"y/n!" your boyfriend ethan says. he didn't like the name ethan, so everyone called him jughead. it suited him better.

you turn away from veronica and look at your boyfriend with a worried look on his face. "what's wrong, jughead?" you ask.

he looks at you and veronica in worry before he says, "you might wanna come hear this." he grabs your hand and you turn to give veronica a worried look. you all began to run down the hallway into the news room where archie and kevin sit.

"what's going on?" veronica says breaking the silence.

"kevin," archie announces. all eyes go on kevin as he nervously looks around the room.

"what is it, kev?" you ask. "what's going on?"

"it's joaquin," he softly says. his boyfriend? but why?

"what about him?"

"he worked with fp, and i-i think he knows who killed jason blossom," the room went silent as you struggled to form a sentence.

"how? what did he say to you?" veronica speaks up instead.

"he says that fp didn't pull the trigger, but someone else did. and i think he might know who. that's all i know, i swear," he raises his hands in defense.

"gods," jughead shakes his head. "at least my dad isn't a killer, right? because that would be unfortunate," he jokes. his laugh booms through the room as you shake your head.

"stop, jug. it's not funny," archie spits.

"whatever," he exits the room and you nod to veronica and give her hand a squeeze. you chase jughead down the hallway and pull on his hand to stop. "what, y/n?" he snaps.

"what's your problem?" you take a step back.

"everything. the fact that my dad is paying for something he didn't do pisses me off. he may be a bad guy, but he'd never kill anyone," he breathes out. "i just want all of this to stop!"

"ethan," you bring him in for a hug.

he groans in your shoulder. "i don't like my name."

"and i don't care. you're my boyfriend and i'll always be here for you. i know that somehow, you're in the middle of this mess because of your dad, but im here ethan. always," you kiss his cheek and he smiles in reply.

"you're the best thing to ever happened to me. how did i get so lucky?" he plants a kiss on your neck. "now, let's skip and go to pop's. we have to figure this out. even if it means my dad going to jail forever."
