Mistakes
Date: May 14
Time until death: 17 days
"Kiyoko stop, I need you!" She looked at me with pain and understanding in her eyes. "No," she whispered. "You need someone who isn't as broken as me. I'm sorry. I can't deal with this anymore." All Yachi could do was watch as her soulmate walked away.
Letting her go was a mistake, Yachi thought, how did I even end up in this mess? It's my fault, isn't it. It's all my fault!
I just wanted to help...
"Kiyoko-san, are you okay?" Yachi had asked, not knowing if Kiyoko needed her, but she seemed...off.
She didn't look so good...
"I'm...fine Hitoka-chan. Just some family matters. Just...leave me alone. Please."
"Do you need someone to talk to?"
"Leave me alone!"
"O-okay...sorry Kiyoko-san..."
Who can help me now?
Yuu walked drowsily to the gym after changing, he was definitely not a morning person.
"Nishinoya-san!" Yachi ran up to him and took a second to catch her breath. "Please, I need help! Me and Kiyoko got into a fight and now we're not talking anymore and I don't know what to do!" Noya was taken aback, but the emotional stress in Kiyoko's life must be going through the roof. After all, she had already lost someone dear to her, and now another was about to go too. "Just...I don't know, apologize and talk to her!"
Yachi stopped for a moment. "That makes sense," she mumbled. "Thank you so much Nishinoya-kun!" Yachi waved goodbye as she ran off.
"No problem..." he muttered and continued his walk to the gym.
Both of the managers were late to morning practice that day, but they showed no animosity towards each other and even displayed signs of affection, so Noya guessed that his advice worked.
I want my problem to be fixed with a single word of advice and a simple apology. Sadly, it's not that easy.
My mistake isn't mine to make.
After practice that afternoon, Nishinoya stumbled out of the changing room even more tired than usual for some reason. His entire body felt like it was weighed down with lead. As he dragged his feet, each step taking more and more effort, he bumped his head on his boyfriend's chest. "Woah there," he said, "You okay?" "Fine." Noya mumbled.
"Okay, even I won't fall for that."
"I am!"
"You're practically sleepwalking."
"..."
"C'mon, I'll walk you home."
"Fine."
"Don't act like you don't want me to," Asahi said, and scooped Noya up bridal style. He was a little embarrassed, sure, but it felt nice to be held like that.
And he was really tired...
There were 16 days left in May.
Being in Asahi's arms, those 16 days seemed to grow a little longer.
