A quick warm-up drawing of one of my friend's characters.

Could be better, but I think it's still my best human drawing yet. That MatPat portrait helped out a lot with learning how to shade faces, but, clearly, I haven't perfected it yet. Nowhere near that, in fact.

His hair looks all soft and pretty though, and his eyes aren't bad. His mouth looks more or less like a smirk, too.

On the other hand, his cheek looks kinda...sharp(?), his arms are very weird,  his nose looks like it was broken at least twice, his head's kinda big, and he's way tanner than I anticipated.

But, all things considered, I guess I'll consider this a success.

You know, I thought that this would make a good profile picture, but then I realized that he's not my character, haha
I'll just have to do something similar with PJ.
..except that PJ is a cat and also still doesn't have a design.
Gotta work on that..

ANYWAY, the character, Puzzle, belongs to Evil-Bat-Cat , and he's from their newest book, which is really good, so please go read it ^^

(Hey, Ari, you should include a cat somewhere in this book so that I can do fan art that doesn't take me eight hours XD)

Nah, in all seriousness, this was a super fun little doodle. I wish I had recorded it. Maybe next time.

In other news, I'm a mentor now??
See, in ArtClan, there's a system of mentors and apprentices. You fill out a form and are assigned to either a mentor or an apprentice, depending on your drawing skill level.

...I'm going to be a god-awful mentor.

As far as ArtClan goes, I'm a sort of 'meh' artist. No one particularly wants me as a mentor, especially when there are people like Cold Rising, Stem Ginger, and even eliza1star acting as mentors.

Worse yet, my apprentice seems to have given up on art entirely. I think it'd be neat to mentor someone, but she seems uninterested, and I seem like I'd be awful anyway, haha

I probably should've been an apprentice XD
