Something happened with a friend today, and I wanted to stay up all night just in case they needed me. I mean, there was a whole posse of other people  they'd probably go to first, but I still wanted to be there just in case I was needed. In the end I wasn't really(?), and it took a turn for the better so an all-nighter became unnecessary. Either way, I felt obligated to stay up as long as necessary, so I opened sketch requests on WA.

These are fun. I like doing these. Seeing people enthusiastic about my art is always a nice confidence boost.

The only thing about these that irks me a little bit is that people are only gracious on one end. At least 75% of people that I do one of these for doesn't say thank-you. I mean, they're all polite when asking, but it's thank-yours that a really appreciate.

Requests don't seem to get many thank-yous, in my experience. I once did 36 full-fledged digital shaded requests with backgrounds and everything in the span of six/seven weeks, and only about half of the people even liked the post, and only about half of that half (1/4 of the total number) actually left a comment saying thank-you.

Requests are kinda disheartening sometimes.
