"Ivar."

"Do not move Eva."

"Oh great, here comes the rescue party for Eva," Elaine rolled her eyes.

"Shut the hell up, you annoying brat!" Nick spoke up, "I've had it up to here with your whining and childish acts! No one invited you on this trip."

That only caused Elaine to stand more tall and defiant.

"Murderer, remember that promise I made you!" Ivar's eyes were burning a hole in her head.

That caused Elaine's whole posture to stiffen once she realised she had crossed that fine line he had set for her. All her anger at Eva was out the window now and she was scared.

Ivar turned back to Avery, who tried to look innocent in the corner of the room.

"Well, well, well," a sinister smile on Ivars face. Ivar pulled his legs in front of him so he was in a sitting position, then grabbed a dagger hidden in his leg pants. "Avery, so adamant to steal my Eva away from me."

"He wasn't..." Eva tried to cut in.

"Hush, my love," he simply said, "I am not stupid."

"Ivar, she's still single," Avery tried to reason, "If you had defined your relationship, I wouldn't have done it."

"Quit the lying, I know men like you," Ivar simply shrugged as he tossed his dagger in the air. "What can I say, I know them well because that was once me."

Ivar cocked his head at Avery as he caught his dagger, Avery visibly gulped.

"Ivar please," Eva pleaded, "Don't hurt him."

"I warned him and he would not heed the warnings."

"I know, baby, but please," Eva cried, "I'm begging you don't hurt him."

Ivar moved his focus on to Eva, tears were now spilling down her cheeks. Ivar hated being the cause of her crying but Avery had pushed him too far. Ivar's heart did soften at the affectionate name she called him. It was the first time she had ever called him by something that wasn't his name and he loved it. Considering the circumstances he couldn't help but struck up a deal to get what he wanted.

"I will only let him go unharmed if he and that whore leave us in peace for the rest our travels, and that I get to sleep with you," Ivar stated.

"Agreed!" Eva said without hesitation.

Everyone else in the room nodded in agreement as well except for Elaine.

Ivar narrowed his eyes at her, Elaine was scared of him but obviously not scared enough.

"Do you have something to say?" he said pointing his dagger at her.

"Yes, boneless handicap," Elaine shouted, "screw you! It's always about you and Eva, well guess what?! the world doesn't revolve around you two!"

"Well, my world definitely revolves around Eva," he shrugged. "Too bad you're such a jealous cold hearted bitch that no one loves you enough to do the same for you."

"AAAAAHHH," Elaine screamed, "I HATE YOU AND EVA, YOU RUIN EVERYTHING!"

Eva sobbed loudly when she heard her sister say that.  Ivar threw the dagger right at Elaine's head, it dodged her scalp but sliced off all her hair above her right ear.

Elaine grabbed her hair but it was laying at her feet.

"Get her out before I kill her," Ivar hissed as he crawled towards Eva.

No one had too, Elaine ran out of the room at her own accord in hysterics.

"Follow her Joseph, she might get lost," Nick ordered .

"Why me?" Joseph complained.

"Who bought your ticket?" Nick asked.

"Fine!" he said as he sprinted out the room.

Eva went to bed sobbing that night, Ivar comforting her as best he could. But nothing really helped, Eva wanted to have a strong relationship with her sister and she thought things were going well, they turned out worst.

Ivar hadn't seen Eva like this before, and he it hurt seeing Eva so upset. Ivar saw his brother Sigurd in Elaine and it was starting to wear out on his self-control not to kill her. Eva was a great sister to Elaine, but the ungrateful brat couldn't see past her selfish wants.

Ivar hadn't gotten much sleep, so when someone knocked on the door at seven in the morning he was not happy. Nick stepped into the room fully dressed for the day, he was an early bird but something seemed off in his posture.

"Who invited you in?" Ivar snapped, "Not even the gods are awake, get out!"

"Ivar!" worry leaked out of Nick's voice, "Joseph and Elaine didn't come back last night."

"So what?"

"I've been calling both of their cellphones and no ones picking up!" he cried. "something is wrong Ivar, Joseph would have called or text back by now."

That caused Ivar to sit up straight, he could care less about Elaine but Joseph had become an annoyingly good friend of his. He also knew that Eva would want her sister back, so he had to figure out where they would be.

"Shh, don't talk too loud, you'll wake up Eva!" he whispered.

Ivar got out of bed and started crawling toward the bedroom door, Nick hot on his heels. They went into Nicks room for some privacy.

"So you think that they've been kidnapped?" Ivar questioned.

"This place is well known for human trafficking, they sell people for prostitution, men and woman," concern was evident in his voice.

"Okay listen to me, this is the plan," authority oozing out of his voice. "Yesterday I saw people following us, I wasn't sure but now I have a good feeling it was them. I will give you descriptions of them and the car they had. I want you and Avery today to find these people and figure out where they could be holding Nick and Elaine, I will distract Eva. I don't want her to know anything that is going on. If you are able to get some good evidence that it is them you come find me. Do not try to get them without me. Also before you leave, you will need to call your paedophile uncle. We will need to be out of the country as soon as we find them if you all are to live a normal life."

"What about the police?" Nick asked

"No police"

Eva woke up late and stretched over the bed to find Ivar, but he wasn't there and the sheets were cold. Eva sighed and lay in bed a while longer before heading into the shower to get ready for the day. She was anxious to see her sister.

Once she was ready, she came out of the bathroom to find Ivar sitting on the bed with breakfast.

"Morning," he smiled, "have a good sleep?"

"It was fine."

"Eat up, today it's only going to be you and I."

"What about the others?"

"Do not worry about them, they are fine."

"Okay."

The day was filled with good memories Eva will never forget. Ivar was so sweet, he booked for a tour guide to drive them around and even to prepare a picnic basket for them. They had lunch at the top of a hill looking over the beautiful city, Ivars romantic act went to waste when Eva invited the tour guide to eat with them.

Eva was too nice and Ivar knew it.

Since it was freezing in Norway, and Ivar had never ice skated Eva chose to go ice skating for the afternoon. Ivar hated the idea, but he couldn't deny Eva's cute pout. So she ice skated while pushing him around on a training aid. Ivar's upper body strength and using crutches definitely helped as he held himself up on the training aid.

The only problem was that Ivar was so large, that she couldn't see past him, at his full height he towered over Eva. So manoeuvring around was a challenge, but it worked out well as Ivar guided her.

That night Ivar took her to a fancy restaurant, with yuck food. So they skipped out and headed back to a diner for some burgers and fries. They sat side by side in silence as they scoffed down their food. For dessert, they bought smoothies and just relaxed from their well-spent day. Eva had her head against his arm since his torso was so long she couldn't reach his shoulder. Ivar just sat there content, sipping on his smoothie.

"Thanks for today, I loved every minute of it."

"No problem, sweetcheeks."

"Do you know what I wish sometimes," she exhaled, "I wish things could always be like this, drama free, happy, no arguments, you and me taking on the world."

The right corner of Ivars mouth lifted in a side grin, "me too, beautiful," bent and kissed her head "Me too."

Eva then shifted positions so that she was staring up at his beautiful blue eyes.

"Despite all the chaos that surrounds us, why do I feel like your my safety net?" her voice inquisitive.

Ivar moved his head closer to hers so that they were only an inch apart. Eva inhaled deeply at the proximity of his lips from hers, she could feel his breath fanning onto her face.

"Why are you the only one who makes me feel something more than anger?" he questioned in reply.

"Because I love you," she didn't hesitate to answer, "and love does that to people."

He chuckled in response as his deep blue eyes lowered to her pulped lips.

"Took the words right out of my mouth, love," he whispered.

As Ivar moved in to close the short distanced that separated them, Eva's lids closed by their own accord and she was slowly gravitating closer to him too.

"Brrrrrrrrrring, brrrrrring!"

Eva jumped in fright and butt heads with Ivar, "Ouch!" she cried as she rubbed her head.

Ivar kissed her forehead before answering the phone.

"You better have good news, for calling," Ivar hissed.

"Did I just cockblock you?" Nick laughed, "Sorry dude."

"Just get to the point!"

"We found those people you said who were following us yesterday, we think we have the exact location of Elaine and Joseph."

"Good, we'll see you later at the hotel."

The next day, the same thing happened. Eva woke up to an empty bed, this time though Ivar wasn't sitting on her bed waiting with breakfast.

It was Avery.

"Hey, what are you doing in here?" she asked worried Ivar could come in at any time.

"Hey, it just me and you today," his smiled strained, "don't worry Ivar is busy setting up a surprise for you with the other's."

"Okay?" Eva said, but she could feel something was wrong.

There was no way in the world that Ivar would let Avery stay with her alone for a whole day. Surprise or not he would rather give his life instead of giving over what he claimed as his to his enemies or anyone. But Eva went along with it until she could figure it out.

Avery hadn't tried to make a single move on Eva for the past four hours that they had been together. He was acting strangely.

"Hows Elaine?" she asked, "I haven't seen her since the drama."

"She's okay," Avery gulped

"Did she get a haircut?"

"Wh-what for?" he questioned.

"Remember, Ivar threw a dagger and it chopped off her hair?" confusion clear in her voice.

By this point Avery was sweating bricks, he was a bad liar, he always had been. So keeping a large secret like this was super hard for him.

"Oh, ha! yeah," he smiled, " right, she did."

Eva knew right then and there that he was lying.

She excused herself to the bathroom and dialled her sister's number, but no answer. She called Joseph and there was also no answer. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't seen them both since the big drama in the room that night.

She ran to Avery, who was also on the phone rapid-fire talking to the other person on the line.

"Avery, where is Elaine?" she questioned.

"Ugh, hold on a second," he said to her before whispering into the phone.

Then he held the phone out to her after a few exchange of words over the phone.

"Hello?" she said.

"Hey, love" Ivar replied, "How is your day so far?"

'Ivar?'

"Ivar, what the hell is going on? you want to kill Avery one minute now I'm stuck with him all day and you're calling him? Nuh-uh Mr! You tell me whats going on right now! And tell me where the hell my sister is!" she yelled into the phone.

Avery winced, but he was glad he wasn't breaking the news to her.

"Sweetcheeks, listen to me right now," Ivar smoothed, "I want you to take a deep breath in and then out."

"Just tell me Ivar," she snapped.

"Listen to me first then I will," authority dripping from his voice.

She co-operated as ordered and felt a little calmer.

"Okay, I need to you stay calm. This will not be easy to hear, but I need you to trust me okay," he cooed.

"Tell me straight, Ivar!"

"Elaine and Joseph have been taken by some bad people. But the good news is that we know where they are and they will be back at the hotel by tonight," he reassured her.

Eva couldn't help the sob that escaped her mouth.

"Listen to me Eva, do you trust me?" Ivar asked.

"Did you call the police? are they helping you?" she mumbled.

"Do you trust me, Eva?"

"With all my heart Ivar!"

"Then I promise you, by ten pm tonight I will bring them back to you in the hotel safe and sound," his voice strong with determination.

"Okay," she hiccuped, Avery beside her rubbed her back in comfort.

"Love, I need you to do something very important," he continued.

"Anything!"

"I need you to, pack everything. Get out passports and have a spare change of clothing for us when we arrive okay," he stated.

"Ivar, stay safe ok, come back to me with our family you hear me!" she cried.

"I love you, Eva."

"I love you too, Ivar."
