Stay by my side until this battle is gone. It just needs to be you and I to fight; So stay with me until the dawn of light. Be my golden state of mind.

After our guests had left I joined mom to pick up after the dinner. I have to admit it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought they would be too arrogant to want to be here but they were quite nice for a family as wealthy as they were. Their son was strange though. He would speak a lot at times, while at other times he would stay quiet and just stare around, or at me. His expression was rather saddened as if he had missed such events that took place in life. The parents were unbothered though. They continued their conversation with eomma. Something else that seemed to stay in my mind was how kind he was. The boy was well educated and you could tell that he came from a family of well-educated people from the conversations they awkwardly brought up. Still, I felt good because Mom felt good about the little things we had. That's all that really mattered.
"Eomma, did you have a good time? They were very kind. How do you know them?"
Eomma turned to me with a smile and nodded. She did look happy and like she had a great time too. I felt myself relax more seeing her in such a good mood.
"We grew up together, honey! Mr. Xiu's wife was my childhood best friend. I had a chance to see her last week on my way to the market. She was also there getting a couple of things herself."
I nodded and smiled, glancing at her once more as I took the dirty dishes to the kitchen. I went back out and grabbed the last ones from moms hand.
"I'll do it Eomma. I'll clean them too. Go relax a little. You seem really tired."
She sighed and nodded thanking me before giving me a kiss on the forehead and taking off. I quietly went back to the kitchen to finish off my night chores. My thoughts once again drifted back to the boy. It was strange how I had never really seen him around school or even town. It was like he wasn't even real. I began to ponder on that though.
I flicked on the tv and sat down watching a little of it before Mom came out of the bathroom and caught me. After seven it was prohibited to all teenagers in town to watch anything that they gave in tv. I glanced behind me to our small hallway where Mom was still showering and sighed. At least I really had a small amount of time to see the news. The news quickly went on air again and a picture was shown. It was a mix of turquoise blue, sea green, and sky blue creating wonderfully crafted waves crashing ashore. There was nothing wrong with that picture to me. In fact, it was rather beautiful.
"It's happening again. These kids must be stopped!-"
I flinched at the reporters' angry outburst. Could he have been talking about those boys?...
"This city and country is rotten ALL because of them! They must be stopped. One way or another! They are making this society bad, molding it with evil and unnecessary stuff! Those kids are the devil in disguise!"
The man kept yelling, flustered beyond belief. Even if he were to get a sudden heart attack that wouldn't have stopped him from ranting on.
"If anyone catches these boys, report them immediately! We want them gone."
He switched off and went to another area of South Korea, somewhere they called Busan.
"This just in, we have reportedly found more evidence of the infamous group Bangtan. Bangtan is known to be a seven grouped boys group who have been breaking the by-standing laws of the new world since-"
"Lee-Xang!"
I quickly hopped up from the couch and turned around, to not find eomma behind me. She was by her room. I yelled back a quick 'one second' And turned off the tv. I gripped my chest as my heart thumped painfully making me slightly dizzy.
"I'll be there eomma! Just give me a second!"
I quickly gathered myself a little before going to where she yelled from, which was her room. I had never realized how clean my mom truly was until I walked into her room right now for the first time.
"Lee-Xang, everything okay? I heard noises from the living room."
I waved her worry away and gave her a reassuring smile when deep inside I was malfunctioning. I was so scared that she would find out I kept stuttering over my words. Thankfully she took my reaction in another way.
"Oh, honey. Go on now and take your own time in the bathroom then go rest up for tomorrow. We need to head to town for a couple of things that I need for work." I nodded and quickly went up to my room.
That was a very close call. I would've been in trouble if I got caught. I went straight to my piano. It was truly a good way to get unstressed and I also got to talk a little to dad that way. I just couldn't understand why this town was making such a big deal about seven boys, who were probably around my age, showing that they would stand up for the little freedom they deserved. I honestly didn't even hate them as the rest of this town does. I admired them for their bravery.
A quick knock later, Mom walked in and told me that she was heading off now. We exchanged goodnights and she went off while I remained seated trying to get everything out of my brain.
Who were they? And what were they trying to get at by doing all their rebellious acts?
