The next morning at eight thirty the school alarm went off. Evangeline was surprised to hear a beautiful elven melody instead of a dull bell. She jumped out of bed, fed her owl that she had named Norvix and took him out of his cage. She got in the shower got dressed and ran to the dining room and saw that it was ten to nine. Breakfast started at nine.

The only person there was mr Elvencore. He was standing in the middle of the long carpet that ran from the teachers table to the top of stairs that led downstairs. He greeted her with a smile.

Evangeline immediately felt very anxious about being alone. She sat down without greeting him, took out the book she had brought along and started reading. Finley walked up to her and took a seat next to her.

"Who are your parents Evangeline?" He said in a creepy voice.
"Sebastian and Esmeralda." she looked at the man then down to her book (not actually reading). She felt him smile. "Why are you smiling?" She glimpsed at him and muttered.

"Well because your father, was my brother!" He said with a laugh. He was so happy to have found his niece. "I can't believe its you! Last time i saw you you had just been born, in the same hospital as Elizabeth, four days apart. You came first." He slid the back of his two fingers down her cheek. She went red and looked away.

"So... I'm cousins with Elizabeth! But we look nothing alike at all. Were you and my dad close?" She turned to face him a bit more in her seat, still blushing and nervous of course.

"You look exactly like Elizabeth and yes we were very good friends!" He said. Evangeline felt something fishy about this man. Why didn't she know about him? Her grandma and aunt had taught her everything. Or so she thought. Maybe he isn't trustworthy. She will need to spend time with him to be sure. Or just ask Elizabeth. Because she didn't really want to spend time with him.

"Good morning Evangeline" she heard Amy and Angela and Elizabeth say together. Finley turned and jumped from the sudden voices. Evangeline felt a huge relief when she heard them.

"Good morning girls!" Evangeline said while Angela sat with Amy opposite to her and Elizabeth. Finley got up and left.

"what was that about?" Asked Elizabeth. "You look very red! What happened!? Was my dad mean to you?"

"He told me something." She said in a whisper. "He says you and i are cousins!"
"Really? Well thats cool!" I've always wanted a sister but a cousin is great too."

Angela looked at Amy  " You think we are cousins too?" They all laughed at that. Now they looked nothing alike! This is what the  four girls looked like:

Angela had fiery red hair, scary yellow eyes and adorable dimples that showed when she spoke.

Amy was blond with thin eyebrows, thin nose and big blue droopy eyes.

Elizabeth had brown wavy hair, a small button nose, pretty lips and sky blue eyes.

And Evangeline had bark blond hair, green eyes and dimples when she smiled.

"Oh hey, we should all move in to the same room!" Angela suggested. "It's been one day... but still!" The others agreed.

"Let's go to your room Elizabeth." Said Evangeline. Right after breakfast they all ran to find Elizabeth's roommates. They were okay with the plan of changing and moved to different rooms.
