Struggling to learn people :'')
Help
The top left is supposed to be dodging something, and the bottom right is just awkwardly leaning, I guess??
I've learned to be more deliberate with drawing people. Who cares how bad it looks—you just have to be confident with it, enjoy the drawing process, and not fuss over the smaller details. You'll learn all of those little things in time; for now, be comfortable with not being perfect and just draw. Just draw.
Or you could be smart and efficient and take classes but, pfft, I don't have the time or funds for that.
Also here's a weird thing:
I hate feet, they're gross and veiny and aACK, but drawing big shoes/feet is so much fun. My feet of humans are probably always gonna be a bit paw-like ;w;
Aaaanyway, I want to pick up trying to learn to draw humans again because my bud WolfOfTheNightSky created a superhero universe and invited me to create a character for it, and I'm sO EXCITED. I'm way into DC again, and I've started watching more Marvel movies, and I just wanna draw some superheroes, y'know? My guy is based off a beetle, but not really like Blue Beetle... it's complicated. I really like what I came up with for his powers, too. (I'm keeping that a secret until I come up with a design, though ;) ) I hope you guys like him—I've been sketching out design ideas all day, but I'm not going to do a full ref or go more in-depth about his story/powers/role/etc. until I learn to draw humans a little better.
I won't tell you much right now, but here's what I will tell you:
-His civilian name is Theodore 'Theo' James
-He is inspired by several species of Goliathus Beetles
-He does not have a superhero name as of yet
-He is 19-ish (probably, haven't decided fully)
-He has only been in the field for around 6 months, but has been training for years longer than that
-At the start, he is very naive. He believes all people are good, and those 'bad people' are just misguided. He does not believe in evil, not at first.
