much from the poor town's folk."
She got up, kissed both the boys on the cheek and left the room.
"Did you catch her name?" Jason asked with a smirk.
"No...but-" Percy frowned.
"What?" Jason asked. "Did you just realise your undying love for her?"
"No you idiot." Percy said playfully before frowning once more.
"Her eyes." He muttered.
"Were so amazing and mesmerizing that you could've died?" Jason asked.
"Grace, shut up or I'll skewer you." Percy threatened.
Jason laughed. "Alright, I'll stop. What were you saying?"
"I felt like I've seen her eyes before some where." Percy muttered, more to himself than to anyone else. "Grey eyes. Intimadating, but pretty too."

Annabeth scrubbed out the floor of the throne room fot the third time that day, trying to erase the image that was burned into her mind.
The princes had stayed for a couple more days before leaving and Annabeth had not caught sight of them again but it was no matter. The image of the raven haired prince was etched into her head.
Those eyes.
She knew them so well, had looked upon them too many times to count and yet, that was the first time she'd seen them.
Sea green, like the ocean at the brink of a storm but they were gentle and kind.
He'd asked her is she was okay, but she hadn't replied.
A name squeezed its way through the turning gears in her mind.
Percy Jackson.
That was his name.
There was one time when she had seen, the prince taking a stroll down one of the corridors. He had looked at her arranging flowers into a vase but then Queen Helena had come gliding in and had swept the prince away with her 'charms'.
Annabeth scrubbed the tiled floor harder than ever but to no avail. She still remembered every shade of green that had flowed through his eyes.
His face was scorched clearly into her memory. She was more sure than ever now.
Unconsciously, she stopped scrubbing and fingered the red coral neckless on her bead neckless.
Her fingers moved onto one of the beads and she was immediately plagued with a vision like image.

She was sitting next to a bed where a boy was lying, eyes closed, his mouth parted, drool dribbling down his chin. She was holding a little bowl and was smirking at the boy. She spooned a bit of what was inside the bowl and jammed it inside the boy's mouth, a strand of his drool curling away with the spoon. She smirked, looking disgusted at the same time.
The vision changed.
She was standing on what appeared to be a porch. The same dark haired boy was staring at her expectantly with his vivid sea green eyes. He was holding something that looked like a massive horn.
"You drool in your sleep." She told him and turned back around and ran away, before he could see her blush.
The vision changed again.
The boy and she were standing on the same porch, this time overlooking a pine tree by the hill side where what appeared to be a family were gathered at.
They were shaking hands and even though it was only an image, she felt the sparks shoot up her arm.
"Take care, Seaweed Brain." She said. "Keep your eyes open."
"You two Wise Girl." The boy said to her.
She gave him one last smile then ran towards the family at the top of the hill. The woman looked slightly like Queen Helena but she looked much nicer. There was a blonde man- the father she never knew- and two younger boys. They smiled at her. She looked back at the boy one last time before moving her eyes away.

Then she gasped in surprise and her eyes fluttered open.
