STOP 003. GIFS ON MOODBOARDS

GUIDE: lavencraw

how's it going guys and gals

have you ever seen a gif on a moodboard and think 'aw man i wish i could do that but i only have a phone :,(

well look no further! imma teach you how to make this today which you can create on any mobile device (or even a computer if you don't have an editing program):

this tutorial is assuming that you already know how to make a normal moodboard, i'm just teaching you how to add the gif.

also big thanks to @kidnaps for being the one who taught me this in the first place (even though i'm using a different method)

WEBSITES USED:
- ezgif.com
- online-image-editor.com

TUTORIAL:

0. Before starting, make sure you add a picture in the middle of the moodboard so you know where to move the gif later. Don't just leave the middle spot blank.

1. ( If your gif is already square then you can just skip this step) First things first, the moodboard I'm making is square so the gif needs to be the same size too, go to ezgif.com and use the crop tool to make your chosen gif square.

You can move the crop box (?) around to focus on the subject of your gif, and make sure to keep the aspect ratio on square.

Then just press crop image!

To get a square gif :)

2. Once you have a finished moodboard and a cropped gif, go to online-image-editor.com and choose the file (moodboard) and upload it.

Picsart makes moodboards a really big size for some reason, so resizing during upload is probably a good idea, but my dumbass didn't click the box next to the resize option so don't forget to do that.

3. Everything looks complicated in the website but it's really not, just click on the tab titled 'Wizards' and pick Overlay Image.

Then choose file (cropped gif) and upload it.

4. You can just drag the gif super easily to the centre of the moodboard, and use these options to fit it nicely.

Resize the frame to make the gif cover whatever still image was in the middle and then click apply.

5. Then click the save button in the top left hand corner and you have your moodboard gif!

EXTRA:

Gifs have to be 3MB and under in order to upload them to wattpad, so here's how you do that.

1. Go back to ezgif.com and click on Gif Optimizer, choose your gif moodboard and upload it

2. Even with the compression level really low, it still makes the MB much smaller, so i left it as it is. Don't make the compression too high because it messes up the quality of the gif.

And then you'll have the finished product! Of course you can use this to add multiple gifs on one moodboard or even make a whole moodboard of just gifs!

If you found this helpful please vote! Sorry if it's a bit hard to understand, if you have any questions just comment and tag me (lavencraw ) and i'll try my best to help you :)
