Rainbow Dash flew to the palace. Before she reached the gates she saw a crowd of stallions trying to get into the grounds, only to be stopped by the royal guard.
"Oh dear."
Before she could stop herself, she headed for the bridge. Unexpectedly the stallions parted as did the guards, the stallions eyeing her with a smirk. Rainbow raised an eyebrow at this but she dismissed this. As soon as the mare was off the wooden bridge the guards returned their positions.
Rainbow Dash stared nervously at the other mares and gentlcolts, they looked so posh, she could never act to their level.
"Just breath."
Rainbow Dash made her way to the palace. She heard a yell and looked under the bridge to the gate. Below her was a stallion pushing a bright yellow-orange pony into a cage.
"Cheese!"
Rainbow rushed down the nearest staircase. As the stallion hooked himself up to the wagon Rainbow Dash blocked his path.
"Realise him!"
"And why would I do that?" he asked, his voice full of anger.
"That stallion is my servant realise him."
"Excuse me miss but you need to get a move on."
Rainbow Dash held up a small sack in which she kept her coins.
"I have twenty gold bits."
"Yeah you can get me for twenty gold bits! Now move!" he yelled, raising his hoof.
Rainbow Dash squinted her eyes, prepared to feel the pain of the stallion's rough hoof.
"I say sir, how dare raise your voice at a lady?" said a mysterious voice.
Rainbow Dash slowly turned around to meet the same green eyes she had stared into earlier that day.
"Your highness." Rainbow muttered as she looked down.
"I am sorry sir but she was blocking my path and I was just trying to deliver this stallion to his new owner. He is a thief he can't deliver himself."
"He is not a thief my lord and those who are can't help themselves."
Soarin raised an eyebrow.
"Care to explain?" asked Twilight.
"Well, Prince Soarin, if you treat your ponies with a lack of education, then they are to only do what they have been brought up to do by those before with the same lack of education. In conclusion, you are creating thieves and then punish them for it."
Soarin smiled.
"There it is then. Realise him."
The stallion hesitated before he got out of the wagon and opened the cage to let Cheese Sandwich out. Cheese Sandwich hugged Rainbow Dash.
"You look just like your mother." He whispered.
"Meet me at the bridge," she muttered "Prepare the wagon!" she called making sure every pony who would be bothered hear.
Cheese and Rainbow went two different directions. Twilight smiled at the young mare, but frowned when she saw her slippers were much too big for her.
'Perché avrebbe dovuto indossare quelli?' she thought.
Soarin stared at the mare. His mind continued the picture her beautiful magenta eyes and her glorious rainbow mane, it reminded him of what happened earlier that day. Before he knew it, he found his hooves walking behind her.
"Wait! Miss! Come back!"
Rainbow's pupils shrank as she slowly turned her head to see Soarin.
'Oh dear, I'm busted.'
"Do I know you?" he asked.
"Um, no." Rainbow continued walking, Soarin following her.
"I don't remember seeing you around here."
"I-I-I am visiting a cousin."
"Which one?"
Rainbow raised an eyebrow, trying to increase her act.
"The only one I have." She said as if it was obvious.
"What's your name?"
"I don't wish you to know, but with what you have done. You have only spared one life."
Soarin was lost for words.
"Hopefully they'll have better luck next time." She muttered. But Soarin still could hear.
"Am I to understand you're finding me arrogant?"
Rainbow Dash continued to walk ahead.
"Well, I shouldn't expect any less from a mare who can quote Daring Do."
Rainbow Dash stopped and turned with a small smile of disbelief on her face.
"You, you read Daring Do?"
Soarin walked up to her.
"I find it enjoying knowing of adventures than stand the boring every-day."
Rainbow Dash's frown disappeared. Replaced with a cringe.
"I assume, Prince Soarin, you don't interact with many servants."
"Never."
The cyan pegasus quickened her steps until she almost reached the bridge, just a few steps more and the Prince couldn't stop her.
"Wait! At least tell me your name."
"I ain't talking."
"Then tell me your cousins name so I may ask them."
"Still, not talking."
Rainbow Dash was one step away when she felt a hoof on her shoulder.
"Any name."
Rainbow Dash slowly turned, once again gazing into his emerald eyes. Soarin smiled as drowned in the mare's beautiful magenta eyes. Rainbow smiled.
"I'm afraid the only name I can leave you with, is Dame Firefly la Volée."
Rainbow turned once more only to be stopped by the Princes voice.
"That wasn't so hard was it?"
Rainbow chuckled. But her face fell as she saw a pink alicorn walk towards Soarin. She quickly turned and walked off the bridge.
"Soarin? Soarin there you are!"
"Yes mother I am back."
Soarin smiled, but his face turned to confusion as he saw the mare was gone.
"Where did she go?"
"Soarin, your father would like a word. Or several."
"Usually does."
