Everyone has nightmares. It just happens and you have no control over it. Your nightmares have been getting worse and worse over the years, and they've been keeping you up.

"You should go back to bed"

"NO! I don't want to have another nightmare..."

L looked down at you, beginning to get worried.

"Maybe we should he a doctor about this... nightmares are caused by stress and anxiety after all, maybe they could help you out..." he said.

"It's just nightmares it's not worthy of a doctors trip..." you replied.

"If it's affecting your life then you need help"

"No, it's. it worth a doctors trip..."

He wrapped an arm around you and pulled you into his arms.

"I worry about you... you're beginning to get less and less sleep because of these" he said.

"Look who's talking captain insomniac"

"Hey, I've adapted to lack of sleep. But I'm not letting you rise your health too"

You snuggled into his shirt as he hugged you. You really didn't think that a few nightmares were worthy of a doctors trip.

"I'll be ok... they'll go away eventually" you said.

"Come on then, you should go back to sleep"

"But-"

"No buts, I'm coming with you"

He picked you up off the sofa and carried you to your room where he tucked you into bed before jumping in himself and turning to face you. He gave you a sympathetic look when he saw the worried expression on your face.

"Listen sweetheart, I'll be right here. If you have another nightmare I'll wake you up. And if you wake up from one I'll be right here to comfort you, you'll be ok" he said.

"O-ok"

You wrapped you arms and legs tightly around him, not wanting him to disappear as you fell asleep, of you were going to have a nightmare you wanted him to be there to fight with you. He ran his fingers through your hair, trying to calm you and get you to sleep. Eventually you did begin to feel a little drowsy, and eventually you did start to slip into a slumber, but just as you were about to fall asleep, you would wake up again in fear.

"You'll be ok (y/n), trust me..."

With those words you finally drifted off, only to enter another dream. But this time L was there to protect you from whatever was about to happen.
