Nick and Avery found there was an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city, they had followed the white van with tinted windows that Ivar had seen the day before.

The warehouse definitely looked abandoned, but they were sure there were security camera's on the outside. Inside Nick was certain that they had rooms filled with woman and children and even men they were trafficking.

In Ivar's day, it was normal to sell and buy slaves but not free people. But he learnt that just about everything since the eighth century had changed. And of course, his friend was about to be sold to be a sex slave. Not exactly the ideal job for Joseph since he was gay Ivar had thought and Elaine, well he thought it was the perfect job for her to warm a man's bed given her reputation of being a whore.

None the less, he was with Nick scoping out the weak points of the warehouse to save them.

"Are you sure about this?" Nick was doubtful

"You do not have to kill anyone if you do not want to," Ivar patted his shoulder. "But just making sure you do not get killed, I do not want to drag your dead weight back."

Nick shook his head, in unbelief. He couldn't believe that he could die at the young age of twenty-four, for people he only met less than six months ago. But he couldn't deny that he loved them enough and trusted the crazy crippled to go through with this.

He wanted to call the police, but Ivar explained that calling the police will not give those people justice. They would escape with a short sentence and get back out on the street and continue human trafficking. Ivar did not agree with the punishments of this day and age, sitting in a jail cell to rot. He thought it was better to blood eagle and whip them, something more gruesome that will physically and mentally challenge them.

Nick hated the thought of these sick people getting out, so he readily agreed with Ivar.

"We've been training for this, for months, you are ready Nick," Ivar encouraged. "Odin is watching over us, I can feel the presence of the gods"

"Maybe, it is a good day to die," Nick replied.

Elaine wouldn't stop blaming herself.

This was all her fault and she took full responsibility. when she had rushed out that night she only intended to get some fresh air to cool off. She was too emotional and wanted to clear her head. She knew she was being a brat and ruining the vacation she wasn't invited to.

When she got out of the hotel she walked along the road, with out really watching where she was going. She had turned down a dimly lit street but kept on walking without being cautious.

She then heard footsteps behind her, she quickly spun to find Joseph and sprinted deeper into the dark street.

"Elaine," he screamed, "Stop running!"

But she didn't listen, just as Joseph started to chase after her again she was nearing the end of the street where it came up to an intersection. Right before the curve sat a white van, as she neared the van the doors opened and a man jumped out in suspicious black clothing. Elaine thinking nothing of it, kept running towards him, hoping to pass. But Joseph got a bad feeling in his gut, and sprinted.

"Elaine, watch out!!" Joseph screamed.

It was too late, Elaine was running too fast, the guy simply waited on the opposite side of the side walk to the van. When Elaine was running in passing, he shoved her into to the van and she landed in the grips of two other men.

She screamed in fright and tried to loosen their grip, but the guy from the outside was pushing her in as well. Joseph managed to catch up and tried to fight the men off, but it was no use. They were out numbered and ended up shoving him in the van too.

The windows were tinted so no one could see them, the men put on blind folds and gagged them so they couldn't escape. It was the worse nightmare for anyone who travelled on holiday, Joseph had watched too many crime documentaries and had a good idea what was about to happen.

Joseph could hear her sobbing even with the gag in her mouth. For the first time in a long time, Joseph had prayed. He prayed only for Elaine that she would make it out alive and he that would readily sacrifice himself for her.

Since then they had been locked up in a room with other people, who were also foreigners to Norway. The same thing happened to them, mainly woman and children loitered the room, but there were a few men here and there. A lady from Spain told them that they were in a warehouse and that there were other people here too.

Since then they had been waiting for the worst, Elaine constantly cried and Joseph tried his best to soothe her even though he wanted to cry too.

"It's all my fault!" Elaine sobbed, "I should of just let Ivar kill me so you wouldn't have to be here with me."

"Hey, don't talk like that! We were just at the wrong place, at the wrong time," he said rocking her in an embrace. "Don't worry I know Nick and Ivar would have noticed something wrong by now, they'll come for us."

"What if they don't?!" she cried, "We'll die or even worst we'll be sold to disgusting people who will keep us as sex slaves. And you won't get to see your family and boyfriend Riley ever again, oh gosh I'm the worst person ever!"

"I'm not gay!" Joseph defended, "Stop talking like that, with that attitude we might as well just give ourselves willingly without a fight."

"I'll take your secret with me to the grave," Elaine sniffed, "Literally."

Joseph just rolled his eyes

Eva had been going crazy since she last heard Ivar's voice. She had this bad feeling in her gut. She couldn't help but feel like something was going to go wrong. Ivar and Nick rescuing her sister and Joseph blindly without taking precautions, like calling the cops would surely end badly.

She couldn't lose all of them in one day, if she did she would probably commit suicide just to be with them. Those four were the only people she truly considered family other than her parents, living in this world without them would be purposeless.

Eva pulled her phone out and dialled 911.

Avery quickly snatched the phone out of her hand and ended the call.

"What are you doing? this isn't America," his expression baffled.

"911 always redirects to the countries emergency number!"

"Yeah, maybe in the Pacific, we're in Europe, Eva!"

"Look, Avery, my family is in danger!" she cried, "and we're just sitting here doing nothing! I can't sit and do nothing anymore."

"I know, I want to help too," he assured, "But Ivar said that I have to make sure you're safe and prepare everything so we can get out of here all together safely!"

"Screw what Ivar says!" she yelled

Eva punched Avery in the gut and grabbed the knife that was sitting on the table.

As Avery bent over in shocked and winded, she stood in front of him with the knife sitting snug against his family jewels. As he felt it he stood as still as he could, eyes wide.

"I'm sorry to do this Avery, really!" she said "But I have to say, I've known Ivar longer than you, and I can probably out do you every time. So, things are going to change right now! You have two options, one, you help me find my family and get Elaine and Joseph back. Two, you go against me by listening to Ivars orders. If you do I'll tie you up with rope, gag you and lock the door on my way out. The choice is yours."

It was 7.30pm, another van had driven into the warehouse. Ivar and Joseph had been watching the warehouse all day from the hilltop.

"That's our cue, let's go," Ivar said already in motion of crawling.

"Hold on," Nick said as he pushed Ivar's shoulder back down.

Nick bowed his head and closed his eyes.

"Dear God," he whispered

Nick then felt a cold blade sitting at his throat.

"and Odin," Ivar backed off, "we come before thee humble and willing to save thy children from the clutches of hell," he continued.

"Hurry it up," Ivar hissed.

"Save us all please, in your almighty Sons name Jes..."

The blade appeared at Nick's throat again, "AMEN!" he yelled.

Ivar started crawling down the hill, but Nick had a better Idea.

"Boneless, get on my back, we don't have all night for your crippled arse," Nick stated

Nick hefted Ivar up his back and started walking towards the warehouse.

They had a plan, and it was time to execute it.

Nick had a belt holding two pistols with silencers, two daggers, and his pockets full of ammunition. While Ivar had a Bow and a quiver filled with arrows, and an axe strapped to his back, with two daggers hanging off his belt. Nick suggested he carry a gun, but Ivar felt more comfortable with his own weapons.

They waited, about two hundred meters down the road from the warehouse, twenty minutes later the same van came out the garage door.

Ivar and Nick were hidden behind a bush, as soon as the truck drove pass they moved into position.

Nick was aiming his gun at the tire of the van, while Ivar had his bow ready.

"You better hope there is a jack inside that van, Ivar," Nick said

"Just hurry up, before you miss your shot," Ivar replied.

Nick shot the bullet, "damn it!" he hissed as the van kept moving.

"Get it this time, or I will," Ivar snapped.

The van was about fifteen hundred meters away now, Nick lined up his gun and shot as he exhaled.

The van started to slow down, as the right end tire started to deflate.

Nick sighed in relief and sat back.

Ivar now pulled out an arrow and waited for the men to come out of the van.

The driver and the passenger both got out to check the tire.

Ivar turned to Nick and smirked, "Watch and learn."

As Ivar set up his bow and arrow and aimed, he turned his left wrist inwardly an inch to check the second's hand on his Rolex, it was pointing at the number two.  By then the back doors were open and two more men came out

Ivar then exhaled and shot his first arrow, he shot the driver right through the back of his head. It happened so fast, the other men around him were slow to react that Ivar shot another arrow right through the back of the passengers head.

By then the other two had looked back to see where the arrows were coming from, another arrow shot right through the middle of the others left the eye.

The last guy started to sprint around the van but Ivar was too fast and shot him right through the heart.

Ivar looked back down at his watch and the second's hand was on the four. "Ten seconds," he whispered proudly.

He then looked up to find Nick's face had paled.

"Be a man, Nick!" Ivar slapped his face gently, "Be a Viking, we fight for our family and fame! Now hurry, let's go."

Nick tried to shake off his petrified state and followed Ivar towards the van.

Ivar was turning the bodies over so he could see how accurate his arrow shots were. Three of the head shots cleanly sliced through the heads, while the last one didn't come out the other side of the body.

Ivar couldn't help but feel satisfied, his bloodlust was finally being sated but he couldn't help the feeling from rising instead of stopping. This was how he was raised, to kill or be killed.

He wiped up blood from the wound of a man and painted a stripe on each cheek, he then turned to Nick to do the same.

When Nick saw that Ivar had painted his face with a man's blood he murdered, he couldn't push down the contents of his stomach and turned around heaving up his guts.
