~meanwhile with Goth~

It had been four hours. Four excruciating hours of pain for poor Goth.

Geno had taken an hour longer before but that didn't matter.

It was over.

Goth was done having kids. She was never- even though she would happily do it again -letting Palette anywhere near herself with his thing out. Never mind letting him near her during a heat.

But when the hospital staff handed her a beautiful baby bones with closed eye sockets. Goth knew she loved the little one with all her soul. She wondered what Palette would do if he knew she had a child.

Geno and Reaper entered after sometime had past. Reaper grinning like a madman and Geno looking at Goth with worry.

Goth smiled tiredly at them as she kept the baby bones laying against her ribcage wrapped in a blue blanket. She was laying on a hospital bed in one of those patient gowns with a nice warm blanket wrapped around her lower body.

Geno approached first while Reaper took a seat in one of the chairs scattered about the hospital room. Geno cupped Goth's cheeks and leaned in to kiss her forehead. She looked down at the baby bones in Goth's arms and smiled gently, "He's beautiful Goth." Geno murmured as to not disturb the baby bones.

Goth smiled as she rubbed the baby bones back, "He is beautiful." She stared down at the baby with such adoration and love.

Reaper who was quiet decided to speak, "Goth, what are you going to name him?" He asked as he leaned back and slouched in the chair he was occupying.

"Well, thinking of Palette and what his name means. I want to name my child- our child, Pastel."

"Why Pastel?" Reaper asked.

"Because I believe he'll be one of the softest most understanding monsters in this world."

A gentle smile danced on Reapers lips, "I guess I won't have to scold you for choosing a God awful name then."

Goth giggles while Geno's eye socket twitched, "Goth could I?" Geno held out her hands, her eye light brimming with excitement. She seemed to want to hold little Pastel.

"Of course momma." Goth unwrapped the protective hold she unknowingly had on the child and handed him to Geno who held him against her summoned ecto body that you could just barely make out under her clothing.

Reaper stood up and walked over to Geno. He wrapped his arms around her as he stared down at his new grandchild. His soul swelled with love for his family. He wouldn't let anyone hurt them n o o n e.

Raven suddenly 'popped' into the hospital room looking panicked as she scanned her surroundings. Once she spotted Goth laying on the hospital bed she did a little skip over to the bed as she looked Goth over, "Why wasn't I told that you were going to the hospital? Much less leaving the house?" She asked.

"Mom and Dad forgot you three were in the house." Goth stated as both Reaper and Geno flushed blue and red.

Raven sighed, "Well Xahji and Shino went out to that play before you guys even left and I just finished my homework."

"It took you four hours to do homework?" Goth raised a boney brow at her.

"Hey, when you have advanced science it tends to be more difficult then you think."

"Touché" Goth grinned, still very much tired.

"You should sleep." Raven stated.

"You should stay with me." Goth stated.

"Wha- No! You will be more comfortable without me here. The same thing goes for Mom and Dad." Raven glances at Geno and Reaper who were too engrossed in the new child to even know what was being said.

Goth sighed as she grabbed Raven's wrist effectively pulling Raven into the hospital bed with herself.

Raven squeaked and flushed violet as she was being cuddled by her big sister who instantly fell asleep.

Reaper snickered and whispered something to Geno whose skull became engulfed in crimson. He kissed Geno's neck who squeaked and tried to shuffle away from her husband. It didn't work.

Geno shooed and whacked at Reaper who- finally -retreated to his chair once again. There was a small crib in the room so Geno put the child in there.

Shino eventually entered the room with a small piece of paper in hand.

Reaper eyed him with suspicion but didn't comment on it.

Geno had taken a seat next to Reaper who was being annoyingly clingy. That could only mean one thing and Geno hoped it wasn't the case. Especially not now of all times when one of their children needed them the most.

Shino sat down next to Reaper seeming unable to comprehend something.

"Something wrong Shino?" Reaper asked.

"What does it mean when someone gives you their number?" Shino didn't even answer Reaper. He just asked him a question.

Reaper blinked at Shino, "That normally means they want to get to know you. Or they like you in some way." He responded while he remained as close to Geno as possible.

Shino seemed deep in thought as he stared at the number in front of him. Eventually he took out his phone and started typing while looking from his phone the paper.

Reaper shook his head and decided to kiss Geno's hand.

Geno's eye socket twitched again.

Reaper repeated the action only to get a very annoyed Geno who wasn't having it, "Reaper, stop."

"But hunny!~" Reaper whined which earned a flick to the skull from Geno.

Shino leaned away from his parents since they started being weird again and just continued to type on his phone.

Mom: Shino what di...

Pervert Dad: listen jus...

Bird: What is m...

Shino clicked on 'Add Contact'.

Name: Radier

Shino clicked on 'New Conversation' after Radier's contact was added.

Shino: Hey, this is Shino. This is your number right?

He waited a few moments and she responded.

Radier: I was beginning to think you would never text me.

Shino: it's only been an hour.

Radier: Normally monsters text me right when they leave.

Shino: I don't normally text anyone other then my family.

Radier: why not?

Shino: don't have friends.

Radier: make friends.

Shino: Everyone avoids my family like the plague. Other then Xahji. Xahji's a special case.

Radier: whose Xahji?

Shino: my twin.

~meanwhile with Xahji~

Snazzy had dragged Xahji out of the forest- By Xahji's directions of course -and over to the school.

Apparently she had a game and wanted Xahji to watch.

Xahji wasn't over the moon about it but would support his girlfriend...?

Snazzy never commented as to wether or not they were a thing. All she said was, "Game. Now." And Xahji followed.

Xahji was sitting in bleachers as he watched Snazzy skid over the wooden floor of the gymnasium. Snazzy was enchanting as she used her body in ways he only imagined were painful. But no, Snazzy was a force to be reckoned with on the field and everyone knew it.

Snazzy jumped and scored a fifth basket and the crowd went wild while Xahji just sat silently and smirked. Snazzy looked into the crowd as her chest heaved in a rhythmic pattern. Her eyes meet Xahji's and she smiled when she noticed he was watching her and no one else.

The whistle blew and Snazzy got back into position with renewed determination knowing someone was watching her. Knowing Xahji wasn't like other guys and would just watch over talking to girls who might approached him.

Xahji took out his phone and glanced at it only to do a double take when he saw Raven had sent a rather longly worded message. Basically stating to get his ass over to the hospital as soon as possible. He groaned when he realized he would have to leave.

Not knowing what else to do Xahji 'popped' down to Snazzy who had been given a break. Snazzy squeaked when she turned around to see her very sexily smirking secret towering over her frame.

"X-Xahji what are y-you doing down here?" She stuttered as her cheeks flushed green.

"I need to leave. Raven told me to go to the hospital." Xahji explained.

Snazzy frowned, "Let me come with you." She stated.

Xahji raised a boney brow at her in amusement, "What about your game?"

She shrugged, "There are other games. Plus your the first guy who I've wanted to stay but had come down to tell me you needed to leave."

"If I said this is a family only matter?" Xahji questioned.

Snazzy grumbled under her breath, "Then I'll stay here." Her eye lights roamed his face looking for any sign that Xahji wanted her with him.

Xahji shrugged, "If you want to come then tell your coach and get changed." He smiled at her.

Her eye sockets widened in excitement and she sped off and quickly came back all changed.

Xahji held out his hand and Snazzy instantly took it. He 'popped' them in front of the hospital doors but had to catch Snazzy since the teleportation made her dizzy and off balanced. He chuckled, "That happens to everyone accept for Dad, me, Shino, and Goth if they teleport twice in the same day with our magic."

Snazzy groaned, "Warn me next time asshole." As she steadied herself.

Xahji kept her balanced as she regained her footing. They walked into the hospital with Snazzy attached to his arm.

Snazzy glanced around and was surprised to see such a clean tiny hospital with barely anyone in it.

Walking up to the counter Xahji greeted the middle aged deer women, "Diana, I'm looking for my ever elusive sister Raven."

Snazzy was a little surprised that Xahji knew this women by name. She wondered what his story was with this place.

Diana chuckled, "My, I never would have thought I would see more then four births from the Afterdeath family. They're in room 8 on the second floor." She explained as she continued typing on her computer.

Xahji grinned, "Thanks Dia!" He pushed away from the counter with Snazzy in toe as he lead her through the hospital as if he had been here hundreds of times.

Before they were out of hearing range they heard Diana shout, "Just don't call me that in front of my husband!"

Xahji chuckle and Snazzy have him a confused stare, "Xahji, how many times have you been here?" She noticed the patch on his eye but hadn't asked why he had it.

Xahji shrugged, "Never really counted. There was the time when Goth and Raven got hurt. The times when Geno had seizures and she had to be transported by an ambulance. Times when Geno had several surgeries. All of this done free of charge since we are constant visitors."

"Your Mom is that sick?" Snazzy felt bad for Xahji.

Xahji shrugged again, "She was born with an illness and isn't used to having someone around." He paused as they got on an elevator, "One of her eye lights had to be covered up because the light from both eyes was causing more seizures. But once it was covered she stopped having most of them." He rolled his shoulders as if it was hard to talk about, "Her illness also causes her to have bursting pains in and around her rib cage. The doctors have no treatment for it so she has to live with it ever so often."

"Is that why you..." Snazzy trailed off. She didn't want to ask but she felt like she had too.

"I have the same illness as my Mom. Only the bursting pains in the chest are absent. They had to cover the same eye because of the same problem, seizures." Xahji rolled his shoulders again.

"Oh." Was all Snazzy was able to say.

They hit the second floor and the door opened. Xahji walked through with Snazzy still attached to his arm as they made their way down the hall to room 8.

"Does anyone else in your family..." She trailed off again.

Xahji guessing her question answered, "Mom, Shino, and I are the only ones to have the same illness. It isn't really the same with Shino though, no bursting chest pains and no seizures. But the doctors did find the illness in him, they just think it's dormant."

Snazzy nodded seeming deep in thought then Goth not having an eye light hit her, "Wait what about Goth? She doesn't have an eye light."

Xahji chuckled, "You do realize our Dad doesn't normally have eye lights right? Goth was just born without one. You seem interested in my family for some reason Snazzy."

Snazzy flushed green, "W-Well I have always been curious. I just never got the chance to ask."

"Well you can ask my entire family now if you want." Xahji had stopped in front of a door that had the number 8 on it.

Snazzy froze. She knew what to expect when going with Xahji but it didn't occur to her that she would be meeting the God Of Death right off the bat. Hearing he's ruthless and unrelenting lead many to fear him. Unconsciously tightening her arms around Xahji's arm he stopped mid turn.

Xahji let go of the nob and gently pet Snazzy's skull, "Snazzy?" He called out gently. Knowing this would happen to anyone who knew the rumors of their father.

Snazzy blinked and her eye lights snapped up to his one.

Xahji put his hand on her cheek in a comforting manner, "Snazzy he isn't going to do anything. He doesn't hurt innocent people."

Snazzy stared, looking for any sign that he might be lying but she found none. She sighed and nodded.

Xahji gave her a little grin, "If you really need too then you can kill my arm like you always try to do."

Snazzy swatted at him, "Just open the damn door already."

And with that the door flew open, literally.

Xahji glanced around the room and found Raven and Goth in the same hospital bed sound asleep. Reaper was clinging onto Geno who looked ready to kill him. Shino was texting surprisingly.

Walking inside Snazzy visibly relaxed in seeing nothing hostile or threatening coming from Reaper.

Xahji walked over to a chair on the other side of Geno and sat Snazzy down in it.

Snazzy squeaked making Shino jump while Reaper and Geno snickered.

Xahji had a cheeky grin on his face as he sat down beside Snazzy. Snazzy's glare being more playful then threatening.

Geno sighed heavily as Reaper tried to get as close as possible to her, "Reaper not now."

"But Geno!~" Reaper whined.

"We have a guest Reaper! So shut up before I decide on the best weapon to impale you with."

"You already tried that with a whisk, a shoe, a toaster, a pen, a pencil, a bone, pillows, and a kitchen knife. Should I continue.~" Reaper asked cheekily.

Geno's eye socket twitched, "Have I tried a hospital chair yet?"

"Seventeen times.~" Reaper lightly teased.

Snazzy stared in shock at Xahji's mother and father and how non threatening Reaper was being.

Xahji took Snazzy's hand in his and she looked at him, "You'll get used to it Snazzy."

Reaper stared at his son and sighed, "Xahji we're moving in three weeks."

Both Shino and Xahji looked at their father as if he was crazy. In unison like the twins they are they replied with, "Are you crazy?"

Shino spoke first before Xahji, "Dad we've grown up here our whole lives!"

Xahji spoke after Shino, "Goth has a job here and Raven is still in school with Shino an me."

Geno spoke up, "Ink is planning on taking the thrown and enslaving all Gods, even Demigods. If the Gods don't listen then they will be massacred."

Everyone fell silent, even Snazzy who seemed crestfallen.

Surprisingly Goth spoke, "I suppose you've spoken with the king." Her voice was groggy and slightly scratchy.

"I have Goth, you don't have to worry." Reaper reassured.

"Wait why are you guys here? Why is Goth in a hospital bed?" Snazzy questioned.

A smiling Geno stood as she went over to the small crib- that Snazzy completely ignored -and reached inside. When she turned around Snazzy looked ready to faint.

"S-Sh- Goth you had a kid?" Snazzy looked at Goth who looked almost sheepish.

"I got pregnant while on the job with Palette." Goth explained as vaguely as possible.

Snazzy just stared at her with widened eyes, "Did you.."

Goth flushed violet as she took the baby bones from Geno, "I d-did."

Raven was tucked into Goth's side still sound asleep.

Snazzy just stared at Goth in disbelief while Goth rubbed her sisters back with on hand as she held the baby with her free arm.

Geno walked back over to Reaper to sit down next to him but he had other plans. Reaper pulled Geno onto his lap making her squeak while he nuzzled his skull in the crook of her neck.

Xahji, Shino, and Goth rolled their eye sockets while Snazzy flushed green.

Shino turned his attention from his phone to Goth, "So when are you ready to leave?"

Goth shrugged, "When the doctors say I'm good to go."

Shino yawned as he put away his phone, "It's 9:30 so I'm sleeping." He curled up in his chair.

Snazzy blinked at Shino in disbelief, "I don't think that's comfortable." She stated.

Xahji snickered, "Snazzy, we basically live in this hospital, since we've been here so much."

Snazzy snapped her gaze to his in a playful glare, "Sleeping in a chair is still not comfy. I'd rather sleep on a bed."

"Or a person." Xahji whispered as he pointed to Geno and Reaper.

Reaper had kept Geno on his lap as he pet her skull. Geno had fallen asleep on him and he wasn't complaining. It let him hold her close without any backlash.

The door opened and Diana walked in looking as cheerful as always to the Afterdeath family.

Diana kept to herself as she checked on Goth quietly. She also checked on the baby which looked healthy, "It seems you two are doing just fine. You can leave in the morning." She backed away from Goth and went over to Reaper, "Geno needs to come in for a checkup." She smiles knowingly.

Reaper flushes blue, "I-I didn't mean for it to happen this time!" He said quickly and quietly.

Diana smirked, "That's what my husband said when we had our first child. With the second child he just sighed in excited disappointment."

Reaper glares at Diana, "I feel bad for your husband."

Diana scoffed, "I feel bad for Geno." She smirked as she turned away from him.

Reaper sighed and looked down only to smile and cuddle his sleeping peacefully Geno.

Diana went over to Xahji and crouched down in front of him, "Hey Xahji."

Snazzy felt him tense since he had her hand in his, "H-Hey Diana." Xahji stuttered.

Diana smiled sadly at Xahji, "I know you hate it but we have to see if we can remove that patch so you can see with both eyes again."

Xahji groaned, "Why can't you just leave it on like you do with Geno?"

"Because Geno is older then you and we want to try to get you seeing through both eyes while you're still young." Diana patted Xahji's leg, "Come on we will do it now while you're here." She stood and went over to the door.

Xahji let out a long heavy sigh before getting up with effort and headed over to Diana who now had the door opened.

Snazzy was tempted to get up but decided against it. She crossed one leg over the other as Xahji and Diana left the room. Glancing at a seemingly peaceful Reaper she decided to attempt to start a conversation with him, "E-Excuse me Mr.Reaper." She stuttered.

Reaper looked at her and gave her a toothy grin, "You need something Snazzy?" He asked.

"I just wanted to ask you a few questions." She fiddled with her thumbs.

"Those questions are?"

"Why did you leave the Royal Guard?"

Reaper was silent for a time as he took one of Geno's limp hands in his, "I left because that life didn't suit me anymore. Geno had me feeling more alive then anything on the battle field." He answered still seeming deep in thought.

"So it wasn't because you loved her?" Snazzy pressed.

Reaper shook his head, "I always loved Geno. It was when I got her pregnant that I decided that I would support her with everything I had. Geno is.. She's my everything. If I ever lose her then this world will turn to dust." His tone dipped at the end.

Snazzy shrunk away, "S-Sorry." She squeaked quietly.

Reaper chuckled darkly, "I apologize. Any other questions?" He looked at Snazzy who relaxed slightly.

"I-Is there anyway Xahji can stay?" Snazzy knew what she was asking was next to impossible but she'd thought she'd ask anyways.

Reaper decided to give her a little hope, "The only way he would be able to stay is if Ink fails in his plans to enslave Gods."

Hope sparked in Snazzy's eye sockets just as Xahji came back holding his head.

Xahji groaned and he flopped in the chair next to Snazzy.

Snazzy looked Xahji over, "You look like shit." Her bluntness didn't go unnoticed by Reaper who chuckled.

"I feel like shit." Xahji responded.

"Get some sleep then." Snazzy poked his cheek.

"Then stop poking me." Xahji swatted at her.

"But it's fun." Snazzy smirked and poked him again.

"Fun doesn't result in sleep." Xahji grumbled as he curled up in his chair.

Snazzy huffed but left Xahji alone to sleep. She stood and stretched and noticed Goth beckoning her over. Walking over, Goth held up her child to Snazzy.

"Could you put him in the crib over there?" She asked tiredly.

Snazzy hesitantly took the child from Goth who smiled reassuringly at her and slowly walked over to to crib.

The baby cooed and held his little hands up in a grabbing motion, his little eye sockets still closed.

Snazzy flushed green but couldn't keep her eyes off the cooing child. When she stood in front of the crib she gently put the child in, the child quickly falling into a deep slumber. Standing there for a moment Snazzy thought of her family, her brothers, her passed away mother, and the father that was always drunk.

She glanced at Goth to see she had fallen asleep then her gaze returned to the child. Snazzy knew Goth would never abuse her child. Not in this world or any other. Tears welt up in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away.

A sigh was heard and a voice quietly cut through the silence, "Snazzy, why did you come here?" Snazzy had forgotten Reaper was still awake.

Whipping around she stared at him wide eyed, "U-Uh, n-no reason!" She stuttered. Truth was she wanted to get away from her house for a while. Away from her abusive father since her brothers were out camping this week.

Reaper chuckled, "If I didn't know any better then I would assume you were fine." He eyed her in an attempt to figure out why she went with Xahji instead of staying wherever they were.

Snazzy shrunk away feeling like she was being judged. She didn't want pitying stares let alone to tell that her father was a drunk that didn't love her or her brothers enough to even take care of them properly.

Without thinking twice Snazzy bolted to the door thinking she was quicker then Reaper. She was only able to open the door slightly before it slammed back closed by a boney hand.

The slam woke everyone up with a few groans but it soon quieted once more.

Snazzy flinched and didn't dare look up at the looming figure that was Reaper. In a way Reaper reminded her of her father and how handsy he could get. She shuddered.

The shudder didn't go unknowist by Reaper as he crouched down and turned Snazzy towards him.

Geno got up with sleepy legs, walking over to her husband and the teen, "Reaper what's wrong?" Reaper wouldn't normally do this unless he felt it was serious.

Reaper gestured towards Snazzy as she was desperately wiping tears away.

Geno's motherly instincts kicked in even though Snazzy wasn't her child, "Snazzy, what wrong sweetheart?" Embracing Snazzy, Geno cuddled the now quietly crying teen.

Reaper stood and sighed. Glancing around the room at his family who looked worried for the teen, he decided to ask an easy question since it seemed Goth's child is what originally made Snazzy sad, "Snazzy, where are your parents?"

Geno felt Snazzy stiffen and she frowned, "Snazzy, your alright. You can tell us what's making you so upset." She reassured in an attempt to get Snazzy comfortable.

Snazzy gripped onto Geno as she shook her head. It wasn't like she didn't want to tell them. But she couldn't bare to separate herself and her brothers from one another. She hiccuped and sniffed all the while Geno swayed in a gentle motion in another attempt to calm Snazzy and maybe get her to talk.

Goth was tempted to get up but Raven held her close while shaking her head. Reaves didn't want Goth to strain herself.

Shino was surprisingly tempted to get up since Snazzy was one of his classmates. He may not know her well but he knew her well enough that she almost never cried. When she did it was only when she was laughing.

Xahji got up and was tempted to go over but Reaper held up a hand signaling for Xahji to stop. He reluctantly complied as he watched Snazzy.

Snazzy continued to softly cry. Geno's embrace felt like her mothers but she couldn't even remember what her own mother looked like. Her father always being drunk and mostly off his rocker, had destroyed most of her pictures in an angry rage.

Eventually after a few minutes Snazzy started talking. She needed to tell someone, anyone. Feeling like the Afterdeath family would listen even a little bit. Maybe even help.

Snazzy spilled everything. Her father's neglect, the abuse, how long it had been going on, if it's still going on now.

Geno moved them back over to the chairs and sat down while holding Snazzy in her lap. Snazzy just clung to Geno as if she would remove all the pain.

Snazzy at the moment had the Afterdeath families full attention.

Reaper had his arms crossed with an unreadable expression.

Goth was horrified and was tempted to retrieve her child but was stopped by a fuming Raven who had her arms wrapped tightly around Goth's waist.

Shino was deep in thought while trying to process the information his classmate just gave.

Xahji gritted his teeth. He along with everyone in his family had seen children no older then three being abused. Let's just say those parents didn't their child ever again.

Hated for monsters abusing others had been rooted for a while within the Afterdeath families souls. Officially sparking with Ink. Geno and Reaper have had enough with this kingdom and its people.

Geno rubbed Snazzy's back in a soothing rhythm, slowly coaxing Snazzy to sleep. But Snazzy refused knowing if she did go to sleep then her nightmares would start again. So Geno laid Snazzy's skull against her chest.

Snazzy had stopped crying but the tears still fell. She could hear Geno's soul beating in a rhythmic pattern like it was a silent song. As she slowly started to fall asleep she struggled feebly in Geno's embrace which had Geno chuckle sadly. Soon she did fall into a a light slumber.
