That night, after Star ate, jack was pacing around the deck. He was nervous to tell her. Gibbs looked at Jack and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You'll be fine captain..." he said reassuringly.

Jack looked at him and nodded nervously before walking into the cabin. What he saw made his heart soar, with a tinge of nervousness.

Star was out of bed, leaning against the wall for support. But she was walking on her own. It was slow but she was getting better.

He walked towards her and gently placed his hands on her shoulders, helping her balance. "You're walking on your own. I'm so proud of you."

She gave him a soft smile before wincing in pain. She still needed to be careful.

"Come on..." he slowly led her to the bed and sat her down before sitting down beside her. "Star... can I tell you something?"

He had never been so nervous in his life. But he needed to tell her.

She looked at him and nodded. "Yes..."

Jack moved her hair out of her gorgeous before taking a deep breath.

"When I saw you in the ocean, hurt and not moving, I felt a strange feeling in my heart. I didn't know what it was. But I wanted to help you. I couldn't just leave you there. I wanted to help you recover. To protect you and to keep you safe. I know we just met and it may sound weird, but I've fallen in love with you."

Happy tears filled stars eyes. Before jack could say anything else, star cut him off by saying.

"I've fallen in love with you too jack. I'm so grateful for your help and I don't see myself with any one else."

Jack felt his heart fill with love for this woman. He didn't want her for her body. He wanted to keep her safe and happy. To love her with all his heart and soul.

He gently cupped her cheek in his hand before closing his eyes and leaning in. He softly pressed his lips against hers, which were soft and warm. Sparks went off inside both of them As star gently rested a hand on his chest, the other one on the side of his neck.

Their lips moved in sync as jack traced her bottom lip with his tongue, asking for entrance. She slightly opened her mouth and slid her tongue into his mouth. It was absolutely magical.

They slowly pulled away and jack rested his forehead against hers, his fingers running through her hair.

"I love you jack..."

She closed her eyes as jack kissed the bridge of her nose twice.

"I love you too my darling..."

They were truly in love.
