Abstract or still, it simply was.
Churches Omen, a messy haired freelancer who understudied in philology and gained an LLB was a society name-stay. He had published in many magazines across the island and also helped the local police with locking up monsters of D'Lawerence.
Some people poked fun at his contradicting name; however others felt smitten with the hero they've come to know. Almost as though he was angelic in many people's eyes.
He was a flawed piece of art at his core.
D.U. Had a scholar of its own amidst its professors with Mr. Rechewed ( pronounced Reach Wed )
He lead the university's Media department. World renowned photographer with an editing genius for an eye. Mr. Rechewed, brought stories to life.
He could use his life span to insert the humanistic narrative to each lesson he narrated. Pupils were fascinated by his intellect and pure insight into others.
He had a saviour complex and believed in everyone overcoming their difficulties. Having recently lost his partner, he basked in the achievements his pupils made.
Theodora, Ben, Manny and Juniper partook in his Media of Sociology class.
On one particular day, the class was given the opportunity to draw an apple. It could be of any color. Still life or abstract.
The class was asked to cut out some people and animals from magazines and incorporate the fruit with the cut outs.
The background could be painted, colored or chalk.
Manny's version was Mr.Rechewed's topic of discovery. He asked Manny if he could share this art with the class, Manny agreed.
Perched upon an easel, the white canvas featured a bruised green apple, no stem amongst the mud. A war struck child, a frontier and a stray dog captured the cut out portion.
"It's a discussion of what's morally right!
Can you all see this? A still life of abstract art. Is the apple deserving a as it lay in the mud? Is it tasty, no one cares! Pleasing to the eyes of those fraught with woe. Wouldn't you say? "
(Juniper raises her hand and asks)
