You resemble her

Shivaay was talking while Prem was looking at Anika who was silent all the while.

"You resemble her!" Prem stated surprising Anika and Shivaay.
"Who Uncle?" Shivaay asked while Anika was wondering.
"Anika!" Prem said shocking Shivaay and Anika again.

"It's quite surprising that even your name is Anika dear. Maybe even God didn't like Vicky suffering alone." Prem said in happiness.
"Anu was a very affectionate girl, Vicky's princess. She and bhabhi were his only world. Unfortunately once when they were coming back from a marriage, they met with an accident. And they died leaving him in darkness." Prem sounded low.

Shivaay felt very bad for Vikram while Anika was having flashes of her past when Chanda died in an accident. She was totally disturbed when Prem continued,"You know what Anika! You seem to be just like her. She would have been of your age if she was alive. I myself am surprised to find one person an exact copy of another. Vikram left Mumbai when the accident happened and he never came back after that but after these many years he has come back again!" He said feeling that something good was happening in his friend's life.

"Hope you stay in touch with him often! Would you?" Prem asked her.
"Of course uncle! I promise I would" Anika assured him.

Her inner voice

"How can I leave Vikram Uncle?! I can never, not even in my dreams.
This bond of ours is very special."

It was very late that night, so Vikram told his driver to drop Shivaay and Anika while these two didn't argue with him knowing his protective nature for them.

Slowly Anika herself could feel the change in her life, new friends and new relations but little did she know her past will be back to taunt her very soon.

One fine saturday during the weekend, Anika got a call from Om. Hearing him, she ran to the City Hospital where she saw  Shivaay lying unconscious on the hospital bed.

"Anika! He was coming to meet you but then he met with an accident and now..." Rudra said tears running down his cheeks.

She stepped back from there not uttering a word and left without meeting Shivaay. This shocked Rudra and Om. They didn't expect something like this from Anika.

The next day, Shivaay was discharged from the hospital and he took out his bike to leave when Om and Rudra stopped him.

"Bhai! Where are you going?" Rudra asked concerned.
"To Anika's house." Shivaay confessed as he didn't see her after the accident.
"Stop caring so much about a random girl! She is just our colleague." Rudra blasted at Shivaay.

"Rudra! What's wrong with you? She is our friend." Shivaay hollered to which Om spoke this time,"Shivaay if she is our friend, she wouldn't have left without meeting you yesterday!"
"She came yesterday to the hospital?" Shivaay asked surprised.
"Yes! But when we told you met with an accident, she just left without uttering a word."
"Rudra, Om I need to go! I will come back soon and talk about this!" saying Shivaay left.

~ Anika's house ~

No one opened the door even after so many knocks from his side, so he decided to get inside from the window nearby. He jumped in when he saw nothing in the dark, "Anika!?"
Shivaay called out once again but didn't get back any response. He switched on the light to see Anika unconsciously lying on the floor. His efforts were futile when he tried waking her up.

He looked around to see her room completely in mess, he understood that she was upset over something.
She regained her conscious when Shivaay made her drink water. She was shocked to see Shivaay sitting right in front of her, she smiled weakly but soon it vanished.

"Shivaay leave! Right now." Anika spoke quite rude.
"But why? What happened to you?" Shivaay asked concerned.
"Please Shivaay. Don't ever come to meet me nor try to talk to me from now on." Anika said her voice filled with pain.

Shivaay held her, asking "Anika that's not going to happen. I know you are upset with my accident! But why?"
She couldn't resist herself anymore as she needed someone's support very badly at that time.

"Because I don't want to lose you also Shivaay!" saying she fell in his arms crying her heart out "Because of me, you should not get hurt. I already lost one, and I can't afford to lose you also"

That's when Shivaay understood whom she was talking about.
"Chanda?!" Shivaay asked looking at her.
"Shivaay if you are with me it's not safe for you. Please don't be with me! I'm not worth being loved nor loving anyone." Anika said tears running down her cheeks.

"Don't you dare say that Anika! And one more thing, I'm not going to leave you ever, not even in your dreams!" saying Shivaay wiped her tears.
