(A/N: last chapter was about (Y/N) so Gladion is the main focus this time)

 Gladion was sitting down in Poni Medow, it wasn't anything special, he just sat there waiting for the grunts to come out. Guzlord (forgive me if that is spelled incorrectly) was the last of the ultra beasts. Guzma wanted every Ultra beast captured, for reasons he wouldn't explain, and sent Gladion to make sure the mission went well. 'It still amazes me that the grunts could catch the other ultra beasts.' Gladion thought as he instinctively pet Type:Null. Just then a scream came out of the cave just above him. Gladion stood up as a grunt ran out of the cave, beat up and battery with his clothes torn. "You scream like a girl." Gladion said coldly "Yo we need your help in there man!" The grunt shouted. At least it wasn't as boring as sitting out there "come on Null." Gladion said as he dashed deep into the cave. More screams filled the cave along with the sound of fighting Pokemon. As Gladion reached the area the screams came from, his eyes widened at the scene before him. The giant Ultra beast had one of the grunts hanging over its wide open mouth, and no matter how many attacks the grunts threw at Guzlord it wouldn't put him down. "Ok, are you all idiots?!" Gladion yelled " Don't attack it's arm or it will drop him. I'll handle the grunt, you guys attack the rest of the body!" The grunts nodded and redirected their attacks to the body of the beast. "Ok Null! Use X-Scissor!" Gladion shouted. Type: Null jumped up and used X-Scissor on the arm holding the grunt. This caused it to let go and Type: Null grabbed the grunt and landed safely on the ground. "Ok guys try to catch it now!" Gladion shouted Beast balls flew through the air and soon the Ultra beast was caught.

 With the mission done Gladion wanted to go home but orders where that he had to go back to Po Town with the grunts. As they entered the Mansion the grunts gave the Beast Balls to Gladion and he started up the stairs. Before he entered Guzma's room however he heard Guzma and Plumeria talking. "You sure you want to do this boss?" Plumeria asked in a somewhat flat tone. "100% sure, the whole region will know just how strong we are." "Taking the whole region by force seems a bit exesive though, don't you think?" "Nope." "Alright then boss." Plumeria's voice became closer to the door and Gladion opened it and came in. 'It be best to pretend I didn't just hear that.' He thought as he entered "Gladion your back." Guzma said happily "Do you have them?" Gladion nodded and gave Guzma the beast balls then left.
