Y/n's pov

I was in first period, sitting next to Alex and I noticed that he would constantly be checking his phone which was a little odd. I put my head on his shoulder and he smiles down at me then his phone lights up. I roll my eyes and lift my head up.

Throughout the whole day Alex has been on his phone. What if he's cheating on me or something. When we were at lunch for some reason our friend group wasn't there so it was just me and Alex.

"Who are you texting?" I ask. "It's nobody." I roll my eyes and put my head down on the table. "You okay?" Alex asks. "I'm fine." I mutter. Alex pulls me to him and hugs me. I just sit there with my arms crossed looking around. "You sure you're okay?" "I don't know how about you ask the girl you're texting."

"Y/n I'm not cheating on you." "Then why have you been in your phone so much?" "I can't tell you that..." Alex trails off. I shake my head and storm out of the cafeteria.

At the end if the day I was walking into the parking lot. And one of my friends comes up to me and hands me a rose. "What's this for?" I ask in confusion. "You'll see." She smiles. I give her a weird look and continue walking.

There was a line of people looking at me with roses on their hands. I was genuinely confused. They all hand me a rose until I have a bouquet. I see Hugo recording and I walk over to my car.

As soon as I get there I see Alex holding up a sign that says "Every Troy needs his Gabriella, will you be my wildcat at prom?" And he was wearing a Wildcats Jersey. High school musical is our favorite movie and he knows how obsessed I am with it.

I cover my mouth in shock. Alex smiles at me and I shake my head yes and give him the biggest hug. He leans down and kisses me and I smile. "Is this why you were on your phone all day?" "Yeah, I just wanted everything to be perfect for you. You know I would never cheat, I love you."

"I love you too." I smile at him and hug him again. Our friends come running up to us and they all give me a hug.
