you and your best friend vee went to a bar that ethan was performing at, along with his band. the both of you had a good connection from the start. his brother, grayson tried to get with you, but he was married. you were hurt and flirted with ethan in front of grayson.

soon, you forgot about grayson and focused more on ethan. the both of you spent sleepless nights together and did favors for each other.

you both claimed to be in love with each other, and you wanted it to be forever.

"let's get married," you said out of the blue.

his eyes stared at you and he grabbed your hand and gently kissed it. "okay."

hours later, you found yourselves in a court room with an official saying the lines and the both of you agreed to it with an "i do" and he kissed you. it felt like forever was in your hands.

you slept with your ex jimmy in your home that you shared with your other siblings. they all forced you to tell ethan what you did and you gave in.

"maybe we just need space," he said.

"space? okay, for how long?"

and now here you were at the bar and vee nagging in your ear.

"im glad your finally divorcing him. threat motherf.ucker deserves it after all that cheating you did to him."

she huffed. "it's true!"

you sighed and walked over to ethan. he saw you and told the guys to wait a minute. he pushed his hair back and smiled.

"hey," you said.

"hey. i didn't think you'd show."

you scratched the back of your neck. "yeah, we need to talk."

"can it wait till after? i have to start, but you should stay. i have a song i wrote for you."

"oh really?" you smiled and nodded your head. "alright, i guess i can't turn that down."

he nodded and went back in stage. you went back to vee and she grabbed your arm. "let's get out of here."

"no, we're gonna stay a little longer," you snatched your arm back and sat down on a stool.

she shrugged. "alright."

ethan went up to the mic and introduced himself. "hello everyone. im ethan and we're the misfits," cheers echoed. "and tonight is very special because i have my beautiful wife here. y/n, raise your hand please."

your curiously skimmed the room and raised your hand. something wasn't right. the last time he saw you, he could barely meet your eyes.
