Okay so I'm a little bit annoyed.

I usually listen to some kind of background noise when I draw (music or a TV show usually) and I recently ran out of music, so I've been looking for something else that I can listen to in the background and not really pay attention to completely?
I stumbled across a playlist of all the Steven Universe episodes the other day, and, since I was feeling nostalgic and I had abandoned the series midway through and left on a cliffhanger a while back, I decided, why not? I still love the characters, the show is still special to me—I watched it for a long time back then.

My twin sister comes in, sees me listening to SU in the background, and fLIPS HER SHIT.
So, I'm in high school, which apparently deems me too old for cartoons.

I LOVE cartoons. I watched the entirety of the Powerpuff Girls over the summer. Gravity Falls was my life last year. I just love animation; it keeps my attention for far longer than live action TV can.
And if she has a problem with how childish cartoons supposedly are.. good. I want them childish, and naive, and innocent. Life's already too stressful to tack on a TV show that has a stressful plot—to me, at least. And, besides—I'm only listening to it in the background while I draw. If it has a suspenseful plot, I'd never actually get any art done.

So if I wanna watch cartoons while I draw or read Batman comics before bed, goddammit, I'm watching cartoons and reading comic books.
