Nino Nakano was out with her sister Yotsuba. It had been a while since the two of them were alone with each other.

This pair was usually not seen together as they were almost like polar opposites.

Yotsuba was the athlete that enjoyed being active.

Nino was the princess of the five and refrained from doing any sort of activity physical activity that wasn't needed.

The perfect duo right?

They were what is known in the world of statistics as the lower and higher quartile values.

The numbers in between the largest and mean, and the smallest and mean.

This was the only way they could describe it since this was the way Fuutarou taught them.

"You guys are such idiots that the concepts can directly be applied to you guys." He would tell them.

And in a way he was right. It just seemed like they were in the middle of their older sister and their younger ones.

So when they found themselves casually shopping together it sparked some interesting conversations.

"Hey Nino, do you think this looks good on me?" Yotsuba held a track suit to her body.

"You already have a million of those... plus that color doesn't look good on you." The second eldest daughter didn't even bother looking at the outfit for more than a few seconds.

"Ehhhhh??" Yotsuba pouted, "Then what about this one-"

"I think we should find you a dress instead." Nino cut her sister off.

"But I can't run in a dress." The clover girl complained as she was pushed around by Nino.

"I bet white looks good on you. It looks good on me so it's gotta look good for you too."

"You'd be surprised." Yotsuba rolled her eyes.

There were countless of times her sisters would all look stunning in their outfits and she would look... ordinary.

It didn't make sense. After all they all looked the exact same. Down to the finest detail.

And somehow no matter how hard she tried... her sisters were obviously prettier than her.

At least that's how she thought of it.

She was by no means ugly. She was the only one of the quintuplets that worked out. She easily had the most fit body out of the five.

"How about this one?" Nino's voice brought Yotsuba back to reality.

She held up a really cute white sun dress. Just like the same dress they used to wear as kids.

"What do you think of this?" Nino waved it at her.

"I'll try it on..." Yotsuba offered.

As she put the dress on a brief wave of nostalgia hit her.

The five of them, Yotsuba and her sisters all running through the park wearing the same outfit.

The time when there wasn't anything standing between them and each other.

Back when they were all the same.

"Are you okay?" Nino asked as Yotsuba refocused her gaze to the real world.

The second eldest's hand moved up to wipe something from her eye.

It took her a moment to realize that it was a tear.

Quickly she shook it off. "Sorry, I was just remembering mama... that's all." She answered.

"It's almost that time isn't it." Nino took a deep breath. "Maybe we should all visit this time."

Every month on the date of their mother's passing, Itsuki would routinely stop by Rena Nakano's grave. Paying homage to their late mother.

"I think that's a good idea." Yotsuba said. "After all, her death was the reason we all began to grow out of our shells."

"Up until then we really were the 'quintuplets'" Nino laughed, "but since then I've become Nino and you've become Yotsuba."

Yotsuba shook her head. "No... I think the one that really made us become who we are is Uesugi-san."

"Hmph... that idiot was useful in a way wasn't he." Nino smiled as she and Yotsuba left to gather the rest of the girls to visit the grave.

"So why am I here again?" Fuutarou sighed as he glanced at the five sisters beckoning him to pray before their mother's grave.

"I'm sure Mama would've been very happy to meet you." Ichika teased.

"Being Mr. Star student and all." Miku added.

"I just feel out of place here..." he muttered. "After all this is your guys' special time with her isn't it? I don't want to ruin it-"

"If you would've ruined it we wouldn't have invited you." Nino scoffed.

Fuutarou finished his prayer and the five of them stepped forward.

"Mama..." Itsuki began. "The person you just met is someone who changed us. He's finished what you've started."

"And we were able to finally find who we're supposed to be." Miku said.

"I've finally found how to be different from everyone else." Yotsuba added.

"And although we're all going in different paths." Nino nodded.

"We'll always be together no matter what." Ichika finished.

"No matter where we are, no matter who we meet, our pain, and our joy, is equally shared,"They put their hands in a pile. "The important thing is we all stay together!"

As they finished their prayer Fuutarou got a glimpse as the reason why he wanted to stay with the quintuplets.

He said he wanted to watch them graduate with smiling faces in high school.

But now...

He wanted to watch them continue to live with smiling faces.
