You were very nervous. Even though your coach was sure you'd do well, you were still scared. You'd never done something like this before.

"Skating for (country) (y/n) (l/n) with (y/n) on ICE"

That was your cue to get into position, you looked at your coach nicknamed L as you got into position. The music started, and you took off skating to your hearts content.

Who were you skating for? None other than your coach. You could still remember that day, the day he surprised you.

"WHAT?!"

"He's in the hot springs, you could probably catch him there"

You scrambled off, rushing over to the springs, you skidded down the hall and rushed into the hot springs where you froze in shock when you saw none other than one of the best skaters in the world. L Lawliet.

He looked so different in person, but in a good way.

"L-Lawiet..."

He smiled at you grabbing a towel and jumping up to face you. He held out a welcoming hand and smiled.

"(Y/n), starting today I'll be your coach. I'll help you win at the Grand Prix this year"

It was an odd first meeting, naked in a hot spring, but you'd be lying if you said you weren't over joyed to see him... and his abs. Right after that meeting you both sat around the table eating katsudon and talking about how badly you needed to train.

You landed two flips on a row, you were doing well, but not even thinking about the crowd, the judges or the competition at this point. Your mind was on L, and how grateful you were to have him. The song began to draw to a close and you took your final position. You heard the crowd begin to cheer, you looked around to see you had a standing ovation, were you really that good.

"Outstanding performance by (y/n), she had touched the hearts of everyone in this arena!" The MC said.

The support was overwhelming, you began to feel tears fall down your cheeks. You looked over at L who was running to the sidelines to meet you. You skated over to him excitedly.

"I did great didn't I L?" You said excitedly.

He didn't say anything, he smiled and ran onto the ice, he jumped on you and all at once you felt your lips on his. It sent you into shock but you loved every second of it. You landed on the ice with a thud and skidded back a little. After a moment of just staying on the ice in each other's arms, L pulled back and smile down at you.

"It was the only thing I could think of, to surprise you more than you surprised me" he said.

"Really?" You smiled, tears still running down your face.

"Really"

With that, your coach smashed his lips onto yours once again, making the crowd go insane.

The sound of the cheering crowd as well as the feeling of L's lips against yours made you so happy. You didn't want this moment to end.
