When I was 13 my dad made me take geography lessons. Not normal geography about the different countries and volcanoes and stuff, but geography regarding the packs and where in the world they were.

Leoni my lovely teacher, with long straight blonde hair and who always dressed impeccably, would stand behind the glass wall with a giant blackboard behind her and sketch out the different packs and their territory lines. A complete shame that it didn't help me avoid this current situation.

Leoni taught me that around my pack there were at least three other packs. There was the Cresent Moon pack which was my pack and then there was the Eclipse Pack on the south side run by Alpha Cain and then up North was the Blood Lust pack run by Alpha Abel, and despite the terrifying pack name they were some of the nicest people ever.

I had met Alpha Abel and his mate Luna Natalia on my eighteenth birthday and they were just wonderful.

Finally the last pack Leoni mentioned was the Red Moon pack. It's funny because I still remember the fear in her voice as she mentioned the name. She was reluctant to explain much about them but had mentioned it was run by a young Alpha called Zachary Stone. The only other information I vaguely remember learning was that the Red Moon pack was unlike other packs. In fact it was a pack made up of rogues. This was something completely unheard of at the time and everyone had believed within months the pack would have broken up. The thing with rogues, I remember Leoni saying, is that they don't have loyalty and they hate being told what to do. Therefore of course a pack of rogues would never last long.

However, it had been over thirteen years and over those years the pack had only tripled in size. It went from being considered a joke to being a serious threat. Other packs became worried; I remember my father setting up extra security and increasing pack training. It became clear quite quickly that the Red Moon pack was one not to be messed with.

And perhaps that's why my father hesitated to reach over and rip Alpha Stone's throat out. I knew he wanted to, I mean I could feel my father's anger roll off him in waves, but I could also sense him reeling back his wolf and trying to think logically.

"Alpha Stone," my father started respectfully but before he could say anything more Alpha Stone interrupted.

"This is non negotiable Alpha Kronex. You either hand me your daughter and leave my territory or I forcefully take your daughter, slit her throat in front of you and declare a war on your pack. Make your decision wisely."

My father let out a roar so ferocious I swear my heart stopped for a moment. Some of Alpha Stone's men took a step back only to stop from a piercing glare from their own Alpha.

However Alpha Stone didn't even blink. He stood so tall and serene it was almost as if my father was a little puppy barking.

Alpha Stone's gaze fell to me. There was something in his eyes that sent a chill through me. It was feral and totally animalistic.

"Dad, please put me down," I pleaded, mostly because his elongated nails were starting to dig into my skin. His eyes were so dark when they looked down at me I wondered if he was even listening to me, but after a second he placed me on the ground gently but pushed me behind him so I was out of Alpha Stone's sight.

I saw Gemma who looked so white I thought she might pass out any moment. She caught my eyes and hers started to brim with tears.

"I am so sorry," she mouthed as a tear rolled down her cheek.

I shook my head in reply.

"It's not your fault," I mouthed back.

Before I could even react I was pushed across the room with so much force I ended up sprawled up against the wall. Gemma screams as my father punches one of Alpha Stone's men across the face while kicking another one across the room. Beside him my mother reaches up and snaps the head off a man standing next to her. Roars and screaming erupt as my parents fight off attacks. If it had been in any other situation, time or place it would have been an incredible experience to see my parents work as one. They were so powerful, so agile, so fast. Around them bodies dropped to the floor like flies.

I searched the room for Alpha Stone and I found him, standing amidst it all. He didn't move a muscle; in fact his eyes were locked on me and slowly he made his way toward me. I was scared, there's no point lying, I was terrified. This man was a beast, even sharing eye contact with him sent a chill through me, let alone if he even touched me.

His eyes did not leave me, and I backed up against the wall trying so hard to disappear. My parents were too busy fighting they didn't even realise that Alpha Stone was now standing right in front of me.

There was nothing gentle or kind about him and as he crouched down in front of me, my whole body started shaking.

In an attempt to protect me, Gemma jumped at the Alpha, but he swatted her away like she was some annoying little mosquito. I gasped, daring only to shift my eyes slightly to see Gemma knocked out on the other side of the room.

Alpha Stone was still watching me, his eyes black as coal and he roamed my face taking in everything and then with no warning pulled me up by my shirt and turned me around and held me against his chest. It was the weirdest thing ever, the sense of safety being held in his arms, especially when he held out his hand, elongated his nails and then held it up to my neck. Oh shit.

"Enough!" growled my captor.

I heard a cry and then suddenly there was no sound in the room. It was so eerily quiet I was forced to look up and my heart broke at the sight.

Both my parents, my ever so powerful and dignified parents were on their knees, surrendering in front of Alpha Stone.

Kneeling in front of someone always signifies weakness. It's a statement made to say "you win, I lose." But when an Alpha and a Luna kneel in front of someone it means something so much more. As power heads of a pack it means that it's not just them two kneeling, it's the whole pack. It signifies the pack as weak, it's basically the end of Crescent Moon Pack. They were giving up everything... for me.

Tears overflow from my eyes but I'm frozen to the spot as I watch my parents tilt their heads to the side giving Alpha Stone the chance to rip out their throats if he wishes.

"Get up!" I scream, my tears soaking my face. The sight of my powerful parents submitting killed me more than anything. "Get up!!" I scream again.

Alpha Stone takes a menacing step forward and pushes me forward with him.

"I warned you," he states simply as his nails trace my neck.

"No!" my mother cries and my father's eyes are wet too.

"I will give you a choice then," Alpha Stone says in a generous tone, "you or her." He digs his nails into my skin and I can feel the wet trail of my blood.

"Us," both my parents say in unison, with not a moment of hesitation.

"Take us, but please don't touch my daughter," my mother pleads and my heart tightens so much I think it might shatter any minute.

Alpha Stone sighs in resignation. "Very well then," he replies, letting go of me and menacingly walking towards my parents.

"No!" I scream out loud and I run in front and crouch over my parents. My mother is crying but she tries to push me aside but I hold on tighter.

I turn to the Alpha and grab his feet, ignoring a sharp almost electrical shock that shoots through my arm. This is another cardinal rule that I have broken - never touch an Alpha without permission. It's a death sentence. But I'm desperate and I grab his legs and look up at him, my eyes blurry with tears.

"I surrender! I surrender! I'll stay and be punished but please, please," I beg, "let my parents go."

I couldn't see what his expression was as my eyes were so blurry but I could make out his face contort with anger. He was furious and for a second I wondered if I would die before I could even save my parents.

"Let go," he said, his voice hateful.

I held on tighter.

"Let go!!" he yelled with a roar and my hands shot away from his legs.

Alpha Stone took a step back, blinking fast his eyes changing from black to grey. He was having a tough time controlling his wolf.

My mother grabbed my arm and squeezed it so tight I thought she might break it.

"What have you done?!" she screamed and it made me flinch. My mother had never raised her voice at me all my life.

"Mum-" I started but she didn't let me finish.

"Don't you understand that there is no life for me or your father without you. How could you be so recklessly? How could you surrender?" My mother burst into tears, rage still in her eyes. Her grip on me loosened and she grabbed me and pulled me into a hug.

"I can't lose you Eve." She cries and I snuggle into her body.

Fourteen years I had dreamed of hugging my mother freely. To smell her, to feel her warmth. Fourteen years and this was not how I imagined to be doing it. Not on the cold hard floor of a medical room in the Red Moon pack where I was going to become a prisoner.

My father was quiet, his eyes defeated, his posture deflated. No longer did he look like the prideful, strong Alpha he always was. And it was all because of me.

I reached out to him but before I could even touch him I was pulled away so harshly I thought I got whiplash.

A big burly man with cold eyes held me tightly with a grip on my upper arm. He was basically holding my whole weight up with just one arm but he showed no expression. He simply held me tight and looked straight ahead.

"Take her away," Alpha Stone finally commanded and my eyes went wide.

"No, no, no. Please!! Mum! Dad!! Please..." I begged as I tried to pull away back to my parents who were both struggling against the men holding them down. Two men held my mother down, pushing her against the floor while four men struggled to keep my father down. My parents locked eyes with me as I was taken away, their eyes helpless.

In the struggle I didn't even get to see Gemma.

I cried the whole way to the basement. I begged the man holding me to say goodbye to my parents. I cried and I screamed and I struggled against him but it was completely futile. The man held me simply as if I was a little child throwing a tantrum.

I was crying so much I didn't even see where I was being taken until I was shoved into what could only be described as a cage. The iron bars were rusty and the floor was wet with moss. There was a putrid smell in the air and it was complete and utter darkness. The only light was from a torch another man was holding and once I was locked up both men walked away, turning the torch off, leaving me alone in the silent darkness.
