Animals

The children went to their rooms to get their familiars. Then, they came back to the classroom that said: ANIMAL CARE
Evangeline remembered that she had read it the previous day. She was very excited for this lesson because she loved  all animals dearly.

They went in and found themselves in a house. A very strange house. The walls and doors were all made of glass except one. There was a golden staircase with a red carpet leading upstairs just like the one in the school. There were weeds growing everywhere, but in a beautiful way. Flowers were growing up the weeds too: roses, daisies, poppies, dandelions, violets, jasmines and lilies.

The teacher walked down the stairs of the building. He looked like a mad hatter, yet very attractive. He was thin with a black suit and a top hat. His tie was golden and his hair was as dark as coal. His name was Markian Gervlin.

His blue doe eyes skipped around and landed on each child showing a different expression on his face each time. He smiled at Evangeline, frowned at the podgy boy named Jayden, smiled at Elizabeth, frowned at Amy, looked at Angela with a confused look and so on.

"I already know all your names so don't bother telling me. The first thing i want you to all do is make groups of whatever familiar you have brought. I will choose the captain of your team." He had a sassy tone of voice.

The kids ran all around the huge room and formed four teams. One with cats, one with owls, one with hedgehogs and one with rabbits. The most kids had chosen rabbits (40), next owls (30), a few cats (20) and hardly any hedgehogs (14).

Evangeline was put in a team with Elizabeth and another 28 kids who all had owls. Angela was put in a team with the cats. Amy had a hedgehog.

"The hedgehog captain is Jayden Alonso. The rabbit captain is Steve Derry. The Owl captain is Elizabeth Elvencore. The cat captain is Angela Autumnleaf."

There was a short awkward silence and then he spoke again "Anyway, follow me. And don't forget you will be fine. There's no need to worry about anything." He said rolling his eyes for literally no reason at all.

The first graders followed him past lots and lots of rooms to four separate doors.
The hedgehog door was green, the owl door was grey, the cat door was orange and the rabbit door was white.
Each team went through theirs.

Hedgehog owners found themselves in an open aria with: hedgehogs, moles, silvacolas and Erinaceidaes everywhere and instantly regretted their familiar selection.

The rabbit owners were surrounded by rodents: rabbits, rats, squirrels, chinchillas, hamsters and mice.

The owl owners found themselves in a place with forest and open space. Around them were all sorts of birds: chickens, swans, ducks, penguins, eagles, doves, pigeons, ostriches, flamingos, quails, hummingbirds, parrots and a lot more.

The cat owners found themselves in a rain forest with all types of different felines: lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, panthers, house cats and others.
