The next day, star and jack returned to the ship. Star still couldn't believe he proposed.

The ocean seemed to sparkle. It had a beautiful glow. Star smiled softly as she closed her eyes a moment, jack resting his chin on her shoulder.

Tears suddenly filled stars eyes, which jack noticed. He frowned sadly as she turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck. Tears were starting to slowly down her cheeks.

"Why are you crying?"

Jack led her to the cabin and walked inside before closing the door. They needed privacy.

Star and jack sat on the bed, jack gently rubbing her back.

"Honey... what's the matter?"

She sniffled and chuckled through crying. "Nothing is wrong my love. I-I still can't believe you proposed to me last night."

Jack gently lifted her chin and looked into her blue eyes. He felt tears fill his eyes as he cupped her cheek in his hand.

"I proposed to you because I truly love you. I don't see myself spending my life with anybody else. You're the only woman I love and I don't want anything to happen to you..."

Star looked into his brown eyes and smiled through tears. They truly loved each other. They couldn't live their lives without each other.

Jack gently picked her up and sat her down on his lap. She tucked her head under his chin as he caressed the back of her head, rocking her back and forth.

"Don't cry my love... it hurts me when you cry..." he whispered as she sniffled.

He kissed her forehead before resting his cheek on top of her head. Tears of love poured down their cheeks. He closed his eyes as he held her close to his chest.

"I love you dear..." she whispered as more tears fell down her cheeks.

Jacks fingertips traced her spine slowly as his other hand slowly rubbed her knee.

"I love you too my angel. I promise to love you now and forever."
