Entering the school

As soon as the first graders reached the top of the stairs they found themselves right on the edge of a cliff. The stage was gone! All they could see was a blue sky ahead of them and a green forest below them. They got scared and ran further in. The boys then left with their matron to their rooms.

A girl named Hannah Donovan

saw a big blue rectangular stone with curvy lines on the ground. It was exactly where they had all walked out of. She stared at it trying to understand what it wrote.

"It says QUENDI and it means elves in elvish. By the end of the year you will have learned elvish fluently" Ivory said and took Hannah by the hand. " Come girls lets get you to your rooms" the little girls followed her.

Evangeline looked back to see her headmaster with one short black haired male teacher popping straight out of that strange blue stone. "Hmm...why would they want to hide the stage?" She wondered. Then looked ahead at the Groundzey castle. It was quite big and was eight stories tall. It had different colored rose vines covering up the brick walls. There were white, red and blue roses all over it. The kids gasped and stared at the beauty of the school. The last few boys were putting their faces on the wall next to the door and the girls giggled at them.

They carried on walking closer and closer with her class until they stoped at the door. "Kids, this school is highly secret and must be kept closed to fairies and witches. Over here you see there are two holes. You must look into them and say your name. Each of you must wait your turn and be quiet when the others speak" said Ivory.

"Hannah Donavan" said Hannah and looked in. Next was Grace Amiplin then Amy Seasalt followed by Josephine Crone then Evangeline. " Evangeline Elvencore" she said looking in and then stood in the other line the girls had formed. She thought she had heard another Elvencore but was not sure about it.

After they had all finished  getting their pupil scans, they walked through the main door. They went in. They walked into a small hall that led to another door. They walked in to find a huge room with lots and lots of doors on both sides. At the end of the room was a big staircase leading upstairs. Evangeline couldn't wait to explore the building. On the right wall eight doors numbered 1-11 were all closely next to each other. On the left side the doors had different names: one said history, another said poisons plants and venomous animals, the next said archery and the last one said animal care. Evangeline didn't get a chance to read them all because Ivory led them to the last door numbered 1 and told them to go in. The children gasped at the size of the main room and wondered how it fit along with the other rooms.

The matron started explaining
"The room that we are in now, is not actually at the school. We are in the southmost part of the forest. Each class has a main room in a different part of the Elven Forest. Every year you will go to a more dangerous part of the Elven Forest. When you get to grade eight you will go close to Silversoul lake that is up north. Grades after 8 are universities for the profession you want to do.
See these two doors? The one on the left is for the boys and on the right for the girls. The boys are probably in their common room already. Lets go to your common room." She said and held the door open for all fifty two girls to walk in. Surprisingly it was also quite huge and filled with comfy sofas and writing desks and bookshelves. At the opposite wall there were thirteen doors. Each had a piece paper stuck to it and a pen dangling down. Ivory went to the doors. "Over here are your dorms. Each dorm will hold four girls. In one month you may change dorms and go to different ones if you want. All you have to do is find someone who wants to swap with you and change the names on the door. I will leave you here now. The dining room is upstairs inside the school. Just walk past the doors and you will get there. Nothing complicated. Any questions?"

"Umm is there a door to get outside?" asked Hannah.

"Yes, each room has a door leading outside. But I advise you not to go out alone because you never know what will jump out and eat you!!!." Ivory said dramatically and chuckled. The kids stared at her with horror spread across their faces. Then they went to their rooms.
