11; Revelations

"You know, I've never been a fan of walk-ins." Deaton sighed, walking out to the counter. He raised his eyebrows when he saw the four teens crowded in his lobby. He opened up the gate, allowing them to step through. He followed them into the back room, taking a seat on one of the stools and folding his hands in his lap. "What do you guys need?"

"Beverly Hunt." Scott said, peaking his boss's interest.

"What about her?"

They all looked at each other, unsure of what to say. Finally Isaac broke the silence, his tone blunt as he blurted out his words. "We think she's the Darach."

"No." Deaton shook his head, the teens just staring blankly at him.

"What do you mean, no?" Stiles asked, placing his hands on his hips.

"I mean, there's no way she could be the Darach." He said, his tone unwavering. He seemed utterly confident in the fact, his pulse not jumping in even the slightest.

"She knows the twins, and she knew that Boyd was going to drown himself." Isaac pushed his point, growing more irritated by the second. "How would she know that, if she isn't-"

"Beverly is a seer." Deaton cut Isaac off, letting out a sigh at all the blank stares he received. "It is something close to what is known as an Oracle in Greek mythology."

The boys all looked at Lydia, making her roll her eyes as she explained. "Oracles were believed to be mystical beings who basically had a line to the Gods. They told prophecies, giving those in need advice based on what they saw."

"Beverly has the ability to see future or past events, or even just glimpses a of feeling or memory." Deaton said, his voice calm. "She cannot control the visions, she could touch just about anything and have one."

"Okay, so she's a fancy fortune teller." Isaac leaned forward, using his elbows to prop him up. "That doesn't explain how she knows the twins."

"Beverly had her own twin." Deaton looked down for a second, taking a deep breath before continuing. "They were only toddlers when Beverly began to have visions. She would touch something and start crying, but the effect that it had on her twin sister was much worse. Every time Beverly would have a vision, her sister would have a seizure."

Isaac's face fell in realization, his jaw clenching as he stared down at the table. Scott looked over at him, a worried and sad expression on his face.

"They were both put through a series of tests, and they found that when the twins were separated, the seizures weren't as catastrophic. So Beverly was given a mixture of herbs to reduce the number of visions, and they made the decision to place her with another family, changing her last name to Hunt."

"Erica." Stiles spoke up, interrupting his story. Lydia shifted uncomfortably, the tension hanging thick in the air. "Erica was the sister, wasn't she?"

The grim look on Deaton's face said it all, Isaac standing up abruptly and leaving the room. They sat in silence for a moment, before Deaton continued.

"Beverly's new father, was Druid like me. He was an emissary for Ethan and Aiden's pack, before they joined the alpha pack. Aiden and Beverly were very close, from what I've heard."

"Wait." Scott looked up at him, his eyebrows furrowing. "If he was their emissary, then they had to kill him to join the alphas."

"I don't think she knows." Lydia realized, her eyes darting between Scott and Stiles. "I don't think she knows that they killed her father."

"She doesn't know any of this." A very stern look formed on Deaton's face, him grabbing the edge of the table. "And it is imperative that you do not tell her. If Mandy knew that I was even telling anyone this.."

He trailed off, shaking his head. Scott and Stiles shared a look of uncertainty, before looking back at the Druid.

"If Deucalion finds out the truth about what she can do, he will either kill her, or use her to his advantage." Deaton warned. "Either way, this information never leaves this room. Got it?"

"Got it." Scott nodded, letting out the breath that he'd been holding in. He couldn't even imagine having half of his life hidden from him, having a whole other family that he didn't even know. "I should probably check on Isaac."

Scott left the room, walking back out towards the lobby. He could see Isaac though the glass door, sitting on the curb with his head in his hands. Scott walked out and sat besides him, not saying a word.

"I've been horrible to her." Isaac muttered, dropping his hands between his knees. "I've treated her like some evil person, when in reality she's just an innocent girl."

"None of us knew." Scott assured him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "It's not your fault."

"I should have stopped them." Isaac shook his head, his voice almost a whisper. "I shouldn't have let them leave, and now Erica is dead. And Beverly, she'll never even get to know her sister because I-"

"Hey, stop." Scott said, his eyebrows furrowing. "That is no one's fault, and it is certainly not yours. Okay? Now all we can do, is make sure that Beverly, and everyone else in this town, is safe."

"Okay." Isaac nodded, clearing his throat. Scott stood up, extending his hand to Isaac. Isaac took it, pulling himself up and brushing the dirt off of his jeans.

"Let's go."
