A normal days work at shinigami dispatch, the Death Note incident that happened in the lower shinigami realm really caused a riot at display here. There was so much more work to do due to all the deaths. You were out on the field waiting for someone to die so you could reap their soul. You watched the person die a tragic death, then it was your time to shine.

"Kira huh?"

Everyone in the room turned to look at you.

You threw your scythe over your shoulder and walked over to the dead body.

"Who are you? What the hell are you doing here?" A man said.

"My job" you replied.

You slashed the body with your scythe and watched as the cinematic records flew out. But what you saw was far from normal.

The boy was an orphan, became a detective at a very young age, was an amazingly kind person, and most importantly, was the best detective in the world.

"What's happening? What are those film strips?" A girl said.

"SHHH! This is too amazing to pass up!" You said.

The record ended and you looked around the room, seeing the names of everyone floating over everyone's heads. That's when you spotted Ryuk standing by the brunette.

"So you're the infamous Ryuk? Sorry Ryuk, this one will be spared"

He just laughed in response.

"W-what are you?" The girl said.

"She's a shinigami, but a higher one, she's a different kind. She reaps souls of the dead, she's already a dead human so she can't be killed. She decided weather people live or die, its very rare for someone to escape death, but it seems L managed to do it" Ryuk said.

"I love this part" you said, turning to the body of L.

You put your hand over the gash and his heart, you watched as the cinematic records flew back into his body and the gash closed up. You felt his heart begin to beat again and felt him begin to breathe again. You gently shook him awake to see his eyes had turned a purpleish colour as he opened them, a sign that he'd been revived.

"Huh? What's going on?" He said.

"IMPOSSIBLE! HE HAD A HEART ATTACK!" The brunette yelled.

"SHUT IT!" You yelled.

You turned back to L and pulled him up to his feet, he was a little wobbly but he as alive and well.

"You managed to escape death thanks to a sneaky higher shinigami" you said.

"W-wait what?"

"No need to thank me"

You tuned to the brunette and pointed your scythe at him.

"Light Yagami, on the 5th of November 2006. Comes into contact with a higher shinigami and dies of a death scythe slash, nothing to note" you read from your to die list.

"WHAT? I CAN'T DIE! I'VE DONE NO WRONG!"

"It's written in stone, I have to obey the rules"

You slashed him with your scythe and watched his record pour out.

"Behold, the real Kira" you said, pointing to his record, everyone in the room rushed over to watch his record, seeing all the horrible stuff he did.

Once the record ended, you reaped the soul and stamped off his name on in your book and walked over to the window.

"Well it's been fun, but I have three more souls to reap, sorry for just intruding and shocking you all with this but it was set in stone"

You began to climb out the window but turned to look at L.

"Consider yourself lucky L. We'll be meeting again soon, pick your next case carefully"
