Mr.Over-protective!

Shivaay losing his patience went straight in search of Anika, he literally pushed the room door only to find an empty room. He was very much disappointed when he felt a pat on his shoulder. He instantly turned behind expecting it to be Anika but it was Rudra instead.

"What do you want Rudra!" Shivaay asked impatiently when he said,"Bhai, Anika is in the hall"
Uttering a "Thanks", he literally ran to the hall just to see Anika. Composing himself as he reached the hall, he found Anika playing with a cute little baby girl.

Her smile was affecting him a lot. She was breathtaking and he couldn't take his eyes off her. She was still playing with the baby when he reached to her.
"Hey Shivaay!" She greeted him while he didn't respond as he was still lost in her. The baby girl was playing with Anika's earring when Shivaay said keenly observing her, "There's something still you need!"
She raised her eyebrows gesturing him what it was when he rubbed his little finger on the lower lash line of her right eye acquiring some kohl at the tip of his finger.

He placed it behind her ear instantly when she smiled at him surprised.
"Perfect!" He said admiring her face, and continued "You look phenomenally beautiful!"
"And you look exceptionally handsome!" She said looking at him in a three piece suit for the first time.
Both couldn't stop smiling when the baby smiled widely all of a sudden, maybe the little baby too understood Shivika's feelings for each other.

"That's Shivaay uncle Pari!" Anika said when Shivaay almost cried hearing her.
"Anika I'm not an uncle!" He said pouting at the end when she chuckled apologizing to him instantly.
"This is just Shivaay, okay Pari?!" Anika told the baby when she raised her hands wanting to go in Shivaay's arms.

They were still playing with Pari when Khushi, Pari's mother reached to Anika.
"Thank you Anika! Hope she didn't trouble you much." She said when Anika said back, "Do angels trouble?! Pari also didn't Khushi. She's such a good girl, know Pari?!" Anika asked the little girl when she smiled widely in response.

"Pari let's make a deal between us, I'm not an uncle okay!?" Shivaay whispered in the little baby's ears when she held his hand and blinked immediately in response, accepting his deal.
"Thank you!" He said kissing Pari's hand in happiness.
"Your husband?!" Khushi asked when Shivaay and Anika passed each other an awkward smile.
"Err... He's my best friend" She said.

It was dinner time when someone unexpectedly entered the hall. Rudra came running towards Shivaay and Anika.
"Anika, Bhai he-he..." He was still panting hard when Anika panicked if it was Kaali Thakur.

She almost ran to the entrance only to see Vikram standing there. She instantly ran to him and hugged him while he reciprocated back, meanwhile Shivaay and Rudra came behind her.

"I'm so so happy Vikram uncle. Thanks for coming." Anika said still in his arms when he said teary eyed, "I really missed you Anu beta!"
"I missed you too" she responded back.

Vikram congratulated Om and Gauri for their marriage. He said,"So my Anu is next on the list."
Just when he said that, Anika and Shivaay share a cute eyelock which wasn't unnoticed by Vikram.

The reception ended with a happy note.

Everyone were as usual busy with their office schedules. They planned meet ups at Vikram's house every weekend, not just Anika and ShivOmRu but Gauri and Bhavya also joined them in every meet up. Vikram shifted to Mumbai and his bad memories no longer haunted him, he was happy with the beautiful family he found.

So was Anika happy finding a new hope in her life, the hope that she can be loved too. She no longer cried when she thought of her best friend, Chanda. Though she missed her, the gap was filled by her friends who became her family.

One fine night, she overheard her parents conversation.

"I wish Abhi was here with us. Our family would be complete." Hari Prakash, Anika's father sighed sadly when Roopa, Anika's mother asked, "Hari should Abhi get another chance?!"
"Maybe or maybe not. Anika will take care. I trust her." he said.

Anika left from there thinking about her brother. She wanted to clear many of her doubts, so many questions were roaming in her mind but she never got answer for one at least. She instantly left to meet Vikram.

Reaching there she found Vikram reading a book at one corner in the mansion.
"Uncle?!" Anika called out to him when he was surprised seeing her.
"Anu beta?! What happened!? Is everything fine?" He asked concerned when she said, "I don't know uncle. I'm just blank."

She settled herself right next to Vikram telling about her brother. He instantly said, "Listen beta, I know Abhi was very wrong! But I think we should give him another chance."
"Really Uncle?!" She asked again in confirming tone when he nodded positively. She hugged him immediately as she felt clear in what she had to and he reciprocated back.

He then asked her, "Since I answered your question. Now you should answer mine! Okay?"
"Okay done!" She squealed happily.
Chuckling at her reaction he asked, "You are in love with Shivaay, aren't you?!"

Hearing his question, her heartbeat stopped for a second. "I...I..." She stuttered and finally managed to say, "I don't know uncle!"
"I know then." he said when she looked straight in his eyes.
"You are in love Anu. Trust me! I can see love between you both." he said surprising her.

"Me and love?!" She thought to herself, her past life flashing in front of her.
"Uncle, Shivaay is my best friend." she said her inner self fighting with her heart which was thumping faster hearing the word 'Love'.
"Any relationship starts with friendship. I don't know why you are hesitating but don't hide that beautiful feeling within you." Vikram said caressing her cheeks.
