he brushes the hair out of your face with his hand gently. you move but remain asleep. his eyes stay trained on your closed eyes, he wishes they would open to see your beautiful
y/e/c eyes.

his body is positioned next to yours on the fluffy bed with the tv softly playing in the background. your parents were down stairs talking back and forth about politics and caused you to wake up.

your eyes opened to see ethan staring down at you with soft eyes and a warm smile. "hey, i thought you left already," you spoke.

"i decided to stay a little longer," he confessed. "go back to sleep, baby."

you mumbled something incoherent under your breath as your eyes closed slowly. he gave a quick kiss to your forehead as you smiled in your sleep.

and that's when he knew he was falling in love with you.
