[(Y/N)'s PoV]

"MO!" Chara screamed, pointing to me. "what?! why not me-" Sans looked like something was squeezing his whole body and he shut up. He grunted, trying to be free from being paralyzed. My chest flickered red and I was sent into battle.

"Hi (Y/N)~" Chara chuckled. "Fuck. You." I growled. "Aww, you hate me. I thought this was going to be easy, but I love seeing people struggle before they die! It's so much fun how they beg for their lives~"

"IF YOU THINK I'M GOING TO GIVE UP AND DIE, THINK TWICE YOU FUCKING SPAWN OF SATAN!"

"Ooooh..." Chara's smile widened. "Does the little baby really want to fight? Well, here we go I guess!" Chara swiped their knife at me, but I dodged. I tried to choose ACT, but there were no other options but to check.

Chara tried to stab me again, but it grazed my shoulder.

(Y/N) 18/20 HP.

I selected the 'Item' option. "Nuh-uh! You aren't healing!" Chara hit the ITEM option, breaking it. "Cute child... Asriel was cute too." Chara glared at me, then held their knife up. "AND HE WAS AS BIG AS A FOOL LIKE YOU!" Chara sent red bullets. I dodged.

What if I use mercy...?  I thought to myself. I selected the MERCY button. "OH." Chara chuckled. "Oh my god!" Chara was in fits of laughter. "Y-You.... actually-y think... that you can... SPARE ME?!" Chara laughed as they threw regular bullets. Some hit me.

(Y/N) 9/20 HP.

I turned to Sans and his expression was a mixture of sadness, anger, fear, and concern. I looked at my options, but FIGHT was chosen already. I was forced to try and hit Chara, but I missed. "Ooh, getting feisty now are we?" They sent bullets again, it was a bit harder to dodge. A few grazed my legs.

(Y/N) 3/20 HP.

The fight button was chosen automatically again and Chara avoided my attack. "Listen, (Y/N)." They sent bullets and they spoke as I tried to avoid them. "Give me your soul."

"N-NO! EVEN IF YOU WANT IT WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, I'M NEVER GIVING YOU MY SOUL!" I screamed, tears forming in my eyes. "No?" The attack stopped. Chara giggled. "You must be mistaken, (Y/N)." They sent several red bullets, I barely avoided them. "I don't want  it. I need  it. I'm incomplete." They dodged my automatic attack. "You always look so... self assured and whole. I think I know what your secret is."

Chara had started sending random attacks. "Your DETERMINATION. Your soul. You were about to give up earlier, but you're fighting me anyways know that you won't win. When you die, you won't be able to continue. My damage is very... special." I threw my stick at them. Chara stomped on it, breaking it into two.

"My soul isn't worth a lot," Chara broke my FIGHT button. "But if I have yours, I can finally RESET this timeline like it has never happened." Chara stopped and it was silent. "Oh, what am I saying? I could RESET right now, but seeing your husband squirm like that makes me laugh!" Chara sent red bullets.

There was no way I could dodge them.

"Goodbye, (Y/N)!" Chara laughed and the bullets were speeding towards me. I covered my eyes and I heard a deep 'OW!'

I saw a notification.

SANS 0/1 HP.

I uncovered my eyes and saw Sans on the ground, holding his arm. "(y-y/n)... i-i'm sorry."

"NO! SANS WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"h-heh.... hey (y/n).... i have a pun for you..."

"SANS THIS IS NOT THE TIME-"

"looks like this blueberry..." His legs started turning to dust. "is going to get blue-buried." He chuckled. "i-i-i'll be f-fine, (y/n)." I started to cry. "S-Sans c'mon this isn't v-very funny..." I leaned in to kiss him, but his skull turned to dust. "S-SANS...?" I was on my knees, gripping the dust on the ground. His jacket was the only thing left. "Ooh, boohoo. He shouldn't have stepped in the way~"

"Chara." I wiped a tear from my eye. "What is it? I can answer anything before you die!"

"I want him back." I stood up, tightening my fists. "Sorry about that, I can't bring him back unless I get power from your SOUL to RESET!" I stayed silent.

"Your DETERMINATION will give me enough power to RESET. You won't remember anything, but you get your precious Sansy back~" Chara twirled their knife. "I'm not going to."

"Ooh, what are you going to do, summon the Seven Souls and try to kill me with a rainbow?" Chara laughed. "Only I can do that." Chara sent a few more bullets. I walked towards Chara.

Two bullets hit me.

(Y/N) 1/20 HP.

"What are you doing?" I walked closer. "G-Get any closer and you'll die! I swear!" I was in front of Chara. They held up their knife. "I-I'll stab you!"

"Will you?" I crossed my arms. "Will you really, Chara?" I smirked. "Surely you just want to try to sound impressive and not scared."

"I AM A SERIAL MURDERER WITH AN INSANE ATTITUDE. I'VE KILLED ALL OF THE OTHER SANSES AND MONSTERS UNDERGROUND AND I SURE AS FUCKING CAN KILL YOU, (Y/N)!" Chara stomped their foot.

"Listen here, (Y/N)." Chara glared at me, their eyes glowing red. "You might not get what I say about this, but this is the last chapter. The last chapter to your story."

"My what now?" I raised an eyebrow. "Just give me your soul. I promise it will bring Sans and your friends back when I RESET this timeline." Chara tried to stab me, but I grabbed the knife. It dug into my hand, cutting me. I could tolerate it.

For a bit.

I started to whimper silently. "I can see you struggling, (Y/N). Let me RESET. Please, I'm practically begging you to give me your SOUL. We can forget this had ever happened. I can even make it where you've never fallen down the hole in the first place and you could have never been in this mess! Think about it, (Y/N). the process will be simple!"

I let go of the knife, gripping my hand in pain. Chara waited for my answer. I thought about it thoroughly.

"You know what, Chara?" I leaned to them. "I've made up my mind."
