your eyes cautiously skimmed the room as you felt the hair on the back of your neck raise. something hadn't felt right, but what was it? you felt off balance, you felt like you weren't real.

"kaytlin? hey, you okay?" ethan's voice sounded distant. it sounded like you were trapped behind glass trying to find a way out.

something was wrong and you didn't know how to make it better.

your hands began to shake as tears filled your eyes and your vision became blurry. "kaytlin! hey, look at me!" you couldn't make your eyes move. they seemed to control themselves. ethan lifted your chin to look up at him. "im here. im right here."

your head began to spin and you felt like you were going to be sick. you didn't even know how to help yourself, you felt like you were only a guest in your own body. ethan surprised you by kissing you in a haste. your breathing began to slow down as your heart rate began to decrease by the second.

what had he done? why did you feel normal again?

"w-what?" you ask stunned.

"oh gods, baby," he pulled you in for a hug. his arms stayed wrapped around your body for the rest of the day.
