Okay I'm going to do Ceru.. Nah wait I'm going to do the Kanjo, yeah.

Okay so Kanjo (K-aww-n- joe) are pretty simple
(Hi Serena from the future here. They are not simple. I thought they were but they are not)

Basically, the species is heavily affected by negative emotions, Primarily fear, anger, and sadness.

In the event that a Kanjo let's their emotions get out of control, a hard shell will form on their bodies. The shell's appearance depends on what emotion is getting out of control.

If sadness (or any negative emotion relating to sadness) is out of control, the shell will be white and smooth. The shell covers the entire body, but the shell is longer on the arms, which makes the Kanjo's arms appear as if they're as long as 3 and a half feet. The details of the shell include two black ovals resembling eyes, and two long blue tear-like stripes, reaching from the 'eyes' all the way to the feet.

If anger (or any negative emotion relating to anger) is out of control, the shell will be red and extremely jagged, kind of like their entire body is barbed. The anger shell also has black ovals as eyes

If fear (or any negative emotion relating to fear) is out of control,  the shell will be black and a bit shiny and reflective. The shell will have black spikes, both large and small, some even as thin as needles, jetting out of the entire body.

The shells start out small, usually starting on the hands. The way you can tell if a shell is about to form is the eyes, if a Kanjo's eyes change color to either a navy blue, blood red, or pitch black color, their emotions are taking them over.

wow this species is a lot more complicated then I thought...... 

The worse the emotion's get, the quicker the shell spreads to the rest of the body. If the shell spreads all the way onto the entire body, the Kanjo will be completely taken over by the emotion, and their consciousness is lost. If the Kanjo was angry, it will start attacking everyone relentlessly. If the Kanjo was sad, they will just collapse and sob. If the Kanjo was afraid, it will find a place it thinks is safe, and it will attack anything that gets too close, no matter what it is.

If that happens, and the shell takes over their entire body, the Kanjo must be killed.

If the shell doesn't corrupt them 100% there is still some hope, and the Kanjo has to sleep the shell off. While the Kanjo is sleeping, the negitive emotions will leave them in the form of clouds above their heads.

Each Kanjo is born with a specific negative emotion that is harder for them to control than the other two.

The more the Kanjo is corrupted, the harder it is for them to recover. Eventually recovery becomes impossible.

Why I keep mentioning how the brothers are scared of losing Ceru:
Ceru was kidnapped and held prisoner for five years, Kabori found and saved her.

During the time she was taken, Terro and Allen met Kabori and stayed with her. The fear that his sister would never return or that something horrible was happening to her eventually overwhelmed Allen and he was corrupted by his own fear.
Kabori was forced to behead and kill him.
However, she was also able to miraculously bring him back to life without the shell of fear on his body

I also feel like I should mention- when a Kanjo dies, their bodies don't rot. Ever.
