03; Aconite
A knock sounded on their door, causing Bev to drop her folded clothes on the bed and jog over to answer it. "I got it mom!"
She reached for the handle and opened it, coming face to face with a welcome basket. It was lowered to reveal a dark haired woman, who flashed her a wide smile.
"Hi, I noticed to you moved into the building." She greeted, shaking the basket a little. "My name is Kali, I live up in the penthouse with my husband Ennis, my brother in law, and my nephews."
"Oh, uh." Bev blinked, taking the basket from her. "Thanks, I guess. I didn't know people in Beacon were so friendly."
"It's rare, but I was raised to be polite." Kali extended her hand, Bev shaking it with a smile. "We just wanted to give you a nice welcome."
"Wow," She chuckled, twisting the basket in her hands. "I'm Beverly, by the way. My mom is around here somewhere, I'll tell her you dropped this off."
"Of course, it was nice to meet you Beverly."
"You too." Bev nodded, moving back and shutting the door. The smile on Kali's face disappeared instantly, replaced with an annoyed look.
"Husband, huh?" Ennis cocked an eyebrow, watching Kali as she stalked into the elevator.
"I swear to god, if Deucalion is gonna make us play house just to spy on Aiden's little play thing, I will-"
"Remember, she's not his play thing." Ennis scolded, giving her a twisted grin. "Not anymore, at least."
"We all know how he really feels." She sneered, chuckling as the elevator doors closed.
Meanwhile Beverly was examining their welcome gift as she walked over to her mother's room, knocking lightly on the door. When she recieved no reply she pressed her ear against the door, only catching fragments of her conversation.
"No, you can't see her...That's none of your business, and you-" Her mother's words kept getting cut off, only catching a few more before she gave up. "I'm her mother, not you...Not any-"
Beverly walked back to her Kitchen, whoever her mother was talking to had definitely struck a cord. She didn't seem angry, exactly.
She seemed frantic, nervous. Maybe even fearful.
"Scissors." She mumbled to herself, spinning around slowly as she searched for them. Being unsuccessful, she set it on the counter and just ripped the plastic off. "Cheese, fruit, expensive wine that I'll be sneaking into-"
The moment Beverly picked up the bottle of wine she gasped, a chill running through her as she froze.
A blonde she didn't recognize screamed as bottles of wine came flying at her, smashing at her feet as she jumped away.
She continued to cry out as she walked backwards, her feet bleeding as she walked back on the glass. The last bottle flew as she hit the wall, the mystery girl panting as she looked around the basement.
The window above her opened, the girl letting out a high pitched scream as-
"Beverly!" Bev jolted, looking at her mother as she shook her. She slowly looked down at the bottle of wine smashed at her feet, the dark liquid pooling around her like blood. "What happened?"
"I-I dont," She took a step back, clenching her hands into fists to stop their shaking. "I don't know."
"Have you been taking your medication?" Her mom lowered her voice, Bev wincing slightly. "Beverly."
Beverly looked down at her mother gripping her wrist, the girl swallowing and shaking her head. "No, I ran out about two weeks ago."
"You should have told me." She muttered, dropping her wrist. Her mother walked back to the door and grabbed her jacket and keys, looking over her shoulder. "I'll be back, don't go anywhere. And clean up that mess."
Bev nodded, her mom walking out the door and slamming it behind her.

"I want one." Lydia mused, holding her coffee as her eyes trained on the twins. Allison turned around to look at them, before looking back at her best friend with a grin.
"Which one?"
"The straight one, obviously." She took a sip of her coffee, Allison glancing over in time to see Ethan and Danny staring at each other. Lydia took her chance as Ethan walked away, pushing herself up from the table.
She paused when she saw Aiden walk the opposite way, coming up behind the new Erica wannabe. She let out a huff of air and sat down, crossing her arms.
"You have got to be kidding me." Lydia scoffed, pursing her lips.
"What?" Allison asked, looking up from her laptop.
"I have a bad feeling about her." She nodded towards Beverly, chewing on the inside of her lip. "I don't think it's just a coincidence she looks like Erica."
The brunette followed her gaze, watching as Aiden reached above her and grabbed a book before handing it to her. "You think they know each other?"
"Who knows." Lydia muttered, taking a drink of her coffee.
Across the library, Bev took the book from Aiden and rolled her eyes. "They were just being neighborly."
"Are you sure? Did they seem-"
"Aiden." Bev turned to look at him, taking a deep breath. "I doubt they are psychotic killers."
"Well, you never know." Aiden sighed, shoving his hands in his pockets. Bev shifted uncomfortably, tapping her fingers on her book. "What?"
"Nothing." She snorted, shaking her head. "I'm fine."
Aiden frowned and pulled her deeper into the stacks, watching her intently. "What's wrong?"
"Do you remember, when I would uh," She cleared her throat, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. "See things?"
"Is it happening again?" He questioned, touching her arm lightly. "Do you remember what you saw? Are you taking your meds?"
"Yes, no, and-" Bev took a deep breath, looking down. "No."
"Bevie," Aiden sighed, Beverly crossing her arms. "You have to."
"I don't want to." She argued, rifling through her bag and pulling out two orange pill bottles. "Okay, there's something in my me that just doesn't want to."
"These are new." Aiden reached forward and grabbed one of them, shaking it around. The pills were purple, unlike her usual white ones.
"I don't know what they are." The blonde leaned against the bookshelf, closing her eyes. "But my mom-"
"Here." Aiden opened the bottle, taking out one of the strange pills. He gestured for the other bottle, Bev handing it over. After taking a pill from each he gave them back, holding the pills in his hand. "That's your dose for today, right?"
"Yeah."
"So, when your mom checks, it'll look like you took them." He shrugged, a smile growing on Bev's face.
"You're not gonna sneak them into my food or anything?" She whispered, Aiden shaking his head. "Thank you."
"No problem." Aiden smiled, Beverly's grin growing.
"I have to get to my locker before class, but thank you. I know how much my mom scares you." Bev laughed, standing up on her toes and kissing his cheek, taking him by surprise. "I'll see you later."
Aiden kept the smile on his face as she walked off, it instantly falling as he made eye contact with Ethan.
"You're supposed to be going after Lydia." Ethan glared at him, clenching his jaw. "Now catching up with your-"
"It was nothing."
"Then why did she kiss you?" He raised an eyebrow, Aiden letting out a sigh.
"One, it was on the cheek. I helped her get out of taking her pills." He held open his hand, his twin's eyes widening.
"Aiden, you can't do that." He hissed, looking over his shoulder.
"I just have one question, Ethan." Aiden dropped the purple pill on the ground, crushing it beneath his foot and stepping back, purple dust spilling on the carpet. "Why is Beverly's mom giving her aconite capsules?"
"Wolfsbane." Ethan frowned, his shoulders slumping. "Mandy will do everything she can to keep her away from her daughter, won't she?"
"I can't blame her, after what happened to Marshall."
