07; Nauseated
Beverly was, in one word, pissed.
She had no desire to be on a foul smelling bus, headed to a cross country meet, and surrounded by a bunch of people she didn't like.
Also, the fact that Stiles and his group of psychopath, claw wielding friends kept trying to get her attention and watch her.
They were loading the bus when Beverly noticed that Ethan was alone, which was almost unheard of with the twins.
"Where's Aiden?" She asked, her eyebrows knitting together.
"He got suspended." Ethan scratched his ear, almost avoiding eye contact with her.
"He didn't tell me that yesterday." She frowned, fixing her bag.
"You saw him yesterday?" That caught his attention, the look on his face almost angry.
"Unless you're the twin snuck through my window yesterday, yeah." Beverly gave him a sarcastic smile, before turning around and getting on the bus.
She chose an empty seat near the front in hopes of being alone, because who in their right mind would choose to be that close to coach. She stuck her headphones in her ears and turned up the volume, resting her head against the window and closing her eyes.
Her eyes snapped back open when Stiles sat down, the blonde looking over at him with a blank expression.
"Hey, I just wanted to make sure everything was cool..." Stiles trailed off as she just blinked at him, looking extremely unamused. "And you are ignoring me, but I'm going to keep talking to you until you decide to listen and-"
Beverly pulled out one of her earphones, painting a fake smile on her face as she whispered through her teeth. "I have pepper spray in my bag, and I am not afraid to use it."
Stiles nodded, sliding off the seat and practically running to the back of the bus. She rolled her eyes and put her headphones back in, planning to drown out the entire bus ride. Her ride went undisturbed, until Jared decided to empty the contents of his stomach.
Into her lap.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Bev choked out, trying her best not to throw up herself a not only the smell, but the warmth of it.
"Pull the bus over here." Coach yelled at the bus driver, gagging a little. "Pull it over now!"
The bus driver pulled into a rest stop, Beverly still frozen in disgust and shock as everyone poured out of the bus, Finstock spewing profanities and spraying febreeze.
"Lets get you cleaned up." Ethan grabbed her duffel, pulling up the neck of his t-shirt to use as a mask. "C'mon."
"I didn't think my day could get worse, I really didn't." She stood up slowly, trying to ignore the fact that she was leaving a trail of drips as she walked out of the bus and to the restrooms. "I was so very wrong."
"Do you want me to see if they have like a plastic bag or..." Ethan stopped when she gave him a dirty look as she slid off her sneakers. "Trash. Gotcha."
He dragged over the trash can, Beverly peeling off her jeans and tossing them in the bin. Instead of taking the chance of taking her shirt off over her head, she slid her arms out of the sleeves and inched the shirt down her waist and legs.
"Hey, are you okay?" Stiles stumbled into the bathroom, his shoes squeaking loudly as he came to an abrupt halt.
"Do I look okay?" She hissed, crossing her arms. Stiles swallowed, his eyes widening at the fact that she was in her underwear.
"I mean, you look great."
"Get out!" Bev picked up her shoe and threw it at him, the spastic boy dodging it and running out of the bathroom. "There is something wrong with that kid."
"I'm not arguing that." Ethan shrugged, grabbing clothes out of her bag as she wiped her hands off with a paper towel. "So, you saw Aiden?"
"Yep." She sighed, grabbing the sweatshirt he handed her and yanking it over her head.
"What'd you guys talk about?" He inquired, holding out a pair of yoga pants for her to take.
"Nothing really, my mom just barged in and started yelling. She said she didn't want me sneaking boys into my room." Beverly paused, jumping as she pulled on them on. "But it was weird, she seemed more mad that it was Aiden for some reason. Can you grab that shoe I threw?"
"Yeah, here." Ethan tossed it to her, watching as she kneeled down to put her shoes on. "I'm sorry."
"For?'" She blew a piece of hair out of her face, brushing off her knee.
"For not talking to you. Both after the accident, and at school."
"Really Ethan, don't worry about it." She pulled her hair up, twisting it into a bun and securing it with an elastic. He glanced at her neck, looking down in shame at the sight of the scars lining her neck. "We're good."
"I'll grab your bag." He reached down and zipped up the duffel before slinging it over his shoulder, giving her a tight smile.
"Thanks." They walked out of the restroom, but before Bev could even open her mouth to ask Ethan about Danny, a fist connected with his jaw. Beverly gasped as Isaac began to pummel him, pinning him to the ground. "Stop it!"
Isaac didn't stop until Scott yelled his name, causing him to release Ethan's shirt and step back. He looked over at Bev, his chest heaving as he tried to normalize his breathing. "You can't trust them, y'know. They're dangerous."
Beverly scoffed, looking as Danny used a towel to wipe blood off of Ethan's face.
"You look like the only dangerous one here."
