AN okay guys I just got a new puppy so the puppy in this story is based on her, and I'm sorry for the fact that I haven't been doing the chapters I promised but I was so inspired. So let the story begin.

Beep beep beep. I punched my phone knocking it off the nightstand and turning off the alarm. Why the hell did I set an alarm? I looked at the clock, 6:00 am. What the hell is wrong with me? I groaned and picked up my phone to look at the alarm label, it read:

'It's Evan's Birthday you stupid procrastinator and your meeting him at his house at 11:30, now get your lazy ass out of bed.'

oh shit! I quickly scrambled out of bed throwing on a pair of jeans and a hoodie. I didn't even bother to put on an undershirt I just zipped it up. I quickly brushed my teeth and ran down stairs and out the door grabbing my keys on the way out. I ran to my car and went straight to the nearest shopping mall. What do you want from my life I was desperate.

Anyway I drove around 20 miles over the speed limit until I ran out of gas. perfect, the mall was a good 30 miles away, The gas station was only 3 miles out of the way so it worked out okay but I was running low so I speed to the gas station and pray I can make it there. I drove as lightly on the gas pedal as possible, I was starting to get nervous that I might not make it so I decide to put on the radio. I hear Whitney come on I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY! Ew. I turn it off cause let's face it, only drunk girls actually like Whitney. I pull up to the pump and start filling my car I stand there for about a minute before a huge van pulls up next to me, it has the words NORTH SHORE ANIMAL SHELTER printed on the front in big blue letters and under it in black font it said MOBILE UNIT surrounded by pictures of dogs and cats. The guy driving starts to fill up his tank and opens the back door, most likely to let in some air. As I'm looking over I spot a black puppy with striking blue eyes lying down in a cage, she's so cute I can't help but smile, and as soon as she sees me her tail starts to wag and she stands up and starts jumping.

I can't explain what was going through my head but I needed that dog and I needed it now.

"Uh excuse me sir. Are those dogs up for adoption?" the man nodded,

"Would you like to see any of them?"

"I would, can I see that black one?" he took her out of the cage and put her in my arms. "Hello there." I said holding her up to the sun. "aren't you beautiful? How much." I turned to the guy.

"No charge, these guys are being put down next week. I just need to ship them to the actual shelter in the city."

"Why is she being put down?"

"She has parasites so she can't be around other dogs. Plus she's a stray and we have no idea where she's from also no one wanted her so she has about a week." I nodded.

"Can she still be adopted?"

"Oh yeah."

"I want to adopt her."

"Okay let me get her paperwork."

Two hours of paperwork later I finally had the dog and was starting my car. I checked the time and I only had... 15 MINUTES! Evan was half an hour away! I drove as fast as I could to Evan's house.

~meanwhile evan is grappling with the that- you know what. I'm not makinging a reference. Deal with it. Meanwhile at Evan's place~

"I'm sure he'll be here soon." Zoe said while rubbing Evan's back, Jared was sprawled across Evan's couch while Alana, Zoe, and Evan were all sitting on the floor, they were watching Heathers because the girls wanted an 80's romance type thing and Jared wanted murder so... compromise?

"I'm sure he just overslept." Alana bet nervously looking at her phone.

"Yeah right. Connor's a jackass. He probably didn't even care." Jared argued. At that moment the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it." Evan said getting up but Zoe pushed him down.

"It's your birthday, you're not alowed to do anything, besides if that's who I think it is I have some words for him. Four letter words."

"Wait it's your birthday?" Jared interjected but everyone ignored him.

"Zoe I-"

"No ifs ands, or buts. I got it."

"I'll send a gift card in the mail or something." Jared mumbled turning his eyes back to the T.V. Zoe left the room they heard a "where the fuck where you?! We've been waiting for fifteen minutes!"

"I'm fashionably late." it was clearly connor's voice.

"No, you're rude. And why were you sneaking out of the house at 2 am."

"First it wasn't 2 it was 6-"

"SAME THING!"

"Um not really and second I was busy getting something for Evan."

"What could possibly take that lon- AWWWWWW CONNOR THAT'S ADORABLE!" the two of them came back in the room with connor holding something behind his back and Zoe smiling uncontrollably.

"Hey Ev. happy birthday." connor was still standing in the doorway with a huge smirk on his face.

"Hey. thanks. What' behind your back?"

"A surprise."

"HEY guys! Let's do gifts!" zoe said out of nowhere.

"Aw but it was starting to get good." jared complained.

"J.D. Dies." connor said blankly. Jared looked like he was going to murder connor right there but Alana turned off the t.v. and told Jared to calm himself.

"I'll go first." Alana said pulling out a small bag. "Are you gonna sit Connor?"

"Later. I need to stand if I want mine to be a surprise." she gave a skeptical look but nodded anyway. Evan opened the bag and pulled out a small bonsai tree his face lit up and he hugged Alana telling her how wonderful it was. Next Zoe handed him a blue envelope he carefully opened it to see a bright blue card that said 'happy birthday on the front. Inside there was a short note that basically said happy birthday to a great friend and two tickets for some hiking trip in the woods. Evan hugged and thanked her while connor was still standing in the doorway holding the puppy behind his back. She was surprisingly very quiet.

"Alright I'm up!" Connor said fed up with waiting. Evan laughed and nodded. Jared at this point was playing on his phone. "Close your eyes."

"Kinky." Jared said not looking up.

"Shut up." Evan and Connor said at the same time. Connor set down the puppy who ran straight to Evan and jumped on his face and started kissing him?

"Connor! What's liking my face?"

"Double kinky." jared said still not looking up from his phone while the girls were awing. Evan opened his eyes to be met with those of the dog's whose tail was wagging non-stop.

"CONNOR! You shouldn't have!" he said picking up the dog like it was simba from the lion king.

"Do you like her?"

"Like her?! I love her! Thank you connor." he put down the dog and ran up to connor and tackled him in a hug while the puppy moved to the girls to be pet.

"I'm glad. She was two hours of paperwork."

"I love you! I love you! I love you!"

"I love you too."

"Triple kinky."

"SHUT UP JARED!" everyone said in unision. Even the dog barked.

"What are you gonna name her?" Alana asked while petting the puppy.

"How about connie?"

"Why connie?" Connor asked petting the dog along with the girls.

"W-well it kinda sounds like connor and well..." Evan sudenly felt arms around him.

"Thank you Evan." Connor whispered in his ear, his face was red.

"Y-your welcome." he whispered back. The puppy then wiggled it's way in between the two boys wagging it's tail and panting with it's tiny tongue sticking out of it's mouth. We laughed and we were happy.
