"ethan!" your loud voice echoed through the loud gym. the sound of sneakers sliding against the gym floor stopped and all eyes were on you. the basketball was placed in billy hargrove's hand (which i have story about it's called misunderstood btw).

"let's go, dolan! we don't have all day," billy mocked with a smirk.

ethan shot him an angry look before he went over to you and said: "what, y/n? im in the middle of a game right now. can this wait?"

it was important to you because you hadn't remembered a thing that happened last night. jack told you one story, but all the pieces weren't connecting.

"no, it can't," you spoke louder. you gripped his arm and walked out the the alley between the gym. "what happened last night?"

he shrugged. "what do you mean? you don't remember?" you crossed your arms and shamelessly shook your head. "god, y/n."

"c'mon ethan! i need to know."

"well you drank, a lot of 'pure fuel' and began to say things. hurtful things that you can't even remember," his eyes stay locked on yours.

you swallow. "what did i say?"

"you said that you loving me was bulls.hit. everything that we had was complete and utter bulls.hit. and you said my love for you was bulls.hit," he spat.

you sighed and rubbed your forehead. "i was out of it, ethan. how can you even believe all of that?"

"then tell me otherwise."

"how do i do that?"

"just tell me you love me!" he yelled. you were taken aback and struggled to find the words to say it to him. it was just three simple words that can make everything go back to normal. but what exactly was normal?

his face dropped as he stared at you.

"dolan, we need you! we're dying in there!" a random boy screamed wearing a green jersey.

"im coming!" ethan screamed back.

you awkwardly stood in your place with your eyes on his.

he laughed bitterly. "yeah, what a bunch of bulls.hit you are, y/n."
